As they cultivated, three days passed in a flash, and Kyle's ability activated again, bringing the three of them to the One Piece World.
Cultivating Haki was impossible in the Hunter World; they had to travel here. This also meant that strengthening their Haki necessitated these regular trips.
"Is this an alternate world?" Killua took a deep breath of the pollution-free air, looking at the boundless blue sea and the rugged architecture before him, saying excitedly.
"Hmm, but the most urgent matter is to exchange for this world's currency," Kyle said, taking out several antique-style porcelain bottles from his backpack, which were common in the Hunter World.
"How much can this thing sell for?" Killua picked up a bottle, flicked it with his fingertip, producing a clear sound. "The craftsmanship is decent, but where we come from, it's just street vendor junk."
"Rarity makes value," Kyle smiled confidently.
"Look at this glaze, smooth as a mirror; this painting style, with its bold colors and freehand lines, as if a dream was splashed onto it. In this world dominated by sailing ships and cannons, this is absolutely unique art."
The three walked towards Shells Town's dock, where it was bustling with people, and workers were busy unloading various goods from cargo ships.
Kyle's gaze swept around, quickly locking onto a target—a middle-aged man with a mustache, lying back in a rocking chair with his eyes closed.
He was well-dressed, and a young attendant beside him was negotiating with a ship merchant, while he himself appeared leisurely and indifferent.
"We'll approach him," Kyle whispered.
"Tsk, he looks like an old fox at first glance," Killua pouted.
"The smarter a person is, the more easily they fall prey to 'information asymmetry,'" Kyle chuckled slyly, whispering a few words to Gon and Killua, briefing them on the upcoming 'script.'
With the plan set, Kyle led the way, putting on a timid yet expectant expression. "U-Uncle, we have something good, would you like to see it?"
The mustached man lazily opened his eyes, glanced at the three children, and impatiently waved his hand: "Go, go, go, what good thing could little brats have? Don't disturb my rest."
Kyle wasn't discouraged; he calmly took out a porcelain bottle from his backpack.
The midday sun shone perfectly, and the flowing cobalt blue glaze and modern abstract patterns on the bottle instantly reflected a strange luster.
A merchant nearby, who was inspecting goods, accidentally caught sight of it; his hand trembled, and his expensive cigar almost fell to the ground. "This... what kind of craftsmanship is this?! Which kingdom's porcelain is this?!"
This exclamation, like a stone thrown into calm water, immediately attracted the attention of many nearby merchants.
The mustached man's eyes fully opened, and the moment his gaze met the porcelain bottle, his pupils sharply contracted, and his body instinctively sat upright in the rocking chair.
But he was, after all, an experienced merchant, and he quickly suppressed his shock, replacing his expression with one of pickiness mixed with a hint of condescension.
"Hmm... the bottle's texture is average, but the painting... It's somewhat interesting, like a child's casual doodle, so it's quite unique," he stroked his chin, feigning contemplation. "Fine, seeing that you little ones aren't easy, I'll offer 300 Berries, just as a good deed."
Immediately, a few suppressed snickers and whispers arose from the surroundings; clearly, everyone felt the price was outrageously low.
Although Gon was clueless about business, his newborn Observation Haki could clearly sense the complex emotions of "greed," "disdain," and "eagerness" surging from the surrounding crowd.
From this, he could tell that this item was definitely not as the mustached man claimed. The price was so cheap.
He widened his eyes, as if observing a real-life social studies class.
Killua, with his hands in his pockets, curled his lips into a knowing, cold smile, quietly awaiting the show.
"300 Berries?" Kyle blinked his seemingly innocent large eyes and began clumsily counting on his fingers, "That can buy so many, many popsicles! Thank you, Uncle!" With that, he made to hand over the vase.
"Wait!" Finally, a slightly chubby merchant couldn't hold back.
He pushed forward and shouted, "Little brother, don't be hasty! He's cheating you! This thing is worth far more than that! I'll offer 2000 Berries!"
Kyle's hand instantly recoiled as if startled, his eyes wide: "Two... two thousand? How many popsicles can that buy?" He deliberately feigned confusion, as if unable to calculate.
At this, as if a fuse had been lit, this area of the dock completely erupted.
"I'll offer 2500!"
"3000! Sell it to me!"
"Stop fighting! I'll offer 5000 Berries, plus a precise map of the East Blue!"
The price soared like a rocket, and merchants gathered around, arguing heatedly.
The mustached middle-aged man's mustache bristled with anger, his face turning from red to green.
He suddenly jumped out of his rocking chair, pointing at the group of "disruptors" and roaring: "Bastards! This deal was mine first! Don't you understand the rules! I'll offer one million Berries!"
Kyle watched this chaotic auction, which he had personally orchestrated, with inner glee, yet maintained an even more "bewildered" and troubled expression on his face.
But from his expression, it was clear that he was asking if anyone present would bid more.
Killua finally couldn't help but let out a snicker, while Gon observed the wonderful changes in everyone's facial expressions with even greater focus.
The increase in Berries continued, and soon it was called out to one million Berries.
Gon's eyes widened. He had never imagined that the street vendor item Kyle bought for one hundred Jenny in the Hunter World could sell for one million Berries in an alternate world.
If they followed this money-making method, could they bring some items from the alternate world back to their original world and sell them for astronomical prices, too?
Killua naturally thought of this as well. If that were truly the case, wouldn't they have endless money?
Thinking of those exquisite chocolates, Killua's mouth began to water.
Just after the mustached man called out one million one hundred thousand Berries, no other vendors contended with him.
An item that could have been bought for three hundred Berries ended up costing over a million. As he handed the money to Kyle, he felt as if the flesh on his body ached.
Some pirates carrying swords saw the situation here. Seeing that Kyle and his companions were just three children, they exchanged glances and all showed excited expressions.
After Kyle and his group, carrying a large sum of money, left the dock and headed towards the town, Killua immediately sensed they were being followed and said with a smile, "We're being followed."
"It's just a few small fry, but keeping them around is somewhat useful. Gon, take some money and buy more food in the shopping district. We'll meet in the mountain spot where we practiced last time."
Kyle took out ten thousand Berries from his backpack and handed them to Gon.
Gon took the money, nodded, and headed towards the shopping district.
Killua and Kyle went directly towards the Mountain on the right.
The pirates following behind watched them split up and showed no intention of chasing Gon; instead, all headed in the direction of Killua and Kyle.
