Chapter 23 - 23

With his new abilities, Meng Ran decided to go looking for trouble with the Crocodile Gang.

Realizing that taking them all out at once wasn't realistic, Meng Ran decided to tackle them one by one.

During this time, he had also gathered information on the various leaders of the Crocodile Gang.

Meng Ran originally thought that eliminating Ur would throw the forces under his control into chaos.

Even if his subordinates weren't in disarray, based on Meng Ran's investigation, the other leaders would likely move in on his territory.

Either scenario would benefit Meng Ran's actions.

However, neither situation occurred.

Bob, the leader of the Crocodile Gang, directly consolidated all of Ur's former power into his own hands, preventing any chaos.

This was something Meng Ran hadn't anticipated; he was still young and hadn't considered so many possibilities.

But it didn't matter. With Meng Ran's current strength, there was no need for flashy tactics; a direct assault would suffice.

It was just a little more troublesome, having to find them one by one.

Meng Ran, guided by the information provided by Xiaobai, headed towards his target's location.

This journey might take a while, as it was another leader's territory, quite a distance from Ur's location.

As he traveled, Meng Ran wondered if he should get himself a cool mode of transport.

Bouncing between buildings all day wasn't practical and didn't fit the 'Evil Spirit' persona.

Short distances were fine, but long distances would just tire him out, even though Meng Ran didn't actually get tired.

Maybe wings? They seemed a bit ugly and strange.

How about a jetpack? The sound might be too loud, and the overall look a bit out of place.

Meng Ran pondered as he quickly made his way.

His speed was much faster than before.

Soon, he arrived near a villa.

This was the territory of Ibai Clayton, another leader of the Crocodile Gang, on the same level as Ur, but in a different area.

His territory bordered Ur's, and when Ur was still alive, the two often had minor conflicts.

After Ur was eliminated by Meng Ran, Ibai, full of ambition, wanted to swallow Ur's legacy.

But the leader suppressed him, saying to wait until this period passed.

Meng Ran hid in a tree not far from the villa.

At this hour, Ibai should still be inspecting his establishments and hadn't returned yet.

Meng Ran decided to wait there like a spider in its web.

Before long, several cars drove from a distance and stopped in front of the villa.

Seven or eight bodyguards emerged from the front and rear cars. One of them walked to the middle car's door and opened it for the person getting out.

The door opened, and a rather gaunt middle-aged man stepped out.

He wore a flamboyant red suit, his hair slicked back and gleaming, meticulously styled. His deep-set eyes, reflecting his prominent nose, gave him a very somber expression, a stark contrast to his opulent attire.

Meng Ran watched him enter the villa, while the black-clothed bodyguards dispersed to guard its perimeter.

As soon as the lights in his room came on, Meng Ran descended from the tree and stealthily approached the room.

Ibai entered his room, his jacket already taken by the butler.

A seductive woman, with her long, slender legs, walked up to Ibai.

She began to help Ibai relax his body.

Meng Ran, outside the window, was speechless. Why was he constantly forced to witness such things?

Venom immediately became excited; it remembered seeing such activities the first time it went out with Meng Ran, and it immediately shared its joy with Meng Ran.

Meng Ran mentally gave Venom a rap on the head, "Why aren't you usually this excited?"

Venom immediately looked aggrieved.

Meng Ran could only console it, "Good boy~ This isn't for good children to see. Be obedient, we won't watch."

With that, he covered Venom's vision again.

Inside the room, Ibai enjoyed the massage, relaxing his body.

Ibai nodded in satisfaction, then gestured for her to leave.

After standing up, the woman, with her slightly numb long legs, stumbled as she turned and exited the room.

"Bang!" A gunshot rang out, and the woman, who had just reached the doorway, fell to the ground, a blood flower blooming on her back.

Ibai put down the gun, then waved his hand impatiently.

Two black-clothed bodyguards came out and dragged the body away, and several others came with cleaning tools, quickly cleaning up the bloodstains.

The naked Ibai walked into the bathroom. Water had already been drawn in the bathtub, and his wife was waiting for him there.

The two took a lovers' bath, then went to bed for some activity before falling into a deep sleep.

For Ibai, the seductive woman who helped him undress was like a piece of toilet paper, to be discarded after use.

Anyway, he had as many such pieces of toilet paper as he wanted.

Of course, Meng Ran couldn't just watch Ibai and his wife sleep.

After seeing Ibai dispose of the woman, Meng Ran went elsewhere.

He had originally intended to simply eliminate him, but after witnessing Ibai's actions, he decided to take some time to prepare a gift for Ibai.

