Tonia's POV
"Okay, what now?" I asked, turning to face her with barely concealed exasperation.
"The twins. I know their birthday is this weekend. I've been thinking about what gifts might make them happy. Could you help me choose something appropriate?"
My eyebrows shot up in surprise. Seriously? Gia wanted to buy them presents?
After our unexpected conversation in the garden earlier, I had discovered that Gia possessed a surprisingly gentle side when she chose to reveal it. She embodied the perfect contradiction of sweet innocence mixed with unpredictable intensity.
Her excitement while discussing potential gifts was genuinely infectious, and her childlike enthusiasm when exploring different options actually made me smile despite myself.
Once I finished helping her, I headed to the playground where the children were enjoying their afternoon activities.
