Logically, if Rhode killed the Emerald Dragon in the past, then a few days ago they shouldn't have encountered the Dragon Soul of that Emerald Dragon in the Dragon Tomb.
Even if they did encounter it, it shouldn't have said it was the Black Dragon that killed it.
Or this memory should directly disappear, as if it never happened.
But nothing changed.
"I think maybe our time-space here has been completely disrupted by the Eclipse Gate, or these dragons are from other timelines of the past, not our past."
If that's the case, then it doesn't matter whether Atlas Frey stays or leaves.
Carefully searching in the Dragon Tomb might even find his remains?
"I think so too, so don't worry about it." Mebius said, "Oh right, the King said he wants to meet you alone later to discuss the follow-up handling and the report to the Council."
Rhode nodded: "Ah, still a lot of troublesome things."
Mira smiled: "Exhausted, right?"
"Yeah, I'm taking a break." Rhode gave an instruction to his six dragons to return.
Then his body went limp like a noodle into Mira's embrace, emitting a soft snore.
Mira hugged him, stroked his hair gently and said softly: "You've worked hard."
Mebius stared at Mira for a while, then gestured at her own chest, puffing her cheeks.
Asuka looked up innocently: "Ginanna sister, is Brother Rhode hungry?"
Ginanna blinked: "Hmm... perhaps?"
Asuka tapped her face twice with her finger: "Shame, Asuka stopped breastfeeding a long time ago."
"Ha, haha... Shall we play marbles?" Ginanna felt if Asuka continued talking, she might be killed by the Demon Couple, Gun Couple, or the First Generation President.
...
When Rhode woke up, it was already past ten in the morning.
He looked around, it seemed like the room in the hotel where Mira lived.
Mira was sleeping right next to him, seemed startled by his movements, quickly opened her eyes.
"Good morning." She looked still a bit drowsy, reaching her arms out towards Rhode, probably thinking they were at home.
Rhode suddenly had a mischievous thought, sitting at the bedside clutching the blanket like he was encountering a rogue: "You, you, what did you do to me last night?"
Mira seemed to wake up, immediately switched to playful mode, turned over, propped one hand against the wall, and lifted Rhode's chin with the other, smirking: "Want me to help you recall well?"
Rhode looked down, inside her loose pajamas' neckline, there was a flash of white.
He cupped Mira's face and kissed her hard, then got out of bed to wash up.
Regretted teasing his pregnant wife when interest came up but nothing could be done.
Mira laughed, seeing it wasn't too early, also went to wash up and change.
The couple headed to the dining room, many companions were already having breakfast.
Most had some bandages on, especially Natsu, Gajeel, and Laxus with more injuries.
Having fought dragons directly, they still got some wounds.
"Morning."
"Morning."
Everyone greeted each other; Lisana waved for the couple to come over: "These are for you, I'll go get more."
Lisana swiftly returned with a tray: "The hotel owner and staff still haven't returned, breakfast... uh, lunch? Anyway, it's prepared by the team of chefs from the Royal Palace, tastes amazing."
Rhode nodded: "Indeed, it's good."
Mira asked: "Where's Elfman?"
Lisana smiled: "Brother Elf and Ibarglin went for a morning exercise."
Rhode suddenly laughed.
The sisters curiously looked at him.
He explained: "I was thinking, when Elfman masters Rock Spirit Dragon's power, he won't be afraid of being turned into stone by Ibarglin during arguments - because he can transform himself."
Lisana rubbed her arms: "What a chilly joke."
Rhode sought confirmation from Mira: "Really that chilly?"
Mira nodded.
Rhode became happy: "Great, I'll share it with Sister Ocean next time, she surely will like it."
Lisana said: "That joke is funnier than the previous one."
Makarov came strolling by with a yawn, reminding: "Remember to go to the Royal Palace after eating."
Rhode sighed: "Shouldn't the President deal with such matters?"
Makarov perked up: "Then I appoint you as the President now!"
Rhode's face changed dramatically: "President, actually you're dreaming now, we'll talk when you wake up."
Makarov waved his hand: "Impossible, if it's a dream, you should be getting scolded in the Council's Judgement Court."
Rhode looked at him incredulously.
Makarov laughed awkwardly: "Ha, haha. What I meant is, with you here, we don't have to worry about such things happening, dreams are reversed..."
Rhode immediately said: "That's what you said!"
"Ah?"
Rhode said: "Dreams and reality are reverse, you said that."
Makarov nodded: "Yes."
Rhode slapped his palm: "So in dreams I became President, in reality, I can't become one."
"That's not what I meant!"
Mira and Lisana both laughed along.
Makarov was about to say something, but an iron tray flew to the back of his head with a crisp sound.
The clanging sounds behind were quite evident.
"Who did that!" Makarov threw the tray back.
Quick-thinking Gray grabbed Gajeel's arm and pulled him in front, the tray smacked onto Gajeel's face with a thud.
But Gajeel wasn't angry at all, just casually took it down, gnawing on it like a crunchy pancake.
Though it wasn't in the Guild, the dining room gradually became chaotic.
Fairy Tail began a new day.
"I'm off, remember to watch after Future Rogue." Rhode casually swatted away a flying goblet heading toward Mira, adding, "Or head back to the room to rest?"
Mira didn't mind: "It's fine."
Going back was too boring, staying together with everyone was much more fun.
Lisana also waved: "Don't worry, bro-in-law, I'm here."
...
"Firstly, please allow me to express our gratitude to you on behalf of Fiore Kingdom, otherwise, we could all become sinners of the Kingdom. Thank you, Mr. Rhode."
Rhode had just arrived at the Royal Palace's meeting room, and the King stood up first to bow to him.
The Princess, Minister of State, and Knight Captain also joined in bowing and thanking.
"No need to be so polite, the matter is over," Rhode said. "Our Fairy Tail has always been Fiore Kingdom's Mages' Guild, it's naturally our duty to protect this country."
In formal social occasions, one of Rhode's speaking principles: no matter how he truly feels, first help the Guild gain some favor.
After exchanging pleasantries, they sat down for more formal discussions.
"Firstly, regarding the handling of the Eclipse Gate," the King said, "Should this gate be destroyed?"