Ibai, sleeping in his bed, had no idea Meng Ran was preparing a gift for him.

Late at night, Ibai felt a bit thirsty. He had originally wanted to ask his wife to get him a glass of water, but his hand reached out and found nothing.

Helpless, Ibai had no choice but to get up himself to pour water.

He was already very irritable today, not because of Ur's death a few days ago.

But because after Ur's death, his territory hadn't been swallowed by him.

Not only had the boss personally called to warn him not to make any small moves, but those damned brothers had also called to mock him.

He had bragged to them that when Ur died, the boss would definitely let him take over Ur's territory, because only he, Ibai, was qualified.

Now, the result was this, and Ibai's face was practically swollen from being slapped.

Moreover, during this time, that Evil Spirit was specifically killing criminals, and his white powder business had been greatly affected.

After a few of the small-time dealers responsible for selling were slaughtered by the Evil Spirit, no one dared to go out and sell goods anymore.

He had increased the commission to get a few desperadoes to continue selling, but they were slaughtered again.

Now everyone was panicking. Alas~ being in the gang business wasn't easy either.

Ibai fumbled in the dark, poured himself a glass of water, and suddenly felt something wet under his feet.

He instinctively pulled open the curtains, and bright moonlight streamed in.

Ibai used the moonlight to see the situation in the bedroom clearly.

Instantly, his eyes widened, and the cup in his hand fell to the floor in fright.

What he had just stepped on wasn't water, but fresh blood!

Just then, a head rolled to his feet.

This head had long hair; it was his wife, whom he hadn't found earlier.

Ibai was scared out of his wits, an awful scream escaped his lips, and with a tremor in his leg, he kicked the head away.

"Wow! Mr. Ibai, what a shot, all down!" A hoarse, unpleasant voice came from the sofa.

Ibai followed the sound.

His wife's head had been kicked to the middle of the room, where a small tower made of heads was stacked. The head he kicked knocked over the small tower, and a pile of heads immediately rolled across the floor.

And on the sofa behind, a figure merged with the darkness sat, Ibai could only see a pair of evil eyes staring at him. And a gaping, blood-red mouth, with a scarlet tongue extended, dripping viscous saliva.

Ibai remembered Ur's death a few days ago and immediately understood.

He said in a trembling voice, "You… you are the Evil Spirit?"

Meng Ran stood up at the words, clapping his hands as he said, "I'm very gratified. It seems I've become famous."

"Excellent. To reward you, I've decided to put your head on top. What do you think?"

"This is my welcoming gift to you, Mr. Ibai. Please accept it."

Ibai watched Meng Ran approach, his heart filled with terror.

He quickly ran to his bedside table, pulled out a handgun from inside.

He leaned against the French window, holding the gun pointed at Meng Ran. At the same time, he loudly called out.

"Oh~ Poor Ibai, what are you still calling for? Didn't you just kick their heads down?"

Ghostly stealth was truly effective; he had just slaughtered everyone in the entire villa area, and not a single person had seen a trace of him.

They all lost their lives in a daze.

Ibai felt a surge of despair upon hearing Meng Ran's words.

"Ahhhhhh!" he screamed while firing at Meng Ran.

Bang, bang, bang! The bullets were all gone, but Meng Ran still stood before him.

The Venom on Meng Ran's body rippled with a viscous wave, then the bullets were spat out with a clatter, falling to the ground.

"Ptooey, ptooey, so tasteless. Braised pork ribs are much better," Venom conveyed its emotions to Meng Ran, who mentally patted Venom's head to soothe it, "Good boy, then eat more next time."

Meng Ran looked at Ibai, his hoarse voice sounding, "I think you might regret not saving a bullet for yourself later."

As soon as his voice fell, Meng Ran's hand transformed into a tentacle and coiled around Ibai.

Meng Ran squeezed tightly with one hand, and Ibai, with only his head exposed, let out a wail, and only his head rolled off.

Except for his head, all other parts of Ibai were crushed into a bloody pulp.

Meng Ran shook his hand, flicking the filth onto the ground.

"Now you're still on top of them, Mr. Ibai," Meng Ran said coldly.

Unfortunately, Ibai was no longer able to answer him.

Meng Ran held Ibai's head in his hand, and at the same time, countless tentacles extended from his body, arranging the scattered heads on the ground.

Meng Ran placed Ibai's head on the very top.

After he finished, he extended a tentacle to pick up the camera in a corner, then aimed the camera at his terrifying face and said, "Next, it might be you, heh heh heh heh!"

The hoarse, unpleasant, terrifying laughter echoed in the room.
