# Chapter 80: Chaos Xyz Transformation
"I banish Shaddoll Hound and Shaddoll Ariel from my Graveyard! Fusion Summon!"
"Oh, hound in the shadows! Oh, water priestess of the dark night! Fuse and descend in the name of God to bring forth ultimate annihilation! Fusion Summon! Level 9! El Shaddoll Anomalilith!"
From a Set card in Pamela's backrow, a purple core slowly rose. After the phantoms of the puppet hound and the blue-haired priestess were swallowed by it, an illusory vortex swirled into form.
A moment later, a puppet-like figure clad in light pink gauze emerged from the vortex, its slightly opened eyes radiating divine brilliance.
El Shaddoll Anomalilith ATK: 2700
"El Shaddoll Anomalilith's attribute is WATER, so I can send one WATER monster on your field to the Graveyard."
"I send your Bahamut Shark to the Graveyard." Pamela waved her hand, and a ray of light shot out from the purple core in her backrow. When this ray touched Bahamut Shark, the body of the shark-headed sea dragon slowly disintegrated.
"Next, I summon a monster in face-down Defense Position!"
"I activate the Trap Card, Shaddoll Gimmick! I send one 'Shaddoll' card from my Deck to the Graveyard, then change any number of my face-down 'Shaddoll' monsters to face-up Defense Position."
"I'll send Shaddoll Falcon from my Deck to the Graveyard and flip my Set Shaddoll Lizard to face-up Defense Position!"
"Shaddoll Lizard's Flip Effect activates! When this card is flipped, I can target one monster on the field and destroy it."
"I'll destroy the other Shaddoll Lizard, the one Set on your field," Pamela said, pointing at a Set card on Sugihara Yo's field.
The Set card that Sugihara Yo had taken control of slowly corroded under the venom spewed by the puppet lizard, dissipating into the air.
"Battle! El Shaddoll Anomalilith attacks Abyss Dweller!" Pamela commanded with a wave of her hand. The puppet in pink gauze suddenly opened its eyes, and a flurry of purple light swept toward Sugihara Yo's sole monster.
The sea dragon from the Abyss was consumed by the eerie purple rays.
Sugihara Yo LP: 4000 → 3000
"It's over! El Shaddoll Construct, attack him directly!"
Construct opened its eyes, and countless purple rays of light emerged from its back, converging on the solitary Sugihara Yo.
"At this moment, I activate the Trap Card, Shaddoll Squall! I target one 'Shaddoll' monster on my field, send one 'Shaddoll' card from my hand to the Graveyard, and the targeted monster's ATK and DEF increase by 1000! During the End Phase, it's changed to face-down Defense Position."
El Shaddoll Construct ATK: 2800 → 3800
Energy flowed from the Set card into Construct, transforming the attack into lethal damage.
"Counter Trap! I activate Declaration of the Deep Sea King! It negates and destroys a Trap Card activated by my opponent during the Battle Phase!"
At the critical moment, Sugihara Yo activated the last Set card in his backrow. A phantom of an old man wearing a crown, holding a trident, and seated upon a throne appeared behind him. He aimed the trident through the air, directly at the core behind Construct that was continuously feeding it energy.
The energy core suddenly exploded, and Construct's attack reverted to its original power just before landing on Sugihara Yo.

Sugihara Yo LP: 3000 → 200
"You managed to survive?" Pamela pouted, gritting her teeth.
Feeling as if countless arrows had pierced his heart, Sugihara Yo endured the intense pain and stumbled as he tried to stand.
"Oh, you still have the strength to stand?" Pamela revealed a cruel smile, licking her lips. "In that regard, you're just like that girl. Fine, I'll let you cling to life for one more turn. I end my turn."
Thump... thump... thump. A powerful heartbeat echoed across the battlefield, a sound that even drowned out the clamor of the fight.
Everyone present sought the source of this eerie sound, and finally, all eyes fixed on Sugihara Yo at the center of the battlefield.
"What's with the theatrics?" Across from Sugihara Yo, Pamela, who had been calm and composed a moment ago, became flustered. Her instincts as a duelist made her feel a chill down her spine, as if she were being hunted by some beast.
"Of course I'll stand up..." Sugihara Yo slowly raised his head, his blood-streaked face filled with determination as he roared, "As the last person from Square Academy, how could I possibly fall before I defeat you and avenge our Principal and everyone else!"
"My turn! I draw!" On Sugihara Yo's drawing hand, the crimson number 32 slowly appeared. The matching rings on his ring and pinky fingers glowed with a faint blue light.
"I activate the effect of the Continuous Spell, White Salvage!"
"I target one Fish monster in my Graveyard and add it to my hand. I'm adding Cutter Shark!"
"I summon Cutter Shark in Attack Position!"
"Cutter Shark's effect activates! I target one WATER monster on my field to Special Summon a Fish monster with the same Level but a different name from my Deck in Defense Position."
"Appear, Lantern Shark!"
"I activate the effect of Abyss Shark from my hand! Since all monsters I control are WATER monsters, I can Special Summon this card. Then, I can add one Level 3 to 5 Fish monster, other than another Abyss Shark, from my Deck to my hand. For the rest of this turn, I can only Special Summon WATER monsters, and the first time one of my 'Number' monsters inflicts battle damage to you from a battle with another monster, that damage is doubled."
"Abyss Shark can be treated as a Level 3 or 4 monster when used as material for the Xyz Summon of a 'Number' monster. Now, I overlay my three Level 4 monsters!"
Sugihara Yo growled and stretched out his right hand, summoning a galactic vortex before him. Within the vortex, the crimson number 32 lit up, and a faint dragon's roar echoed from within.
"Emperor of the deep sea who wields the greatest power! With those fangs, crush all creation! Xyz Summon! Descend, Number 32: Shark Drake!"
The dark red sea dragon spread its wings and emerged from the waves, its sharp fangs glinting with a cold light.

"Is that the best you can summon?" Pamela gritted her teeth, speaking defiantly.
Facing Pamela's taunt, Sugihara Yo silently extended his right hand once more. Beneath Shark Drake's feet, a black vortex reappeared, and the crimson number 32 on the back of his right hand began to flicker with his heartbeat.
"I overlay Number 32: Shark Drake!"
"Strongest fangs, awaken from the dark abyss! Chaos Xyz Change! Appear, CNo.32: Shark Drake Veiss!"
The aura of light and darkness carried Shark Drake into the galactic vortex where chaotic energy flowed. In less than a moment, it slowly descended in a completely new, pure white form, letting out an enraged roar at the enemy before it.
