Tonia's POV
The crowd murmured nervously as the Executioners filed into the hall, their dark presence commanding immediate attention. Most people here had probably never seen them before, yet something about their aura made everyone freeze in place. The air itself seemed to thicken around them.
While the others headed toward the stage where Kermit waited, two of them broke away from the group. They were walking straight toward me in the VIP section.
My lungs forgot how to work. The terror flooding through me was unlike anything I had ever experienced. Did they already know? Had they figured out my secret?
"Why are they coming over here?" Gia whispered beside me, her voice tight with concern.
I watched the remaining Executioners approach Kermit on stage. One of them glanced in my direction and gave a subtle nod to his colleagues standing before me.
"We need you to come with us, ma'am. Please," the taller one said, his tone polite but leaving no room for negotiation.
