Tonia's POV
"How are you holding up, Tonia?" Her voice carried that familiar chill that could freeze fire.
The woman possessed an intimidating presence that left no doubt she had raised someone like Kermit.
"I'm doing wonderful, Luna. How about you?" The last part came out shakier than I intended.
Predictably, she ignored my question entirely.
"I see you and Kermit have been getting quite comfortable with each other lately."
My brow furrowed as I struggled to read her expression.
"I've noticed how cheerful you both seem these past few days. Yesterday you even dropped by his office for a visit."
She let out a cold laugh. "How charming."
Where exactly was she going with this?
"Is something wrong, Luna?"
