Chapter 47 - Chapter 47: Jurassic Park III Premiere

June 21, Los Angeles.

"The Fast and the Furious" and "Jurassic Park III" were set to premiere at midnight today.

The two films had already held their premieres earlier that day.

Although the two films were being promoted together, they didn't even have to hold their premieres together.

At the premiere of "The Fast and the Furious," Lin Yuan originally thought he could have an easy time.

After all, the role he played was not important and could only be considered a small role with one highlight segment.

So he should have had it very easy, hiding behind Director Cohen, Paul Walker, and Vin Diesel and just going through the motions—the important thing was to participate.

But he forgot that he was the link between the two films' joint promotions, and several promotional videos used him and his wonderful action scenes as selling points.

Therefore, Director Cohen directly pulled him from the back row to the front row, fully utilizing him and squeezing every bit of value from him. How could he possibly give him the opportunity to slack off?

Who made him more famous than the leading actors Paul Walker and Vin Diesel because of the popularity of "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and those promotional videos?

After finally finishing this event, he immediately rushed to attend the premiere of "Jurassic Park III."

As the leading actor, he had to take on more responsibilities.

The premiere of "Jurassic Park III" was also very successful. The invited guests and various media actively helped to promote the film, which was a good start.

Lin Yuan didn't like this kind of occasion very much, but he had to cooperate and went through the whole process.

By the time it was all over, his face looked a little stiff from the long ritual smile.

It was already afternoon when the show finally ended. Lin Yuan said goodbye to the crew members somewhat tiredly and went home to take a nap.

When he woke up again, it was already past nine o'clock in the evening.

He drove alone to an ordinary small cinema in the city, bought a ticket for the midnight premiere of "Jurassic Park III," and went in to watch it.

To get the most authentic movie-watching experience from the audience, it's best to observe them directly up close.

The movie was about to start. Lin Yuan walked into the dark screening room, groped his way to the corner of the last row, and sat down.

This position was best for observing the reactions of the entire audience.

There were walls to the right and behind his seat, and a white man and woman in their twenties sat on his left.

Lin Yuan guessed that their relationship was probably in the ambiguous stage and they were not yet a formal couple.

He understood why the man bought the last row ticket. Flirtatious men and women all liked to do this, regardless of nationality.

In the darkness, the man mustered up his courage and extended his right hand to the small hand of his female companion. Suddenly, the movie screen lit up.

The sudden appearance of light startled him.

"Damn it! At this time," the man cursed softly.

"The movie has started! I'm so looking forward to it!" The woman looked at her male companion with a smile.

"If I hadn't come to see this movie with her, I wouldn't have wanted to come. I hope this movie is scary," the man muttered in a very low voice.

Lin Yuan listened to this and recalled the conversation he had with Liu Yifei before:

Boys like to take girls to see horror movies, thinking they are hunters.

Little did they know that girls who are willing to watch horror movies with boys are the real hunters disguised as prey.

There should be drama between them.

At this point, the movie officially began.

The first scene in the picture showed a white speedboat cutting through the waves in the blue sea.

The speedboat was sailing at high speed, dragging a thick rope and carrying the paraglider in the air into the distance, just like a kite in the hands of a running little boy.

The camera moved up to reveal a handsome young man on a paraglider, gazing into the distance with surprise: "That's the famous Isla Sorna. I hope to see the legendary dinosaurs."

The close-up was on the boy's face, which was a handsome oriental face, young and full of heroic spirit.

"It's Lin Yuan! He's so handsome. I came to see this movie just because of him," the white woman next to him said softly.

"I don't see what's so handsome about him. He's not manly," the white man muttered in dissatisfaction when he saw his female companion praising another man.

"What did you say?"

"I said this is the protagonist? Why use a Chinese person as the lead actor?"

Lin Yuan, who was sitting nearby, heard everything the two were saying.

Sure enough, many people's first reaction after seeing this movie was why a Chinese face was the protagonist?

This did not mean that everyone discriminated against Chinese people. If a movie was made in China and the protagonist was Black or white, everyone's first reaction would be that they were not used to it.

This was human nature.

"What's wrong with a Chinese being the protagonist? Lin Yuan is great!" the white woman continued.

"Really? Then I'm looking forward to seeing his wonderful performance." The man's answer seemed indifferent.

On the movie screen, Lin Yuan, who was on a paraglider in the air, was looking into the distance.

Following his perspective, a huge green island appeared in the distance. The island was covered with lush vegetation, and there were many small black dots flying in the sky. It was unclear whether they were big birds or some other creatures.

That was Lin Yuan's destination: Isla Sorna.

Continuing from the plot of the previous two movies, this was the island where dinosaurs lived. It had now been listed as a nature reserve, and humans were prohibited from landing on the island.

But there were always curious humans who used Lin Yuan's high-altitude gliding method to get a glimpse of the true appearance of dinosaurs.

"Come closer, I can't see clearly from this position." Lin Yuan took out a telescope and said as he looked.

But at this moment, an unknown creature suddenly jumped out of the water and swallowed the speedboat driver into its stomach in one bite.

The speedboat, having lost its driver, began to rush forward recklessly, and Lin Yuan in the air was thrown everywhere.

Finally, the taut rope could no longer bear the weight and broke in the middle.

The paraglider carried him into the dense jungle of Isla Sorna and hung on the top of a big tree.

Lin Yuan, hanging on the rope, was swinging violently in the air, and the paraglider was about to be pulled off and fall down.

As an extreme sports expert, Lin Yuan did not panic. He calmly took out the knife from his waist and cut the ropes behind him.

As the last rope was cut, he fell down, reached out to grab a thick branch, and then swung forward cleanly.

His movements were as light and graceful as those of an elf living in the trees.

After several jumps, Lin Yuan landed safely on the ground. Then he looked around vigilantly and slipped into a bush.

Seeing this scene, the woman next to Lin Yuan said, "He filmed all these stunts himself. Isn't it cool?"

The man was stunned for a moment and replied: "I do have some skills, and I'm not a gigolo, but that's nothing."

"Then look back; there are some places that will surprise you," the woman whispered.
