The time was fast spent and Ariana noticed it was almost 5pm. But she was still on a ride with her brother.
She patiently waited for it to be over and then informed David she needed to see someone.
"David, the park would close soon and I also have a meeting to attend and its almost time for it". She noticed his mood immediately dropped.
"Don't worry you'd come along with me but promise me you'd be a good boy while we're there?" She raised her pinky finger.
"I promise" David answered as he locked his pinky finger with hers. At least she wasn't leaving him and that was what matttered to him.
They left the amusement park and headed straight for the Sarontelli. Ariana was slightly worried she was going to a place that exquisite with a stained dress.
Earlier David had got ice cream on his fingers and accidentally used it to touch her. Usually she wouldn't mind it but the Sarontelli was so posh she felt bad she'd walk in there with a stain.
The drive from the park to the place was a bit long and she couldn't stop by a mall to get a different dress because she'd arrive at the Sarontelli late and she didn't want to keep Azaiah waiting; she was sure he was already there.
Finally arriving, she parked at the parking space and turned to David who was at the back seat. "Remember you promised to be a good boy. So stay close to me while we're in there okay?".
David nodded and his eyes drifted to the large building. "Its so big...we won't get lost in here right?" David asked with genuine concern evident in his eyes.
"No sweetie we won't get lost. As long as you're always with me" Ariana answered.
She heard her phone chime and she immediately grabbed it.
It was Azaiah who had sent her a text.
"You just arrived right?" She read his text and quickly looked around to know how he had seen her.
She eventually caught sight of him, standing in front of a car she guessed was his.
She then got out of her car and opened the door for David who held her hand firmly.
Azaiah who was parked on the opposite side, stared at Ariana in disbelief. She actually brought a little child to what was meant to be just for the both of them.
She walked across and was now standing in front of him "Good evening. I know I was a bit late and I also know I hadn't informed you I was coming with my little brother but please just let it slide okay?" She said to Azaiah.
Hearing her say the little boy was her younger brother reduced the distaste that had been in his heart before.
"David say hi to uncle Azaiah" Ariana turned to the little boy who was hiding behind her.
He took a peek at the man from her back before fully coming to the man's view. "Good evening sir. My name is David, nice to meet you" David stretched his little hand for a shake.
Azaiah was surprised the little boy had offered a shake but it warmed his heart. He carefully took David's hand for a soft and gentle shake.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Azaiah" he said and David immediately smiled.
"That's a nice name" David said, taking the two adults by surprise.
"Uncle Azaiah" David said once more, enjoying the sound of the name.
"Thank you" Azaiah said and Ariana began to wonder where Azaiah had kept his kind side the entire time. He rarely showed that side of him.
"Shall we?" Ariana asked and Azaiah quickly interjected "Not yet. You need to change".
Ariana looked down at her dress and the stain was so obvious, that was probably why he said that.
"I couldn't stop by a mall because I wanted to get here early. Just try to ignore it" Ariana explained.
"Follow me" Azaiah said before pressing a button on the car key in his hand which suddenly locked the car and Ariana realized that he probably just arrived the Sarontelli also.
Azaiah walked at the front and Ariana and David tried to keep up. He wasn't walking fast but his long legs had him take longer strides than them and little David's short legs couldn't keep up so Ariana had to walk with David's pace also.
They reached a mini mall behind the large building and Ariana was surprised it was even there. Taking a look from the road side, one wouldn't know the place was this big on the inside.
The automatic doors slid open and they all walked in.
One of the workers there approached the trio and asked "What do you plan on getting? I'd show you the best of best" the lady said and Azaiah glanced at Ariana before saying "She needs a really nice dress and also, if there's something for the little one...Please don't hesitate".
David was still wearing his clothes from school and Ariana found it sweet that Azaiah cared about how the boy looked too.
"Wonderful. Come with me" the lady said as she led them to the clothes section.
As they walked together, Ariana found herself taking glances at Azaiah more than she wanted.
He was clad in green sleeved shirt and a black trouser. He had left some buttons of the shirt open, revealing his caramel skin beneath.
As usual his dark hair was in a bun and it made Ariana wonder how long his hair actually was.
David tugged gently at her arm and gestured her to bend down as he had something to say to her. Ariana understood his gesture and bent down for David to whisper in her ear.
"Do you like uncle Azaiah? You've been looking at him" David said and Ariana quickly denied it.
"No I don't. I wasn't looking at him, I was just looking around" she said in a low tone and David chuckled at her sudden nervousness at his question.
Ariana was only admiring the man but she didn't know her little brother had noticed and decided to tease her.
