Chapter 342 - Chapter 310: The Ancient One's Deal

These days, Su Ming hasn't been idle either. First, he took Little Rascal and Jean Grey out for a shopping spree, as a fulfillment of his initial promise.

Then he paid Deadpool and Cable their commissions, generously giving each fifty thousand US Dollars. As for how much these fifty thousand would be worth in the future, that's not his concern.

"Goodbye, hurry back before those women come again." Su Ming pushed Wade, who was now lounging on the sofa in his office, munching on various snacks.

That's right, during Su Ming's absence, Wilson Enterprises had once again advanced in snack technology.

Cable thought the same. It was okay to occasionally ask Deadpool for help, but being around him all the time would drive anyone crazy.

His body had mostly recovered, the world was safe again, and he ought to return. He had already fixed Deadpool's belt, just waiting to say goodbye.

"Alright." Deadpool patted his butt, stood up, licked his fingers, and stretched a bit, "See you around."

He tossed the half-eaten bag of snacks down, fiddled with his belt a bit, waved at Su Ming, and with a 'swoosh,' disappeared.

Su Ming breathed a sigh of relief, finally some peace and quiet.

The feeling of having Deadpool around is like a fly constantly buzzing around you; you wish you could catch it, pull out its tongue, and tie it in a knot around its neck!

Cable gave Deathstroke a helpless look. You've got temporary relief, but what about me? More to endure after going back together.

The two women waved goodbye, Cable and Su Ming shook hands, and then he too disappeared from the office.

Su Ming leaned back in his boss chair, turning to look out the window at New York. The city was still the familiar sight, sunlight casting on the skyscrapers, reflecting a variety of colors.

"Boss, Steve went to Egypt, the message we released allowed him to gather the team."

Gin slowly walked in from the door, seeing that the extras were gone, he reported the situation to Su Ming.

Su Ming picked up a wine glass from the table, swirling the brown liquid inside. Everything was going according to plan, history restored to its original state.

Though slightly ahead of schedule, the World-shocking Wonders team was complete, the first superhero team in history as it should have been.

However, in this world, thanks to Deathstroke's inspiration, heroes started liking to team up for action.

"Very good. In a few days, I'll borrow Howard Stark for a couple of days. The SSS Serum I procured last time will be yours to use."

Su Ming took a sip of his drink, instructing Gin generously, as it was a pre-arranged plan.

Anyway, it's 'Captain America' borrowing people; as long as Howard prepares his equipment, they can shove off once it's installed, with no worries about him leaking any secrets.

Afterwards, let Erskine get some air, finish Gin's modification, and continue planting pineapples.

Everything was under control.

"Boss... I don't think I need the SSS Serum..." Gin looked hesitant, not particularly enthusiastic about it.

Su Ming waved his hand, lit a cigar, gazed outside, "There's only one serum; it won't turn you into a monster, just extend your life. Priority is for you to use it, other folks, I'll see if I can snatch the Infinite Formula from Hydra in a few years."

"But I..."

Just as Gin was about to say something, a figure suddenly appeared in the office, standing right next to Su Ming out of nowhere.

"Mr. Wilson."

"Master Gu Yi? Welcome, it's your first time at my home, right? Please, have a seat."

Su Ming turned to see the bald woman standing beside him, smiling, but he felt a little uneasy inside.

Because even though things were over, he still had the Magic Floating Cloak and hadn't returned it. He didn't want to return it; once something was in Deathstroke's possession, there was no reason to give it back!

He hospitably invited The Ancient One to sit on the sofa, offering her smokes and drinks. Upon seeing her peculiar expression, he realized Mages really had no interest in such things.

No smoking, no drinking, no perms, Master Ancient missed out on life's three great pleasures…

"Ahem, Gin, go bring over some of our company's products, lots of snacks and spicy sticks." Su Ming gestured at Gin to prepare some, while he tidied the mess Deadpool left on the sofa.

The Ancient One might lack hobbies, but he could cultivate some for her. Wilson Enterprises had so many products; there had to be something she'd like.

"Mr. Wilson, I'm here today to discuss the timeline and world safety with you."

Master Gu Yi still smiling, sat quietly cross-legged on the sofa.

Su Ming paused his tidying, then continued arranging things around him, "Oh? But I've already solved Kang's problem."

"Indeed, as he was watching you, I was watching him too." The Ancient One readily admitted her spectatorship, "You both arrived in this world at the same time, and I discovered both of you."

"Then you found out I was just a normal person, so you approached me. You discovered he was a madman, so you avoided him, right?"

Su Ming had known this all along, Kang invaded the timeline, how could The Ancient One not know?

She always knew, she just didn't want to intervene.

"Avoiding him wasn't because I found him mentally unstable or insane, but because such a time-traveling person discovering the magic world couldn't be allowed." The Ancient One shook her head with a smile, she was here to be honest about this, knowing full well how terrifying a time-traveler familiar with magic could be.

Even she couldn't travel through time, and if such a villain emerged, it truly would be dangerous.

"Well, it seems in your eyes, I'm quite a bit better than Kang, that makes me happy." Su Ming sat next to The Ancient One, pouring a drink down his throat.

The Ancient One slightly closed her eyes, intertwining her fingers into a Dharma Seal, choosing to skip this topic.

"There's a deal I'd like you to consider?"

"What deal?" Su Ming continued to drink one glass after another, feeling still a bit gloomy about time-travel issues despite Master Gu Yi's mention.

"You've passed my and Emperor Vishanti's test, guarding our reality and world; you're now officially the next Supreme Mage, congratulations." The Ancient One looked at Su Ming with a smile, nodding in gratification.

"No way, I refuse, no matter what it's swapped with." Su Ming immediately refused, thinking the responsibility of the Supreme Mage was too great, he'd rather not take this Black Pot.

"What I just said wasn't a deal, but a notification. Emperor Vishanti has already decided, you can only talk to him if you want to negotiate." The Ancient One said expressionlessly, looking at the many cups on the coffee table, "But considering you can't use magic, it's likely several hundred years before you can communicate with Vishanti, and by then, I'll be long dead."

"Sigh… what did he fancy about me? I'll change, okay?" Su Ming laid floppily on the sofa.

"Now here's the deal. I know you're not too keen on being Supreme Mage, nor enthusiastic about guarding Earth, so I'll pay, hiring you to do this job."

Just as The Ancient One was about to continue on the deal, Gin returned, bringing samples of all Wilson Enterprises' products and placing them on the coffee table before The Ancient One.

The Ancient One looked at the topmost black sexy lingerie set, her mouth twitching slightly.
