# Chapter 58: D/D/D VS Predaplant
Yuzu and Yugo simultaneously looked toward the speaker. It was Yuri, who had just been teleported away by Serena's bracelet. As soon as he landed, having been inexplicably teleported, he saw the other objective of his mission.
"It's you! Where did you take Rin?!" Yugo glared at Yuri.
"He took your companion?" Hearing this, Yuzu looked at Yuri. "Are you from the Fusion Dimension?"
"I told you, it's Yugo! Not Fusion!" Yugo complained to Yuzu, looking back.
"It's been a while, and you're still as amusing as ever," Yuri chuckled lightly.
"You bastard! Give Rin back to me!" Yugo said, getting on the motorcycle beside him and activating the Duel Disk on its handlebars.
"You're as bothersome as ever," Yuri said, shaking his head helplessly, then revealed a cruel smile as he activated the Duel Disk on his arm.
But just then, Yuzu's bracelet glowed with a pink light.
"Is it happening again?" Yuzu, experienced with this, grit her teeth and grabbed Yugo beside her.
At this moment, Yuzu's bracelet thought:
"Ugh, why are Zarc's duplicates appearing in droves lately? I'm exhausted!"
"Just pick one and send them away."
"Huh, this purple-haired one was just teleported a few minutes ago? Can't teleport him again? Then let's just send this banana away."

The pink light subsided, and Yuzu and Yugo vanished from the spot.

"Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, attack Ancient Gear Hunting Hound!" Over Yuri's comms, a rampaging duelist who looked strikingly similar to him was irrationally commanding a red dragon to destroy everything around them. The Academy's elite troops, the Obelisk Force, were retreating under his fierce assault.
"Another person who looks like me? And that dragon..." Yuri took out his Starving Venom Fusion Dragon, glanced at it, and then smiled. "Interesting, very interesting. Hold on a bit, I'll be there soon."
"Where do you think you're going?" Just as Yuri was about to end the call and head to the battlefield in the Ancient Ruin Area to join the fray, a cold voice rang out.
Yuri looked in the direction of the voice, seeing a figure wearing a red scarf blocking his path.
The newcomer was none other than Reiji Akaba, who had detected the continuous dimensional teleportation waves, surmised what was happening, and rushed over.
"It seems the situation has changed. You all retreat for now," Yuri said, looking grimly at the newcomer and issuing a retreat order to the squad leader.
"You seem to be mistaken about something. Maiami City isn't a place you can just come and go as you please," Reiji Akaba said coldly.
"If you think you can stop me, then by all means, try," Yuri said with an elegant smile, standing ready for battle.
According to the intelligence, the man before him was the pinnacle of dueling in this dimension, not some random nobody to be casually dealt with.

"My turn!" Reiji Akaba took the first turn.
"I activate the Continuous Spell, Dark Contract with the Gate!"
"The effect of Dark Contract with the Gate allows me to add one 'D/D' monster from my Deck to my hand."
"I add D/D Swirl Slime to my hand."
"I activate the effect of D/D Swirl Slime from my hand!"
"By sending Fusion Material Monsters listed on a D/D/D Fusion Monster Card, including this card, from my hand to the Graveyard, I can Fusion Summon that Fusion Monster from my Extra Deck!"
"O mysterious, freely transforming vortex! Embrace the demon of hell! Now merge into one and give birth to a new king! Fusion Summon! Be born! Level 6! D/D/D Flame King Genghis!"
Two cards in Reiji Akaba's hand transformed into two streams of light, one green and one black, slowly merging before him. In moments, a demonic lord holding a sword and shield stepped out from the blazing fire.

"Appear! D/D Savant Kepler!"
"When D/D Savant Kepler is Normal or Special Summoned, I can add one 'Contract' card from my Deck to my hand."
"I add the Continuous Trap, Dark Contract with the Valkyrie, to my hand!"
"At the same time, I activate the effect of D/D/D Flame King Genghis!"
"While this card is in the Monster Zone, if another 'D/D' monster is Special Summoned to my field, I can target one 'D/D' monster in my Graveyard and Special Summon it."
"Revive! D/D Baphomet!"
"I activate the effect of D/D Baphomet! Once per turn, I can target one other 'D/D' monster on my field, declare a Level from 1 to 8, and that monster's Level becomes the declared Level until the end of the turn."
"I change D/D Savant Kepler's Level to 4!"

"I overlay my two Level 4 monsters!"
Reiji Akaba raised his hand, summoning a brilliant galaxy as the two monsters flew into it, one after the other.
"To rule over this entire world, descend now upon its apex! Xyz Summon! Be born! Rank 4! D/D/D Wave King Caesar!"
From amidst the surging waves, a Demon Monarch wielding a greatsword strode forth upon the surf.

"I activate the effect of D/D/D Wave King Caesar! By detaching one Xyz Material from this card, any monsters destroyed this turn are Special Summoned from my Graveyard at the end of the Battle Phase."
"However, you can't enter the Battle Phase on the first turn," Yuri reminded nonchalantly.
"I summon the Tuner monster, D/D Nighthowl, in Attack Position!"
"When D/D Nighthowl is successfully summoned, I can target one 'D/D' monster in my Graveyard, Special Summon it, but its Attack and Defense Points become 0."
"Revive! D/D Baphomet!"
"I tune the Level 4 D/D Baphomet with the Level 3 D/D Nighthowl!"
"Roar that cleaves the darkness! Wield the speed of the gale and become the new king's decree! Synchro Summon! Be born! Level 7! D/D/D Gale King Alexander!"
A fierce gale swept forth from the Synchro rings before Reiji Akaba, and the Storm Monarch, clutching a sharp blade, descended.

"I set two cards and end my turn." Reiji Akaba, standing behind the three Demon Monarchs, adjusted his glasses and ended his turn.
