Tonia's POV
The impact hit me like a freight train. My vision blurred and the entire room began spinning wildly around me.
What in the world...
My knees buckled and I barely caught myself against the dresser, gripping the edge with white knuckles.
Dear god, what did I just consume? What was in that substance?
The feeling was far worse than any hangover I'd ever experienced. It was as if someone had slipped me something powerful enough to knock out a horse.
My limbs felt heavy and uncoordinated as I stumbled toward my bed. I didn't make it that far before collapsing onto the carpet, my head coming to rest against the mattress edge.
I squeezed my eyes shut, listening to my heartbeat thunder in my ears.
A while passed before the worst of it subsided.
But then something strange happened. The discomfort transformed into something else entirely.
Pure bliss washed over me and I couldn't help but laugh softly at the incredible sensation.
