# Chapter 91: Undying Body?
"Looks like the effects of your cards on the Field that negate monster effects are almost used up, aren't they?" Aster Phoenix laughed, despite Disk Man's effect being hindered.
"That's right, they're pretty much used up," Yūga Hōzumi admitted.
"Then, Destiny HERO - Dystopia Guy's effect activates! If this card's ATK is different from its original ATK: Target 1 card on the Field; destroy that card, and if you do, this card's ATK becomes its original ATK."
After Dystopia Guy's palm cannon began charging, Aster Phoenix suddenly realized that he couldn't target Beast Armor Combination - Lion Hope Ray with the effect on his Duel Disk.
"Because of the effect of Odd-Eyes United Heart Arms - Wind Cloud Dragon Sword, Lion Hope Ray equipped with it cannot be targeted by effects," Yūga Hōzumi slowly said. "Furthermore, due to the effect of another equipped 'Zexal Weapon' card, 'Zexal Weapon - Tigris Swords', while this card is equipped, 'Zexal Weapon' cards on my Field cannot be destroyed by your opponent's effects."
"Then, I'll use Dystopia Guy's effect to destroy the Set card in your Backrow." Dystopia Guy's effect couldn't do anything against Utopia's combo, so it resorted to destroying Yūga Hōzumi's Set card in the Backrow.
"At this instant, Trap Card, Dimension Xyz activates! Target two monsters in your Graveyard with the same name and Level; banish those two monsters. Then, Special Summon 1 Xyz Monster from your Extra Deck whose Rank is equal to the Level of the banished monsters by Xyz Summon. After that, attach this card to that monster as an Xyz Material."
Yūga Hōzumi's last Set card in the Backrow suddenly flipped open just as the energy blast fired by Dystopia Guy was about to shatter it.
An illusory Stardust Vortex slowly materialized under the guidance of this card.
"I banish two 'Zubababa Dwarf - Dododo Gauntlets' from my Graveyard!"
"Appear! Deep-sea dragon that gazes upon the world from the abyss! Xyz Summon! Rank 4! Abyss Dweller!"

After the giant dragon from the deep sea appeared on the Field, its eerie eyes gazed at the magnificent Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer on Aster Phoenix's Field, a gaze that sent an unsettling feeling to Aster Phoenix's heart.
But, having come this far, Aster Phoenix had no reason to retreat.
"It just can't be targeted by effects? But don't forget, Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer's destruction effect is a non-targeting effect." Aster Phoenix smiled confidently.
"Of course I didn't forget. So, Beast Armor Combination - Lion Hope Ray's effect activates! Once per turn, if this card is equipped with a 'Zexal Weapon' monster card: You can target 1 Effect Monster on your opponent's Field; negate that monster's effects, and its ATK becomes half its current ATK."
Yūga Hōzumi smiled and waved his hand. Lion Hope Ray's wings suddenly unfurled, and a surging beam of light shot from between its wings towards Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer.
"Foolish, a targeting effect like that can't deal with Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer!" Aster Phoenix scoffed. "Destiny HERO - Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer's effect activates! Choose 1 card you control and 1 card on the Field; destroy them."
Aster Phoenix waved his hand, and a phoenix cry resounded through the sky. Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer transformed into blazing fire and surged towards the majestic Utopia in front of Yūga Hōzumi.
"At this instant, Abyss Dweller's effect activates!" The abyss dragon let out a sinister chuckle, swallowed the blue orb of light hovering beside it, then unfurled its wings, and an eerie blue light enveloped the entire Field.
"Once per turn, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; this turn, your opponent cannot activate the effects of cards in their Graveyard. This effect can also be activated during your opponent's turn," Yūga Hōzumi slowly explained.
"What?! This means..." Aster Phoenix, who had been full of confidence, suddenly changed expression.
"That's right, your so-called perfect monster's undying body is truly dead now," Yūga Hōzumi said with a smile.
Originally, Yūga Hōzumi could have used a Trap Card at the very beginning of the turn to immediately Summon "Sewers" — the only counter against Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer in his Deck — and activate its effect, preventing Aster Phoenix from using Celestial's Graveyard effect to replenish his hand. However, if Yūga Hōzumi couldn't defeat Aster Phoenix in the next turn, he would have to face a persistent opponent who could repeatedly stall, and his chances of winning would decrease. That's why Yūga Hōzumi preferred to let Aster Phoenix draw two cards, just to shut this thing down completely.
"Zexal Weapon - Tigris Swords's effect: If the equipped monster would be destroyed by an effect, you can destroy this card instead."
The white tiger greatsword hovering around Lion Hope Ray reverted to its original white tiger form, blocking the blazing fire, perishing with it.

"Hahaha, interesting. As expected of you, you found Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer's weakness so quickly?" Aster Phoenix laughed after a brief silence.
"Then, Spell Card, Fusion Recovery activates! Target 1 'Fusion' Spell Card and 1 Fusion Material Monster that was used for a Fusion Summon in your Graveyard; add those cards to your Hand." Aster Phoenix revealed his last card in hand.
"I add the 'Fusion' Spell Card from my Graveyard and 'Destiny HERO - Negation Man', which was sent to the Graveyard as Fusion Material for 'Dystopia Guy', to my hand!"
"Spell Card, Fusion activates!"
"I fuse 'Destiny HERO - Dystopia Guy' on my Field with 'Destiny HERO - Diamond Dude'!"
"Oh, HEROes of the dark world! Oh, shining HEROes! Now, become one and reign over the Ideal Utopia!"
Aster Phoenix clasped his hands together in front of his chest, and dazzling light shone from the fusion vortex behind him.
"Fusion Summon! Appear! My ace monster! Level 10! Destiny HERO - Dusktopia!"
The shimmering golden light slowly subsided, and the warrior clad in dazzling golden armor slowly descended.

"Next, Destiny HERO - Dusktopia's effect activates! During the Main Phase of the turn this card was Fusion Summoned: You can send Fusion Material Monsters determined by a Fusion Monster Card from your hand or Field to the Graveyard, and Fusion Summon that 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck (Anime Effect)."
"I'll fuse 'Destiny HERO - Negation Man' from my Hand and 'Destiny HERO - Disk Man' on my Field!"
"Descend once more! Destiny HERO - Dystopia Guy!"

"Dystopia Guy's effect activates! If this card is Special Summoned: Target 1 Level 4 or lower 'Destiny HERO' monster in your Graveyard; inflict damage to your opponent equal to that monster's ATK. Hand of Oppression!"
"Take 1400 points of damage, equal to 'Destiny HERO - Diamond Dude's' ATK in the Graveyard!"
Dystopia Guy Unit 2 charged a dark orb of energy in its palm and hurled it at Yūga Hōzumi.
