Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: Reincarnation Squad

Chapter 21: Reincarnation Squad

The cliché situation where the new reincarnators refuse to believe this is the Main God Space, assume they've been kidnapped, and are about to cause a big scene didn't happen.

Perhaps it was also related to their current backdrop.

When a group of newcomers huddled by the window and saw the boundless universe.

Their last shred of hope finally died.

They gathered by the window, peering through the reinforced glass at the vast and boundless cosmos outside.

Starlight flickered outside the window, while the unease in their hearts continued to swell.

"How is this possible?" a young woman's voice trembled. Her hands gripped the window frame tightly, her knuckles turning white from the force.

"Look at these stars... how far are we from Earth?" A burly man's voice carried a trace of despair. His eyes swept across the starry sky, as if searching for that familiar blue planet, but he only saw an unfamiliar sea of stars.

"How are we going to get back?" A middle-aged man's voice was filled with anxiety. Sweat had already beaded on his forehead, and his eyes were full of terror of the unknown.

"Shut up! All of you, shut up!" a sharp voice broke the low murmur inside the cabin. A thin man waved his arms excitedly. "We have to find a way out, we can't just sit here and wait to die!"

The atmosphere inside the cabin grew increasingly tense as the newcomers' anxiety and terror spread through the air.

Some of them began to curse, venting their unease and anger.

"I want to go home! I want to see my family!" a woman sobbed, her voice covered by suppressed panic.

"Are we dreaming? This must be a nightmare!" a young man muttered to himself, his eyes unfocused, as if still unwilling to accept the reality before him.

Ren Arakawa quietly observed all this, knowing that these newcomers needed time to accept this cruel reality.

They were suddenly brought from a familiar world to an unknown cosmic space. Such a massive change was enough to make anyone feel terrified and uneasy.

As he recalled, the expected situation of veterans personally leading the team didn't occur. Er Niu, Da Qiang, and Meng Rui, the three members of the Farming Team, seemed to have no plans for these newcomers.

Ren Arakawa instantly understood what these three were planning to do.

Sell out their teammates.

The difficulty of the Main God Space would increase with the number of members.

Meng Rui and the others thought the Farming Team consisted of seven members, but the reality was that Ren Arakawa had used Da Qiang's points to repair his body, then secretly opened a door and hid himself away.

Therefore, the reincarnation team actually had six people.

In the horror film "Alien: Covenant," the instance was filled with up to twenty people.

The Main God clearly wanted to reduce their numbers.

This was a punishment for the Farming Team!

The entire team had to be purified through death!

How high would the difficulty be? It definitely wouldn't be a minor skirmish like with the single Xenomorph in the original movie.

It was very likely that what everyone was about to face was...

"No!"

A woman's scream drew everyone's attention.

A short-haired woman watched in despair as the hibernation pod caught fire, but she was powerless.

Lying inside the hibernation pod was Jacob, the captain of the Covenant, who was also the lover of the female protagonist, Daniels.

The flames "purified" the entire hibernation pod.

As the pod's door was finally broken open, the crowd watched as a charred corpse was carried out and placed on the ground.

The strong stench and the smell of burnt flesh caused everyone to feel a dual sense of psychological and physiological discomfort. The female lead, Daniels, ran to the corpse and began to cry bitterly.

Seeing this scene, the group of newcomers, who had just been clinging to a sliver of wishful thinking, finally quieted down.

"It's real... we've really entered a movie," a boy with dyed yellow hair who looked like a high school student stared blankly at the female lead Daniels's face. "I recognize this face."

"Never mind that we're in space, just this face alone... If this was a prank, how could they possibly have invited a big Hollywood star? It's too illogical!"

His words finally woke up the other newcomers.

Now, they could only think about how to survive this horror movie. Nothing else mattered.

"I'm very sorry, Daniels."

A resolute face emerged. It was the synthetic, Walter.

As Walter explained the situation to the movie's crew members, the members of the Reincarnation Team pricked up their ears, as this was also an explanation of the situation for them.

"While I was deploying the solar sails to recharge, we encountered a neutrino burst, and the ship was hit. That's why the alarm went off."

The first mate, Ola, was automatically promoted to captain. He walked over to Daniels, wanting to pat her on the back to comfort her, but he didn't expect Daniels to get up, run back to her room, and start sobbing.

The clean-up work was quickly assigned.

The tasks assigned to the newcomer reincarnators were mostly trivial matters, but even so, many of them failed to do them properly.

"Damn it! How did the Company select this bunch of rookies as colonist crew members?" Ola could only complain to himself and silently continue his work.

After the movie characters got busy, the group of newcomers gathered together.

"We must get these idiot movie characters to return to Earth!"

"Right! We can't let them go to that planet where the Xenomorph exists!"

Amidst their discussion, a "leader" was born.

He was a middle-aged man with a goatee named Avi.

According to him, he was a high-level executive at a company, managing a team of five hundred people for years, so it was logical for him to be the team leader.

The man stroked his goatee, his fingers tapping lightly on a tabletop, silent, as if in deep thought.

Ren Arakawa noticed the amused looks from the three Farming Team members on the side and found the situation somewhat comical.

The scene of veterans watching a show while the newcomers held a council was truly a rare sight.

"No, we can't change the flight path."

After thinking for a long time, Avi stated his opinion.

"Huh?! What are you saying?! We can't change the flight path? Do you want all of us to go to that Xenomorph planet to die?!" shouted a woman wearing a red scarf, looking like she had been pulled off a tour bus.

Her voice was very loud and piercing.

"Didn't you see the mission on our watches?" Avi raised his hand. "High risk means high reward. Since we're already here, we have to find a way to improve ourselves."

"Ah! What are you talking about?! Are you tired of living?! You guys can go if you want! I'm not going anyway!"

The Big Mom was the most difficult type of person to deal with anywhere, and Avi was at a loss for words.

"So noisy!"

Suddenly! A black shadow rushed over!

Before anyone could react, the very clamorous Big Mom was sent flying!

"Thud!"

"Ah!"

The Big Mom clutched her head, which felt like it was smoking, and looked around in a daze.

She only felt something flash before her eyes, and the next thing she knew, she was flying.

The newcomers stared in shock at the sudden appearance of Da Qiang.

Only Ren Arakawa lowered the brim of his hood, not looking up.

"Let me introduce myself." Da Qiang loosened his cuffs. "I am the veteran, Da Qiang."

As he spoke, he fixed his gaze on Avi, the leader chosen by the newcomers.

He paused, then continued, "I am the captain of this team!"

That single sentence made Avi look like a clown.

Da Qiang greatly enjoyed being stared at by everyone as if he were an immortal. He cleared his throat and continued:

"What I'm about to say next, if anyone dares to disobey, their fate will be the same as that woman's."

He suddenly raised his voice, making everyone's eardrums ache.

"Do you hear me?!"

All the newcomers nodded silently.

They didn't dare to say another word.

Avi? Although he was filled with reluctance, he also shrank his neck and pricked up his ears to listen.

Ren Arakawa, however, was silently calculating the power of Da Qiang's previous punch.
