Chapter 4 - The Hope

Every awakened student had this — a transparent display that showed all their attributes, skills, and talents if they possessed any. It presented each of them in detailed form, allowing the student to clearly understand what their skills or talents could do.

Kael exhaled slowly. Let's see…

He let the seal guide him, and a translucent, floating screen appeared in front of him. His class Summoner was there — along with something he never expected to see.

"What the…?" Kael exclaimed, his voice trembling as he closed the screen and then opened it again. The result didn't change.

An SSS-rank innate talent.

He blinked, then checked again. And again. The same result. Despite being an F-Rank Summoner… he had awakened a fucking SSS-Rank talent.

He leaned back on the bed, the absurdity of the situation feeling unreal.

[ Awakened: Kael Draven ]

[ Class: Summoner ]

[ Rank: F ]

[ Level : 1 ]

[ Power Realm: Rank 1 – Commoner ]

[ Talent: Infinite Respawn (SSS) ]

[ Skills: Summon, Bond, Summoner Space, Recall ]

[ Class Passive: ]

5% chance to instantly tame any summoned being

+5% increase to all stats of bonded beasts

Each tamed being increases summoner overall power by 5% ]

This… this shouldn't be possible.

Every class — Elemental, Abyssal, Ethereal, Temporal — followed the same rule: the higher the class rank, the stronger the innate talent, if a student awakened one at all. Yet somehow, he had shattered that logic.

He, an F-Rank Summoner, had awakened the highest possible tier — an SSS-Rank talent.

Kael's mind spun. Is this a dream?

It was so absurd he genuinely began wondering if he was asleep.

"But what kind of talent is this?" he murmured, focusing back on his soul status. He tapped the detailed description.

[ Talent: Infinite Respawn ]

Rank: SSS

Effect:

Each time the user dies, they respawn instantly with:

+10% to all stats

Gain any skill (90% chance) or talent (10% chance) of the killer, enhanced by 10×.

Total immunity to the damage type, that killed the user for the next one hour.

Limitations:

Only once per week.

* Stack upto three times if not used the Respawn chance each week.]

"This… this is an SSS-Rank talent?" Kael whispered, eyes widening as if they might pop out of his skull.

He sank back against the bed, heart racing. "This… this is absurd," he muttered, his voice trembling. "It's like… god-level power… how is this even a talent?"

The words barely left his lips before he shook his head. He didn't even know where to start — how could one even call this a talent, its basically a god like power!

He stared at the back of his hand, the Summoner Seal glowing faintly under the dim light, pulsing like it was alive.

I… That lady was right, I am really powerful not a waste…

A shiver ran down his spine — excitement, confidence all at once. The F rank, no longer made him afraid.

"with this talent, I can be a Summoner, a powerful one, not just a weak one" He smiled, others are afraid of their own summon, thinking it might kill them, but he actually want this, he now want to be killed so that his talent can activate and make him more powerful.

His fists clenched. Despite the trash class he awakened, he now can easily rose to top. he closed his eyes, as he remeberd the faces of all of them, who called him friend, love, yet when the time came, all their mask were torn revealing the truth under it.

They all looked down on me. They laughed at me. They thought I was nothing...

There was no more despair, just anger now, anger by the betrayal of all of them. He promised, if they awaken a trash class he will help them as much as he can, yet when it was their turn they backstabbed him.

Just wait… all of you.

He exhaled slowly, letting the anger shimmer away, "forget it, its not worth it" he shook his head, it was the way of the world, he is not going to fight them but if given the choice to save an murderer or them in futue, he ain't saving anyone, All of them can die.

"Right now… I'm at the Level 1: Commoner," Kael muttered, looking at the soul status of his.

In this World, power is measured in levels with each hundred level denoted by a rank. Each awakaned at Commoner, then could rise to Knight, then Lord, and eventually even higher ranks — though the upper Ranks are rare and often beyond the reach of most awakened students.

Even as a Level 1 Commoner, he realized he was already twice as strong as a normal adult human. That was simply the natural advantage granted to anyone who have awakened, even one as supposedly weak as an F-Rank Summoner.

" Now, what skills I have " Kael looked at the detailed description of his class skills.

[ Skills:

1. Summon : Allows the summoning of monsters based on medium used and one's mana level.

- Summoned beast may or may not be loyal to the summoner.

2. Bond: Allows the summoner to bond with the summons or any monster who is willing or subdued and store them in the Summoner space.

– Bonded Beasts: None

3. Summoner Space: Each bonded monster can be placed in this spiritual space, here recovery of the bonded increases by 100%.

– Available Slots: 3

4. Recall: Allows the summoner to use one skill from each bonded monster.

– Bond Skill Recall: None ]

"All the standard skills of a Summoner…" Kael mumbled, then shook his head. "Summoner can be a pretty overpowered class — if not for the restrictions."

He sighed.

"A Summoner can theoretically have a limitless army of summons. That part is true. The problem is…" He sighed again. "You have to subdue every beast yourself before you can bond with it."

That was the crippling drawback.

To bond with a creature, a Summoner had to defeat it alone — without the help of any anyone not even the existing summons.

"And a Summoner who doesn't awaken any offensive skills…" Kael muttered bitterly, "…is basically throwing themselves into a death match with monsters using nothing but their bare hands."

"That's why Summoners are considered the weakest class," Kael whispered, staring at his hand. "The class's potential is insane — but the requirements to grow are suicidal."
