Chapter 378 - Chapter 346: Dark Arts Master

"You know what, Batman? You're wrong." Luthor's high-tech armor extended a bunch of additional devices from the back, resembling energy weapons like shoulder cannons. He opened fire on Bruce: "We're both smart, but there's a difference."

Bruce rolled to dodge the attack, using his fist to fiercely strike Luthor's chin.

"The difference is I can still keep all my teeth, and you can't."

Batman's punch pierced through Luthor's nanotech mask, indeed knocking out a few of Luthor's teeth, causing the door handle to fly out of his hand, landing on one of Superman's brain cells.

Batman turned towards the object, planning to pick it up and retreat, sensing it's the key.

But flames erupted from Luthor's armor, propelling him forward. He grabbed Batman's leg and threw him aside, going for the object himself.

The two struggled against each other, entangled in Superman's brain.

Bruce was prepared. He had a complete plan to deal with Luthor. As long as Luthor was wearing this green armor, he was no match for Batman.

One by one, gadgets to counter Luthor were taken out of the Bat Belt, leaving Luthor without the strength to fight back, being pounded by Bruce.

"Joker, make your move!"

Luthor had to seek help through communication from Joker, who controlled the Mars Hunter.

Joker, despite being verbose at critical moments, never misses a cue. Under his control, Mars Hunter's eyes were lost in laughter, his green fingers beginning to transform.

Controlled by him, Ron pried open Superman's eyelids, letting his thinned fingers burrow into Superman's eye sockets, following the optic nerve into his brain.

"Hahaha, Superman, we haven't properly met. Let Uncle Joker give you a check-up, hahahahaha..."

Almost instantly, the green tendrils appeared behind Batman, their sharp tips striking towards Bruce's back.

Batman heard the wind and quickly dodged, though a green tendril still slashed a large gash across his waist, blood gushing out as Luthor took the opportunity to escape.

Batman glanced at the wound, confirmed his intestines hadn't spilled out, and ignored the injury.

He had special endurance techniques, using willpower to block out the pain, allowing him to continue fighting.

He stood up, dodging the green vines, continuing towards Luthor, who had picked up the door handle.

"Too late, Batman, you're too slow. It's fully unsealed now! It's mine, and you should get lost!"

Luthor held the object, extending his palm towards Batman.

From that door handle, a burst of intense red light exploded, like a massive energy cannon, hitting Batman head-on.

And in the next second, Bruce, alongside Superman and Ron, all were thrown back to the Hall of Justice, bringing Luthor before the Totality; they were of no further use.

Bruce, struck head-on by the beam, was seriously injured. His entire skeleton shattered, external and internal injuries uncountable. Except for his skull remaining intact, he was now like a noodle person.

He was tossed by Luthor onto the reception desk in the Hall of Justice basement, while nearby a few heroes came for a meal, dealing with the 'unseen Lantern Demon.' Seeing the three in such a state, they couldn't help but exclaim.

Superman and Ron were merely unconscious, but Batman was too severely injured; he needed immediate treatment.

They had to get him to the medical room, where a replica 'Final Machine,' a fully automated high-tech surgical platform made of Promethium Metal, awaited. It's an old friend of Batman's.

Bruce remained conscious, his strong willpower blocking out the pain, but due to blood loss and fractures, he was unable to move.

"Justice League, where are they?"

"Calm down, Batman, you need urgent care." The female hero dragging him to the medical room refused to answer the question.

"You're Don Granger, codenamed White Dove, often in action with the Titans... I know what you're thinking, but right now, answer my question. I'm about to lose consciousness, and there's something important I must say.

White Dove's flight speed was swift, Bruce couldn't resist, already placed on the Final Machine, countless mechanical arms reaching out to him.

"Whoosh." The sound of a match struck, and someone pushed open the luminous door and came in, leaning against the wall, lighting a cigarette in his mouth, speaking to Batman with a nonchalant tone: "You can speak. The league you wanted is right here."

Batman didn't need to look or listen, just the smell of Silk Card cigarette smoke and sweat told him who it was.

He paused slightly, but the other was right; the Dark Justice League is also the Justice League.

"Master Control Computer, do not use anesthesia."

"Warning, performing surgery without anesthesia is extremely dangerous," the Final Machine's computer voice stated.

"Reset instruction, code 0F1270C2 change to 0111FCD7, voice verification... I am Batman."

The indicator lights on the machine flickered for a while: "Instruction reset complete, begin surgery."

Various surgical instruments flashed coldly, cutting into Bruce's suit and flesh, starting surgery from his legs, parting muscles, reattaching blood vessels, piecing each bone back to its place.

"Clap clap clap..." Zha Kang, leaning against the wall smoking, shook his head in admiration, clapping: "Amazing, leaving a contingency even on medical equipment. I must get a lawyer to make a will, if I were to die unexpectedly, the murderer must be Batman."

"My time is short, listen to every word I say."

Batman ignored Zha Kang's sarcastic tone, speaking solemnly of some information, before succumbing to shock due to excessive blood loss.

Constantine scratched his scalp with a cigarette-clasped finger, dandruff falling like snow, causing White Dove beside him to show a disdainful expression.

So dirty!

"Oh, this is no small matter..." Constantine realized he had taken on a big task, immediately feeling hesitant, fearing trouble.

He thought of sneaking off, heading back to London for a drink.

However, White Dove stared at him intently, her gaze full of disdain.

He knew if he fled, White Dove would definitely report to 'Dead,' and that guy in the red tights would surely haunt him endlessly.

"What to do... Should I consider sacrificing 'Dead' to the Demon God to settle the debt..."

This thought, however, gave Zha Kang inspiration, and he began to consider seriously.

He started contemplating selling off kids, maybe it could earn him the help of the Three Palaces. If negotiating to let the Three Palaces stay in the human world to spend time with his daughter, the present predicament could be resolved.

As for whether 'Raven' wanted to spend time with her father... as the Dark Arts Master, Constantine always had a way.

Just deceive.
