Chapter 369 - Chapter 337: Arch-Enemy

"Grud?"

Barry looked in surprise at the figure emerging from the door, no, at the gorilla, his face showing an expression of astonishment. He never expected to see his arch-enemy so deep underwater.

Su Ming also paused his work of chopping stuffing, gazing at the gorilla now brimming with smugness. The gorilla's expression was remarkably human-like, quite intriguing.

Grud was originally a member of a group of ordinary black apes, residing on a place called Chimpanzee Island.

However, one day a meteor suddenly fell from the sky, landing on Chimpanzee Island and granting the apes intelligence comparable to humans.

Grud awakened with a genius-level brain and mastered the Mind Control Ability.

He killed his father to become king, building a human-like city on the island named Gorilla City, even more advanced in technology than humans.

The gorilla dreamed of unifying Earth, so he led his forces to stir up trouble in the Human World. He didn't know if it was because he liked it or what, but he chose Midtown as his first target.

Then he was thoroughly beaten up by The Flash and the Rascal Gang, locked in prison, and his life became a cycle of jailbreaks and captures, perpetually engaged with Barry.

At this moment, the gorilla was wearing armor with a sci-fi style, unlike his usual double lightning uniform. In front of his thick armor, a baby was fixed in a metal frame.

Sea King immediately spat: "Only cowards use babies as hostages."

The gorilla's eyes reflected bright light, indicating his Mind Control Ability was at full power. He mockingly taunted: "Do you think this is an ordinary baby? Then come and give it a try."

Suddenly, a brilliant green light erupted from the center of Su Ming and his group, resembling Green Lantern Energy. Yet they seemed to be trapped in a bubble.

"Static Force." Su Ming felt completely immobilized, able to exert strength yet the space and time around him were sealed.

"Is this baby a Turtle Person?" Barry accelerated with Divine Speed, the only one among them who could still move, but his charge towards Grud was slower than his usual walking pace.

This sensation was all too familiar, although now thousands of times stronger than before.

"Correct, Barry Allen. Don't want to greet your old friend?" Grud revealed the baby's identity: "He's been researching you the whole time. Whenever you use Divine Speed, the Static Force outside the Origin Wall becomes more prominent, but his research into Static Force aged him. This is already his fourth rebirth."

Utilizing the power of the Divine Speed Plane, revival was indeed possible. It wasn't unheard of, yet Barry never imagined Static Force had a similar effect.

However, the rebirth through Static Force is more akin to what Easterners call reincarnation, requiring growth from infancy.

Su Ming enjoyed Grud's excessive chatter as a villain, clearing up confusion. Even Barry, the user of Divine Speed, understood it, as did Sea King, who usually lacked comprehension.

Essentially, the Turtle Person's ability remained, controlled by the gorilla's Mind to take action.

"Ah, isn't that Queen Diana? How come she's static here? Haha."

Another voice came from behind Grud, and a spotted female Beastman with yellow fur walked in.

Her head was shaped like a feline, walking with a classic cat stride, her long tail swaying behind her, indicating a cheerful mood.

"Barbara Minerva..." Diana, unable to move, could only glare angrily at Cheetah.

She was Diana's arch-enemy. Her real name was unknown; Dr. Minerva was just an alias. She purposefully befriended Diana to infiltrate the Celestial Eye Association warehouse, where she stole an African Magic Prop, a Sacred Dagger possessed by the Sain Race's Cheetah Goddess.

She plunged the dagger into her chest, transforming into a half-human, half-leopard Beastman form, acquiring immense Divine Power.

She excelled in disguise, mastering various languages and being very cunning.

Moreover, her combat prowess was formidable. For instance, she once slashed Barry's leg, causing him to fall out of Divine Speed.

Her claws could pierce Superman's skin; her teeth could turn those she bit into mindless Leopard Half-Beastmen.

Crucially, she once had too good a relationship with Diana, who defeated her multiple times without killing her.

It's worth noting that Wonder Woman is no Batman; she even killed her brother, War God Ares.

However, Cheetah wasn't entirely evil. Sometimes, when Diana needed help, finding her and saying a few nice words would make her willingly assist Diana.

Overall, this woman was a follower of power, favoring strength and benefits and wasn't fixated on Earth's Destruction.

Behind her emerged another silent figure, donned in a pitch-black uniform with a flying saucer-shaped helmet and large red eyes.

He didn't resemble marine life, more an Alien.

He was Sea King's mortal enemy, Black Manta. Despite being a human, he once worked alongside Deathstroke.

To put it simply... not particularly successful in the same line of work.

Someone hired him to kill King Arthur, but he trembled and mistakenly killed Arthur's father, Thomas instead.

Arthur chased him everywhere until he reached his home, where Sea King, trembling again, killed Black Manta's father.

Both men killed the other's father, forging irreparable animosity, leaving their encounters at life-and-death struggles.

Black Manta wasn't a good assassin, but a skillful engineer. His Manta Armor was self-made, not only for land, sea, and air but could also shoot a red laser from the helmet's eyes.

Before the Flashpoint Reset, Sea King suffered greatly at his hands.

Black Manta not only killed Arthur's parents but his son as well, also severing one of Arthur's arms.

Yet, at the end, Black Manta remained lively while Sea King found him nearly unmanageable. After the New 52 Rebirth, Manta's hatred shifted to all Atlanteans, obsessing over Atlantis' Destruction.

Su Ming was intrigued by those emerging from behind Groot.

Everyone's arch-enemy showed up, but who would be his opponent? The mad old father of Deathstroke from the Main World or a super enforcer from an extraterrestrial planet?

However, no one followed from behind the gorilla....

Su Ming felt displeased. Was this blatant disrespect?

The Flash, Wonder Woman, Sea King each had their arch-enemy present; where was his? A 4-vs-4 showdown, was his opponent going to be the reincarnated Turtle Person baby?

A plan instantly formed within Su Ming's mind. He was about to prove to these guys what the consequences would be for daring to overlook the world's most terrifying mercenary.
