"Strength protects. Wisdom unites. But only purpose endures."

The Watchtower, Geosynchronous Orbit
The Earth hung vast and blue beneath the Watchtower's panoramic window — a silent witness to history being written again.
Every seat in the great chamber was filled.
The Justice League occupied the central crescent: Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Aquaman, Flash, Martian Manhunter, Red Tornado, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Zatara, Green Lantern and Hawkgirl.
To their left sat the Atlantean royal delegation — Mera accompanied by Atlanna, their presence radiant and severe.
On the opposite side: the World Government representatives, led by Amanda Waller, flanked by advisors and UN envoys.
Across from them — Lex Luthor, calm, poised, the faintest gleam of ambition in his eyes. While accompanied by Mercy Graves his cyborg assistant plus bodyguard.
At the head of the table stood King. No armor. No spectacle. Just presence — enough to still even the hum of the station.
The Opening
"Thank you for coming," King began, his voice level, resonant.
"Not because I asked, but because the world demanded it."
A faint pulse echoed through the Watchtower as the King Engine idled low — not a threat but a heartbeat of authority.
Superman folded his arms. "You called this summit. Tell us what you're proposing."
King stepped forward, his gaze passing over every faction — god, human and monarch alike.
"Survival," He said simply. "Not of a nation or a league. Of Earth."
He turned toward the projection table. A holographic Earth spun into view — seas warming, forests thinning, energy grids glowing red.
"The threats that divide us — pollution, climate collapse, resource exhaustion — are already beyond the reach of isolated power.
And the ones beyond the stars," he gestured upward, "will not wait for us to mature."
A gesture to Zod's invasion.
He looked toward Luthor. "Intellect without moral restraint leads to ruin. A lesson you have learned."
Then to Waller. "Power without empathy breeds tyranny."
To Arthur/Aquaman. "Isolation beneath the waves invites decay above them."
And finally, to the League. "Heroism without unity is theater."
The room fell silent.
The Proposal
King's hand brushed the console and seven symbols appeared — representing each faction/country.
"I propose an accord. A covenant of cooperation, not control."
He looked at Batman.
"Wayne Tech will provide transparency in renewable and defensive technology."
To Luthor.
"LexCorp will share its research on weapons and Kryptonian technology under open oversight — not government, not corporate but planetary."
To Aquaman and Mera.
"Atlantis and its sister kingdoms will collaborate with the surface to heal the oceans and establish protected biospheres."
To the league.
"The League will coordinate crisis intervention across political boundaries. No more red tape in the face of extinction."
And to Waller and the UN.
"The governments of Earth will recognize this council — not as a ruling body but as a guardian alliance.
Each faction equal, each accountable."
Waller's eyes narrowed. "And who enforces that accountability? You?"
King met her gaze, calm but unyielding. "No. The truth does."
The Debate
Lex leaned forward, steepling his fingers. "A global accord with you as the moral compass. Sounds dangerously close to soft domination."
Batman's eyes flicked to him. "Yet you're here, Luthor."
Lex's smirk faded. "Because even I can read a trajectory. But tell me, King — how do you expect cooperation from those who fear you?"
King's reply came without hesitation.
"Fear is not a condition. It's a choice. Replace it with comprehension and it dies."
Aquaman interjected, his tone skeptical but respectful. "And if Atlantis refuses?"
King turned to him. "Then the surface drowns slower. But it still drowns while poisoning the ocean."
Mera's eyes softened — not in surrender, but recognition. "Then we'll cooperate. But not as subjects — as equals."
King nodded. "That is the only way this works."
The Moment of Consensus
After hours of tension, words and silence, it was Superman who finally spoke.
"Maybe this is what we were always supposed to be doing." He said.
"Not saving people one at a time but giving them the chance to save themselves."
Batman added, "If transparency holds, I'll sign on. But I'll be watching."
Luthor chuckled dryly. "You always are."
Amanda Waller exhaled, resigning herself to pragmatism. "Fine. I'll play nice — as long as this doesn't become another god's playground."
King inclined his head. "No playground. Just home."
The Accord
King raised his hand. The holographic sigils above the table began to intertwine — light threads weaving between them, forming a luminous globe that hovered in midair.
"The Accord of Earth." King declared.
"An agreement not of allegiance but of purpose.
To restore what we have broken, defend what we have endangered and prepare for what is coming."
The lights pulsed, synchronizing like a heartbeat.
Each representative — hero, leader and cynic alike — placed their symbol into the light.
For the first time in recorded history, the world was aligned in a single purpose.
Epilogue
As the meeting adjourned, Superman and Batman lingered.
"Do you trust him?" Bruce asked.
Clark's gaze followed King, who stood by the window watching Earth turn.
"Trust?" He said softly. "No. But I believe him."
King's reflection in the glass flickered faintly as he whispered to himself:
"The age of solitude ends. Now begins the age of understanding."
