Chapter 414 - Chapter 382: Clash of Plans

Su Ming was contemplating whether to send Diana to Heaven or Hell to lay low for a while.

Albella should be able to manage it; she's not only familiar with Lucifer but can also connect with several High-Tier Angels.

At least she considers Gabriel and Raphael acquaintances, often present when they trouble Lucifer.

Diana's character is impeccable, definitely meeting the Heaven standard; besides, she's not actually dead and needing backdoor entry to Heaven. She's just spending a short period there until Su Ming and the team resolve the issue.

Currently, Hecate has split her power into five portions, and whenever she finds one part, her power increases.

The rest are unknown, but Diana is certain to be one of them, so this part should be properly safeguarded.

Hecate wants to reclaim her power likely to deal with the Inverted Man. Everyone can discuss it; what magic cannot accomplish doesn't mean the Justice League can't do either.

If she retrieves all her power, she will dictate all the magic in the world alone, and Batman would not allow such a dictator to exist.

"Diana, how about I find a safe place for you to vacation for a few days?"

Su Ming spoke to her, and if she refused, which was quite likely, Su Ming would knock her out first and send her to Hell through the Dream Country.

Although Lucifer is absent, he left the Power of Heaven to Maggie Ken, and the existence of Hell is part of God's elder plan.

As long as Hecate doesn't want to provoke God, there's nothing she can do about Hell.

"No, Amazons won't back down."

Diana unsurprisingly refused Su Ming's proposal, and he began considering whether to turn the Godslayer into a hammer or a frying pan.

"Currently, Hecate hasn't gathered any power, and the Inverted Man is momentarily sealed. If I activate the power within, could it attract Hecate? Moreover, as my power is stronger than hers, I hold the upper hand, right?"

Circe stroked her chin: "Interesting idea... I find it feasible, and indeed, I have some way to activate the power Hecate left in you."

"Are you sure you want to do this, Diana? It's extremely dangerous, and the Justice League still needs you now."

Bo Bo tried to dissuade her, while Albella just watched the show.

"The affairs of the Magic Realm must be solved first; then we can address the Earth's current crisis. Without magic, it's difficult to hide major events." Diana sighed, determined: "Some things mustn't be known to ordinary people. Once widespread panic erupts, our society would collapse on its own without a doomsday."

Su Ming knew she meant the memory-modifying magic, in which Zatanna was skilled, having altered Batman and the entire Justice League's memories, only for the keen Batman to discover afterwards.

This time the Totality's descent relied entirely on Invisibility Magic to remain hidden, or else journalists or onlookers would have occupied the place long ago.

While Diana decided to take a leap, and Gorilla advised cautious action, Circe received a magical transmission, and moments later, even Albella did too.

Nanda Pabat was under attack, a woman glowing with purple light storming the temple there.

Albella showed little reaction, as if reading some dull news on her phone, dismissing the magical text from the air after reading, while Circe's expression grew more solemn.

"It's another Witch's Hour holder controlled by Hecate. She's now attempting to destroy Nanda Pabat, one of the three pillars of the Magic World."

"Why would Hecate destroy the three pillars?" Diana immediately stood up, adjusting her gear, signaled Circe to act quickly and activate the power within her regardless of the circumstances.

"Because these three pillars are actually for the Gods. In reality, they were established as the Magic Array Centers to prevent Hecate from retaliating against them." Circe promptly replied.

Bo Bo and Diana immediately turned to Su Ming and Albella; these two blew up the Destiny Mage's Mage Tower, which meant if Nanda Pabat was compromised, only the last one would remain.

If Hecate indeed retaliated against all the Gods, the world would be in turmoil; the aftermath of the battle would suffice to destroy the world.

Nanda Pabat, though sounding similar to the Assassin Alliance's Nandabalt, is actually two distinct places, one south and one north.

The Assassin Alliance headquarters lies within the Arctic Circle, while Nanda Pabat is in Pakistan, regarded by ordinary people based on its mythological name.

Shangri-La.

There, a Great Group of 'Dead' like Brand resides, all Soul Bodies temporarily dwelling in some monks' bodies.

Shangri-La is where time halts, serving their God, Rama Kushna.

According to Su Ming's information, it's uncertain what level Rama Kushna is at, as she often appears as a big face composed of brilliance, making it impossible to discern her nature.

Most times, she's just a voice directing Brand the 'Dead' on what to do or tasks to fulfill.

Of course, as time stands still there, it became an important Magic Node, housing myriad valuable magical documents and items.

Su Ming was completely immune to the gaze from Diana and the others, knowing it was Naboo who let the Inverted Man inside; he was the one with the conspiracy.

Even if the Mage Tower still existed, it would still be utterly useless.

"Where's the other pillar?" He inquired Circe.

Before Circe responded, Diana, who didn't understand magic, told him the answer first: "Olympus, it's the final one."

The triangular shape does appear to be the most stable form, but if three pillars are used to support the Magic Realm, now it seems insufficient....

If there were seventy or eighty pillars, it would take Hecate quite some time to dismantle all these defensive Magic Array Centers, right?

Circe chuckled and nodded: "The leader intending to seize Hecate's power later changed his name to Zeus; he likely can't sleep well without the most crucial thing under his nose."

Circe, being a daughter of Titan, has always been indifferent towards Olympus.

"Forget old tales, Circe, activate the power within me." Diana signaled Circe to act; if they hurried over, Shangri-La might still be saved.

"But someone's already been manipulated by Hecate, implying she's regained at least one portion of power. You're now no longer a match for her; are you still sure you want to go?" Circe switched to dissuading her, hesitating to cast the magic.

"Absolutely, preserving the world's existence, that's the Justice League's duty, hurry!"

Diana urged the Witch, and Circe clicked her tongue, raising her arm.

"Wait, Diana." Su Ming stood up, circled around the dining table: "There's too much uncertainty; I support your decision and will accompany you, but I worry you might cease to be you."

Diana smiled: "That's the least of your worries; Amazons are eternally Amazons, even after death."

Su Ming sighed, flashing a smile: "Alright, can we have a hug? I fear we won't have time for farewells soon."

The atmosphere turned very melancholy, yet somewhat ambiguous.

"Uh... well... I mean, of course, we can." Diana seemed shy, and Circe's gaze showed an intrigued expression.

However, Diana secretly glared at her, then boldly embraced Su Ming tightly.

Su Ming smiled, hugging the tense Diana, caressing her long hair... then suddenly the Godslayer appeared in hand, and a bright golden frying pan struck her hard on the back of the head.

"Duang!!!"

With a loud bang, Diana slumped into his arms.
