Chapter 333 - Chapter 301: Holding the Line

"We can't defend against the enemy's encirclement here, let's change locations." Su Ming immediately pointed to the Prime Minister's Office behind him, instructing everyone to take cover inside.

Though it's just a marble building, its sturdiness can't compare to Apocalypse's shield, but the situation changes when facing the German Army.

They wouldn't dare use heavy firepower to attack the Prime Minister's Office; this is the Supreme Leader's residence and the center of Nazi power. Hydra might want to seize the opportunity to disrupt, but the Defense Army won't allow it.

As long as they don't use heavy weapons, Su Ming alone can hold the position at the door.

If this can provoke internal strife between Hydra and the Defense Army, that would be even better.

"Little Rascal, you guys take the second-floor windows and keep the streets on all four sides locked down." Su Ming quickly issued orders: "Cable, take your team, seal all the windows on the first floor, then hold the back door. Wade and I will cover the rear."

Deadpool drew his dual blades, looking dejected: "Cover the rear again, always me in the back. So self-healing ability users should charge first and retreat last, huh?"

Su Ming also drew his Great Sword, looking at him affirmatively.

"Alright, this street, you right, me left. Let these Germans get a good look at Grandmaster Deadpool's muscular form," Deadpool said, but did what needed to be done, raising his weapon, charging outside the shield.

"That's the right side... This unlucky child, forget it..." Su Ming closed his eyes helplessly, this guy is always a headache, can't even tell right from left in such a situation!

Su Ming used the cloak and shot like a javelin towards the other end of the street, swinging the Great Sword like a windmill.

..........

They've been trapped inside the Prime Minister's Office for over half an hour, and just as Su Ming expected, the enemy had completely abandoned heavy weaponry, instead organizing raiding parties to attack from different directions.

The main door that Su Ming blocked couldn't be breached; several attacks were repelled like waves crashing against rocks.

They started a multi-directional assault; Deadpool, Cable, and Journey turned into firefighters, confronting every wave of enemy offensive.

Fortunately, they could scavenge enemy weapons, and the ammunition could last for quite some time. Su Ming was cutting down incoming semi-mechanical soldiers while contemplating whether to use the trump card originally intended for Apocalypse.

However, he decided to hold on, confident that Apocalypse will prevail over Kang. Even if he couldn't see their battle, he already saw the outcome.

"Strangulation, block them for a moment, I'll have a smoke."

The Symbiote sent a protesting thought, something like 'we' are Strangulation, calling it alone wasn't right.

Su Ming leaned against the wall by the door, took off his helmet to smoke and ponder other matters. He had his own codename, no need to share one with the Symbiote, which was more like a parasite to him, just needed to be obedient.

There wasn't time now to distinguish mine from yours, the Symbiote couldn't resist his telekinesis, and countless tentacles were using guns rolled up from the ground to sweep outside the door continuously.

"Whew... Apocalypse hasn't returned, what a scam, forget it... Strangulation, guns aren't one-off items, you need to learn how to change a magazine, come, I'll teach you tactical reload."

Each different Symbiote learns different things from different hosts, which largely determines their abilities.

But they also have their own preferences.

For example, the Symbiote 'Lai Xiu,' it doesn't like humans or other intelligent creatures as hosts, choosing dog species every time, so it often looks like a tawny dog.

'Venom' likes biting heads, 'Slaughter' enjoys morphing into various giant cold weapons like a Swiss Army Knife, 'Contempt' prefers female hosts.

For some reason, Strangulation seems to favor ranged attacks, an uncommon preference among Symbiotes.

Symbiotes enhance host strength, speed, and durability, but not skills like spear technique.

Firearms are external, Symbiotes barely enhance them.

Of course, there's an exception like Contempt, an electronic Symbiote, capable of connecting almost all electronic devices or morphing itself into various thermal weapons.

Perhaps Strangulation wishes to evolve similarly? What has it seen in Su Ming's mind?

Strangulation was indeed pondering other matters while firing at the German Army before the door.

It saw Su Ming's memories of Venom from comics, saw how Venom repeatedly produced spores, how those progeny overpowered Venom, hammering it in multiple storylines.

Strangulation thought Venom was foolish, especially as its host was obviously immortal; why bother begetting spores? Even if the host perished, it wouldn't be a problem itself, producing spores seems to be unnecessarily troublesome.

Strangulation decided it would never reproduce spores. Life was good with X Metal supplying energy, never needing to worry about host stamina, always maintaining activation.

With its host being among humanity's strongest, why produce offspring? To compete with itself for the host?

No way.

Currently planning to evolve some vocal organs to learn human speech...

As Su Ming and his team took cover behind the Prime Minister's Office's walls and windows, fiercely engaging the German Army, a blazing streak crossed the sky like a comet.

Perhaps attracted by the commotion, the streak made a turn, heading directly toward their location.

A figure engulfed in flames descended from the sky, landing in front of the Prime Minister's Office.

"Stop fighting, you guys stop fighting!"

Su Ming sighed, indeed the guy didn't even grasp the meaning of warfare.

Shouting "stop" loudly in English on the battlefield, does it work?

"The lad is too naive, let me help you grasp reality..."

Su Ming saw clearly, hiding by the door, it was Jim Hammond just landing in front, this guy finally joined the battle.

But he's not yet the future S.H.I.E.L.D. special agent, just a patrolman with less than two months on the job.

For his future's sake, Su Ming tucked his helmet under his arm, cupped his hands like a megaphone around his mouth.

"Angriff!"

He shouted at the German Army on the street from behind the door, commanding in German to assault.

The Torchbearer's initial appearance might have dazed the German Army momentarily due to the hellish flame effects, but Su Ming's standard German command snapped them back to reality.

They're German soldiers, and even if a Hell Demon stood before them, they'd let it taste bullets first.

In no time, the Torchbearer's figure was engulfed in a storm of various attacks, with dust even wafting into the doorway where Su Ming was situated...
