Chapter 435 - Chapter 103: Commanding the Sea God

Mercer's decision to take action was known to no one except Agent Bryce, who was full of questions.

He wasn't planning to seek any support, nor did he need anyone to give him advice. The entire operation to annihilate the Voodoo Gang, in his view, was nothing more than an experimental plan to test his weaponry in combat.

It wasn't that Mercer was arrogant – it was just that the Spark Team's overall strength had indeed reached a point where they could practically crush ordinary gangs.

The usual enforcers of the Voodoo Gang, at most, only included 2-3 tough guys equipped with operating systems, with the majority armed with street junk.

As for the core strength of the Voodoo Gang, which were the hackers, they posed no threat to Mercer as well.

As long as the plan wasn't leaked in advance, and the Voodoo Gang didn't have time to set up an ambush, Mercer couldn't imagine how the gang would find a way out of his stealth attack.

He planned to take action directly and then notify Hua Tiao in Dog Town to bring people over. Mainly, he needed them to take over the scene, and afterward, they were supposed to move the Voodoo Gang's Sea God Server to Dog Town.

So, nearly that very night, Mercer picked one action plan from the several he had prepared, held a brief meeting to ensure everyone was clear on the details to pay attention to, and then left Dog Town at 3:30 a.m.

Their purpose was clear: to quietly infiltrate the Voodoo Gang's location under the cover of night and at 4 a.m., and initiate a covert slaughter.

When a modified Emperor Armored Vehicle and a van painted entirely black reached the Voodoo Gang's district, it was only 3:50 a.m.

In the van parked by the road, V and Rebecca, both clad in battle armor, watched Mercer check his Octopus Arm, hesitating to speak.

"If you ask me, there's no need for you to come personally, it's too risky. With Lucy, Qiwei, and Sasha, we don't need you to be on-site," V said, frowning.

Mercer sighed, lifted his head, and said, "I've been stuck at home every day for the past six months, and you nagged me daily to get out, now that I'm out, you're saying it's too dangerous..."

"I told you to exercise! Don't twist my words." V replied, annoyed.

Rebecca, confident, knocked on her chest with her enormous metal hand, making a metallic clang against the armor layer: "Just get Mercer to hide behind me when it's time."

"Uh, doesn't that mean I have to squat the whole time?"

Mercer's comment made Rebecca displeased as she donned her helmet, and the shoulder cannon popped out, drawing a circle at his lower body: "If I break your shins, shouldn't that solve the squatting?"

"In any case!" V clapped her hands together firmly: "At the right time, just stay back and provide technical support, don't interfere with our actions. The team has developed a good working rhythm, and adding you might just cause chaos."

Mercer chuckled, tapping V's helmet with his Octopus Arm: "I am the boss!"

"Doesn't matter." V's firm attitude made Mercer compromise: "Fine, I'll stay behind you guys and work as your hacker, will that do?"

"As long as you stick with Sasha, you're fine. We're a professional team now, operating by the book." V said, strapped a Samurai Sword on her back, holstered her pistol at her thigh, and then picked up a submachine gun.

Magazines and grenades were attached to her battle armor's straps, and V flexed a bit, her helmet's V-shaped visor glowing red.

"Ready, let's roll." She eagerly announced.

Rebecca also activated her helmet – she truly loved vibrant colors, and her once pure black battle armor was now painted in her 'Rebecca colors,' a mix of green and pink, with an anime-style ghost face drawn on the shoulder cannon.

Mercer lifted his Zhuo Shotgun, removed his jacket to reveal the heat dissipation parts of his body, and donned a black helmet.

The helmet had a design that resembled an alien head, with only cold black metal visible on the front, and numerous small holes for cameras, while the back was inclined upwards.

This helmet was an electronic enhancement helmet personally crafted by Mercer for himself.

The helmet's built-in signal booster allowed him to capture weak electronic signals more accurately, enhancing signal transmission and data transfer capabilities.

Theoretically, wearing the helmet significantly enhanced Mercer's range of electronic signal capture, automatically connected his Network Access Vault, and bolstered its ICE countermeasures, reducing electronic signal interference.

Moreover, multiple cameras provided him with a 360-degree view without blind spots, including integration of thermal imaging, night vision, professional electronic countermeasure units, flash protection, and stun blast resistance.

The nanometal coating also offered excellent shock absorption and bulletproof features.

It could be said that this small helmet alone cost an astonishing 270,000 Euros – initially developed as part of Mercer's personal armor.

But Mercer's high standards and daily brainstorming led to constant reworking, ultimately causing delays in the armor development, leaving just the helmet created to test various functions.
