Chapter 941 - Chapter 494: Diamond Clan, Pearl Clan, The Massive Rift on Mount Coronet! (Part 2)

"Mainly because the Pokeball developed by Team Galactic is seen by the Pearl Clan as a tool to bind Pokemon."

"This point makes it difficult for the Pearl Clan, who have always believed in peacefully coexisting with Pokemon, to accept."

Upon hearing this, Ash felt slightly moved.

He hadn't expected such a tool as the Pokeball to be considered a device for binding Pokemon.

But thinking it over, the Pearl Clan's view isn't entirely incorrect; after all, Pokemon are indeed confined inside Pokeballs.

Even in the modern Pokemon Realm, there are few instances where Pokemon are kept outside Pokeballs.

Even if the interior of a Pokeball has different living environments, Pokemon prefer to breathe the free air outside.

Pikachu is a prime example of this.

However... Pokeballs are also an indispensable part of human and Pokemon coexistence. This is simply a matter of pros and cons.

Without Pokeballs, perhaps even a millennium later, humans and Pokemon would still maintain adversarial relations.

On the side, Cynthia was slowly recalling the records in ancient texts about these two clans during Professor Laventon's explanation.

The Diamond Clan and Pearl Clan.

In an ancient tome about the Hisui Region, these two clans were only briefly mentioned.

One of them seemingly worships the God of Time, Dialga.

The other worships the God of Space, Palkia.

However, more detailed information about them is absent in the ancient texts.

But one thing is certain.

The relationship between these two clans, with different beliefs, was far from harmonious.

After all, worshiping time and worshiping space are two fundamentally different directions.

And yet, despite their opposing beliefs, both clans were willing to serve under Team Galactic.

In this era, Team Galactic's prestige in the land of Hisui is truly intimidating!

As the three chatted, a massive gateway appeared ahead.

"Here we are, this is our village!"

Professor Laventon pointed to the gateway ahead, his tone full of pride.

The gateway marks the village entrance, and a guard stands at its entrance.

"Greetings, Professor Laventon."

The guard respectfully saluted upon seeing Professor Laventon, then turned his gaze to Ash and Cynthia behind him.

"Who are these two?"

"Oh, they are two travelers I met outside." Professor Laventon explained, "I'm taking them to meet Leader Cyllene."

"I see, please kindly register, both of you."

As he spoke, the guard took out a booklet, made a quick record for Ash and Cynthia, and courteously allowed them to pass.

Upon entering the village, a bustling scene unfolded before their eyes.

The streets are lined with orderly houses, villagers come and go, most wearing expressions of comfort and satisfaction.

Compared to the desolate and barren land of Hisui outside, this place is practically a different world altogether.

"Look, this prosperous village is all thanks to Team Galactic!"

Professor Laventon's face beamed with pride.

"Since Team Galactic arrived in this land two years ago, they've established this village, providing numerous homeless people a stable haven."

"Moreover, they are dedicated to researching and understanding Pokemon."

"Boss Kamado believes that only by first understanding Pokemon's habits can humans better live in peace with Pokemon."

Ash and Cynthia exchanged a glance.

This Team Galactic was worlds apart from the one they knew.

Why this helpful, noble-hearted organization would later devolve into greed and madness remained a mystery.

Under Professor Laventon's guidance, they arrived in front of a tall building.

That building stood out in the village, marking it clearly as the village center.

"This village is only a little over two years old." Professor Laventon narrated as he walked.

"Being able to establish such solid roots in the Hisui Region in just two years, while inventing the Pokeball, Team Galactic truly is formidable!"

He stopped at the building entrance, revealing a slight apologetic smile.

"Due to your unclear origins, letting you inside at this moment is not possible. My apologies; please wait a moment while I inform Leader Cyllene."

He perked up with a confident smile once more.

"Rest assured, given your ability to get along with Pokemon, I'm sure the leader won't reject you staying in Jubilife Village!"

With that, Professor Laventon quickly dashed inside the grand building.

Leaving Ash and Cynthia behind, facing each other.

"This place really is bizarre," Ash murmured softly, "being wary of unknown people is natural, but trusting someone based on their ability to commune with Pokemon… What sort of logic is this?"

Cynthia chuckled lightly, though her eyes reflected some seriousness.

"I fear the upcoming ordeal won't be as smooth as we imagine."

She spoke slowly.

"To be a leader managing Jubilife Village so adeptly, they surely aren't as naive as Professor Laventon."

"Thus, we might need to showcase a bit of true strength to earn their trust."

Despite their pleasant conversations with Professor Laventon.

The enthusiastic professor even promised that in Jubilife Village, they'd find great use, with lodging carefully arranged.

But Cynthia never believed in miracles falling from the sky.

Compared to Ash, she had ventured longer in the outside world, securing the Champion title not solely on strength.

Human connections, deceit, these are indispensable elements.

Heeding Professor Laventon blindly, listening but half-believing was more than enough.

She glanced at Ash beside her, discovering him casually playing with the Cyndaquil at his feet.

Evidently, Ash had taken Professor Laventon's words completely to heart.

Cynthia helplessly rubbed her forehead, it seemed Ash hadn't taken her words to heart at all…

"Ash, when meeting the leader later, be sure to stay sharp." Cynthia couldn't help but remind.

Ash lifted his head, unconcerned: "Don't worry Cynthia... Sister."

He quickly corrected himself, nearly addressing her wrong.

"We aren't here for trouble, that leader shouldn't make things difficult for us, right?"

"Besides, didn't you say showing a bit of true power would earn their trust? If that's the case, then showcasing it should suffice, right Pikachu?"

"Pika Pika~"

Pikachu nodded and continued playing with Rowlet beside him.

Even though their other partners weren't here, not even Mewtwo who had gone missing, their combined strength as a duo could sweep Jubilife Village effortlessly.

This is a confidence born of true strength.

Watching Ash and Pikachu's fearless demeanor, Cynthia felt a mix of amusement and helplessness.

After all, with Ash's unfathomable power, regardless of upcoming challenges, they wouldn't cause much trouble.

Though her Garchomp wasn't here either, with Ash around, absolute strength was guaranteed.

This kid was practically comparable to a humanoid Legendary Beast; hopefully, Leader Cyllene wouldn't do anything reckless.

Sometimes,

Strength isn't the best solution, but it's an essential part of solving problems.

"Speaking of which, Sister Cynthia, what's that thing in the sky?" Ash pointed to the distant sky, asking.

Cynthia looked to the distant sky, where a towering peak soared skyward, unchanged even over a thousand years,

That was Mount Coronet's peak!

The focus was the massive shadow on the peak's sky!

The shadow was riddled with web-like cracks,

Even from tens of thousands of miles from Mount Coronet,

observing the fragmented-sky-like fissure, one could still feel a heavy, suffocating ambiance.

Since arriving in this world, Ash had already noticed the enormous fissure, and Cynthia had too.

But...

"Even you don't know what it is, so how could I?~"

Cynthia shrugged slightly, sounding slightly helpless; she was an archaeologist, not a native of Hisui.

Such matters are best directed to Hisui natives for answers!
