Chapter 190: Dragunity
As Kiryu's speech clearly and thoroughly analyzed how The Top Echelons used various means to exploit the surplus value of the commoners, the faces of the Five Elders on the high platform grew increasingly grim.
"I didn't expect them to choose this moment to act," the central Five Elder gritted his teeth.
"It seems I'm not the only one who wants to pull chestnuts out of the fire." Seeing Kiryu's actions, Roger was surprised, yet also a little pleased. The Revolutionary Army's intervention gave his plan more flexibility.
"State your demands. A great war is upon us; this is no time for infighting," one of the Five Elders said to Roger with a benevolent smile. The Revolutionary Army's sudden interference had made them anxious as well.
After all, if Roger took power, he would, at most, take a portion of their power and interests. But the Revolutionary Army... judging from Kiryu's speech alone, it was clear they were digging up their very foundation.
"Erupt from your silence, brothers and sisters of the Commons! If we don't erupt now, we will perish in silence!"
"Getting anxious?" Roger asked with a smirk, enjoying Kiryu's speech. "Your attitude was quite different just a moment ago."
"Stop joking! If these rebels gain momentum, you won't escape either!" The most short-tempered of the Five Elders, provoked by Roger's attitude, couldn't help but snap.
"I want control of the entire Duelist Army in Neo Domino City," Roger said, knowing when to quit while he was ahead.
"That's impossible," the Five Elders refused without a second thought.
"Then let's just drag this out and see how far their revolution gets. I'm quite curious myself," Roger said unhurriedly, unfazed by their refusal.

In the Garden Courtyard of The Top Echelons, Jack quietly watched Kiryu's speech in his large room, his expressionless face betraying nothing of his thoughts.
Meanwhile, on the steps in front of the TV Station, Yūga Hōzumi, Serena, and Yuzu watched Kiryu's passionate speech on a large screen in the distance, looking bored. Behind them, the soldiers of the Revolutionary Army stood ready for battle.
Soon after, a unit of what looked like a well-trained Duelist Army began to surround them from all directions.
"Took them long enough." Watching the army close in, Yūga Hōzumi stretched his limbs and got to his feet.
"Doesn't look like they're from Security," Yūga Hōzumi mused, pulling up the data on Neo Domino City's Duelist Army that Reiji Akaba had given him.
This unit was the Duelist Army usually stationed at the Card Factory not far from the TV Station. Their commander, Noah, was the duelist who'd fought Jack to the very last moment before the throne six years ago.
Yūga Hōzumi reviewed the information on this army, activated his Duel Disk, and prepared for battle.
Behind Yūga Hōzumi, the Revolutionary Army soldiers faced the surrounding army. Each one silently activated their Duel Disk, their faces devoid of fear as they awaited the decisive battle.
"Cease all your actions and surrender with your hands up!" Down below the steps, the army's commander, Noah, whom Yūga Hōzumi had just read about, issued a stern warning.
"I thought Security would be the first to arrive," Yūga Hōzumi said, shrugging indifferently at Noah's threat.
"Do you mistake me for one of those worthless grunts from Security?" Noah demanded, his voice cold as he looked up at Yūga Hōzumi's unconcerned expression.
"No, no, you misunderstand. I just mean that if Security had come, they wouldn't have bothered with pre-battle speeches. It's just a little unusual, that's all."
"Besides, does it really matter if it's you or Security? It's not like we planned on surrendering meekly anyway," Yūga Hōzumi said, raising his activated Duel Disk.
"Comrades! Our leader is inside, trying to ignite the flame of hope for the future, but these people want to snuff it out! Tell me, will you let them?" Yūga Hōzumi shouted.
"NO!" the soldiers behind Yūga Hōzumi roared in response.
"Then let's go! Show these lackeys of The Top Echelons the wrath of the commoners!"
Yūga Hōzumi roared, leading the charge toward the army below.
Yūga Hōzumi sought out their leader, Noah, and his Duel Disk's compulsory duel program locked onto him.
"Hmph, you're asking to die!" Noah snorted coldly and met his charge.
"Duel!" x2
"My turn!" Noah took the first turn.
"I activate the Field Spell, Dragon Ravine!"
Watching Noah play his card, Yūga Hōzumi's brow furrowed. *A Dragunity Deck?*
"I activate the effect of Dragon Ravine! Once per turn, I can discard one card to add a Level 4 or lower 'Dragunity' monster from my Deck to my hand!"
"I'll add Dragunity Senatus from my Deck to my hand! Then, I Normal Summon it!"
"I activate the effect of Dragunity Senatus! Once per turn, by discarding one 'Dragunity' card, I can equip one 'Dragunity' Tuner monster from my Deck to this card."
"I'll equip Dragunity Phalanx from my Deck to Dragunity Senatus!"
"Now I activate the effect of Dragunity Phalanx while it's an Equip Card! I can Special Summon it!"
"When the Tuner monster on my field, Dragunity Phalanx, is used as Synchro Material, its Level can be treated as 4!"
"I tune the Level 4 Dragunity Phalanx with the Level 4 Dragunity Senatus!"

"Knight who rides the gales, sally forth and sweep across the battlefield! Synchro Summon! Appear, Level 8! Dragunity Knight - Gae Dearg!"
At the end of the hurricane-swept Path of Stars, a knight holding a long spear appears, riding a great dragon.

"Next, Dragunity Dux has the same effect when it's an Equip Card! I Special Summon it as well!"
"I now tune the Level 2 Dragunity Phalanx with the Level 8 Dragunity Knight - Gae Dearg!"

"Knight who returned from Hell, having tamed a dragon of poison! Emerge now, and with your great beast, unleash a venomous storm upon this battlefield! Synchro Summon! Come forth, Level 10! Dragunity Knight - Venom Spear!"
A hoarse dragon's roar echoed through the gale-swept Path of Stars. A dark-blue poison dragon roared, stirring up clouds of venomous mist. Within the fog, the spear in the hands of the knight on the dragon's back glowed with a faint, violet light.
