At first, when the I realized I was also scared and filled with dread when the others were also struck with it, I didn't understand while I was feeling the immense dread.
I mean, out of everyone of us, I was the least likely to die, I could literally be on the other side of the planet right now if I wished. So why did I also feel it alongside everyone? It was as puzzling as it was frustrating.
So why did I feel the dread heighten when Rose bolted at the creature? Surely the dread wasn't because of her right? But... that was impossible, I didn't care nearly enough about her to feel scared for her.
But why was there suddenly a second figure rushing after her? It took me another moment to realize that the second figure was... me.
"We'll be damned." I cursed, as I sped across the water after her. The creature had probably used the Naga queen's ability to lure Rose towards itself.
