Time passed like an unseen variable, and before I knew it, we were already at the seventeenth hour since the egg challenge phase began. To my disappointment, I hadn't managed to find Fabian in the mushroom grotto. What I did see though, was the corpse of a slimy, headless, and tailless beast whose species I couldn't recognize.
The place it's head was supposed to be, had slight frays of decay, which I reckon was Fabian's work. And judging from how the corpse had been at that time, I had missed him by the minutes.
So, I abandoned my not so logical mission of finding Fabian just to annoy him, and focused more on hoarding more eggs. During the past nine hours, I had eliminated quite a lot of students, be it with my main body, or through my reflections.
Yep, a whole bunch of students were probably angry at my ass now. I wasn't bothered though, it wasn't like I cared what they thought.
