Chapter 957 - Chapter 502: Garchomp Shocks the Crowd! An Ancient Digital Camera?

With a single strike of X-Scissor, even Garchomp's steps weren't shaken, let alone did it take any damage.

The growl of the surrounding Kricketune also abruptly stopped.

The formerly cacophonous Deertrack Heights fell silent at that moment.

Mai stood in a daze, her eyes fixed intently on Garchomp.

My goodness! What on earth is this creature!

That was the Boss Kricketune! And it used the tremendously powerful X-Scissor!

No matter how powerful Garchomp is, it shouldn't be able to face that move head-on without any reaction!

This Garchomp's power is truly beyond belief!

Mai had seen Garchomp living in the Hisui Region before.

She knew very well that Garchomp itself is an extremely formidable Pokemon.

In the Hisui Region, there are almost no natural enemies for an adult Garchomp.

But no matter how mighty a Garchomp is, it should not be able to ignore an attack from a Boss Pokemon like this!

Even if the captain of the Diamond Clan came personally, they wouldn't dare claim they could do this!

Was this Garchomp just too powerful... or... Mai's gaze silently shifted to Cynthia.

There was no longer a hint of a smile on Cynthia's face.

Her golden eyes focused on the Boss Kricketune ahead, emanating an imposing aura that was hard to approach.

Mai subconsciously gulped.

Previously, when she was with Ash, Cynthia seemed gentle and kind.

She would even look embarrassed over some matters.

But once on the battlefield, her demeanor had changed drastically.

The current Cynthia had none of the neighborhood sisterly charm.

The cold expression she had would likely make a baby cry on the spot!

The Boss Kricketune also seemed to sense the huge gap between them.

It shook its arms, which had gone numb, and its body uncontrollably stepped back.

Garchomp lowered its head, glancing at the spot that was hit by the X-Scissor.

Not even a white mark was left there.

It lifted its head, its gaze once more fixed on the Boss Kricketune.

"Roar?"

Garchomp let out a puzzled low growl—was that all?

Cynthia slowly raised her arm, her golden hair floating without wind: "Garchomp, it's our turn now."

As the Boss Kricketune launched its attack, the Kricketune Clan also began to move.

Crimson figures dashed out from various spots on the hillside.

The dense footsteps trampled the ground, bending large patches of grass, and the piercing bug buzz resounded once more.

Dozens of Kricketune swung their scythe-like arms, encircling Cynthia's group from all directions.

Mai's face changed dramatically; indeed, Garchomp took on the X-Scissor unharmed.

However, no matter how powerful a Pokemon is, it's challenging to protect the Trainer when surrounded by an entire clan's assault.

Such a number of Kricketune launching an attack together could overwhelm someone by just sealing off all directions.

Mai could no longer stand still.

She quickly placed the Munchlax she was holding onto the ground, pointing ahead.

"Ash, you see the situation now, don't you?"

"Do you still think your sister can handle this alone?"

"There's still time to join in!"

"Quickly get your other Pokemon out!"

Ash shrugged: "I don't have any other Pokemon with me right now, only Pikachu."

Mai almost thought she heard wrong: "Just one? Well, Pikachu will do! Get ready for battle! Munchlax, let's go help too!"

"Snorlax!"

Munchlax had just recovered some physical strength.

Hearing Mai's command, it still mustered the courage to charge out.

But it had only run a few steps when Cynthia's voice came from the front.

"Garchomp."

"Dragon Rush."

"Gaba!!"

Garchomp raised its head, letting out a deafening roar.

Deep blue Dragon-type energy rose from its feet, covering its legs all the way to its chest and arms, and finally condensed outside of Garchomp into a monstrous dragon head.

The dragon head's mouth gaped open, rows of energy fangs clearly visible, an overwhelming presence exploded from Garchomp.

"Boom!"

The Boss Kricketune, still in its X-Scissor stance, bore the brunt of the attack, and the green light covering its arms instantly shattered.

Its massive body was flung backward, smashing through two small trees and finally crashing into the mountainside.

Large chunks of rock tumbled down from the mountainside, and the Boss Kricketune's head lolled to the side, losing consciousness on the spot.

Garchomp remained standing in place, not actually executing the Dragon Rush.

Merely the dragon's might released during the move overwhelmed the entire Kricketune Clan.

The Kricketune, eyes still glowing red, had been charging fiercely.

But now they felt their bodies plummet, and the lead Kricketune even had their legs give out, collapsing directly to the ground.

The Kricketune in the back also stopped their advance.

The glow from their arms rapidly faded, and their bodies began to tremble uncontrollably.

The entire clan stared at the dragon head surrounding Garchomp, their ferocity subdued by fear.

Not a single Kricketune dared to advance further.

This overwhelming presence... it spells death for any who advances! The fear of death even smothered their wild intentions!

The freshly charged-with-courage Munchlax stopped in its tracks as well.

It stiffly lifted its head, glancing at Garchomp, then slowly turned to look at Mai.
