Chapter 163 - Chapter 135: Methods of Maintaining the Timeline

"So, Captain, what's your decision?" The AI's female avatar appeared on the screen, her expression serious.

"Uh... my decision..."

Sarah rubbed her head and discovered that the crew around her were all eagerly looking at her, her expression shifting continuously.

"What decision? Did something happen?"

It was as if she had temporary amnesia, her face full of confusion, playing with her blonde hair with her fingers, she questioned everyone back.

"Great, the captain's gone crazy due to the shock."

"Quick, take her to the medical pod!"

"Uh-oh, we don't have a first mate, if the captain is out of her mind who will command?"

The crew fell into chaos, with Atom Hero directly ready to carry her for treatment, this was a mental issue, they had to stop it early.

"Put me down! I'm not sick!" Sarah struggled, she was White Canary, having once undergone hellish training with Green Arrow under Deathstroke and studied in the Assassin Alliance for two years, her close combat skills weren't something a scientist like Atom Hero could match.

If Atom Hero were wearing his war garment it would be fine, his ability to grow and shrink was indeed powerful, but now everyone was unprepared, no one was a match for White Canary.

She easily freed herself from her crew, backflipped, and sat back on the sofa steadily.

"Sarah, we're not saying you're ill, but a check-up wouldn't hurt, right, just a routine check." A girl with glasses approached, her smile revealing a guilty conscience.

Mad people always say they're not mad, just like people who are drunk always say they're not drunk.

Sarah gave her a disdainful glance, all on the same ship, how come these people were so bad at understanding things? Didn't they notice the smart historian white-collar had already slipped away?

"Ahem! I mean, has Earth 0 been destroyed now?"

Sarah donned her captain's demeanor, tugged at the split of her white uniform at the chest, almost exposed just now.

Upon hearing this question, everyone shook their heads unanimously, Earth 0 was there intact, and it appeared the Justice League had the situation under control.

"So did you see any unstable factors?" Sarah asked again.

Everyone still shook their heads, all the baddies had been arrested, or they had been turned into minced meat, what unstable factors could there be?

Sarah smugly crossed her arms, her big blue eyes twinkling mischievously as she smiled and said, "Then aren't we settled? If the outcome is good, everything is good, what temporal errors? They don't exist."

If they truly needed to fix temporal errors, how would they do it? Travel back to before anything happened and help Barbatos and the Dark Knight Order deal with Deathstroke?

In that case, perhaps everyone would be doomed... this Deathstroke was way stronger than the one in their world, and obviously the Justice League would side with him, as The Flash was the one with the deepest understanding of time.

The combat awareness, speed, and strength of this Deathstroke, as well as that full set of gear, just by glancing at Kideon's observation records Sarah felt her heart skip a beat.

If Deathstroke recognized the Legends of Tomorrow Team, even if no one paid for their heads, none would escape being seriously injured and close to death.

So Earth 0's muddy waters were not something she'd get involved in, but going back to the captain's quarters now to continue cuddling with a girl, is that a good idea?

"Hmm... I think this crisis is rather serious, let's try to resolve this one."

Sarah approached the big screen, moved Kideon's head to one side, brought up the star map of multiple timelines in the Multiverse, and selected a planet.

The crew leaned in close to the screen, it turned out that a Jurassic Period dinosaur had laid an egg, but the egg was encased in resin and not hatched.

This would result in dinosaurs, researched by scientists, reemerging on Earth in the year 2100.

To say there were any serious consequences, not really, just an additional Jurassic Park, but this was something that shouldn't have happened, so it was a temporal error.

Looking at the Earth rotating on the screen, next to it in the threat level was a green '1', with a question mark after the 1, indicating even Kideon wasn't sure if it counted as a threat.

But the captain had almost explicitly pointed it out, the crew didn't want to face Deathstroke and the Justice League, so of course, they went along with it.

"Right, this is perfect, with issues like this, we must correct them properly." The muscular man took out his flamethrower, pondering which dinosaur would be more delicious.

"Yes, I've been wanting to see dinosaurs in the Jurassic for a long time, that Tyrannosaurus that wanted to eat me back then was so cute." Atom Hero also smiled in agreement, though his smile was a bit strained.

"Indeed, I originally lived in the year 2210, with severe pollution, I've been wanting to breathe the fresh air of ancient times." The young girl caressed her face, as if the air pollution had affected her skin, and she wasn't aware that ancient air wasn't suitable for humans.

But the crew quickly reached a consensus, expressing that the captain was wise.

Sarah nodded with a smile, maintaining the normal order of the timeline truly was a strenuous job.

She walked to the control panel at the front of the spaceship, the crew followed her, securing themselves in their seats to avoid collisions when traveling through time.

Of course, she didn't forget to inform the historian and the girl in bed to secure themselves as well, after preparing these, she straightened her body in the captain's chair.

"Wave Rider, take off!"

Sarah pushed the control lever to its limit, and after the engine powered up, the Wave Rider instantly disappeared into the green time tunnel.

...............

There were many like the Eternal Council and the Legends of Tomorrow who noticed changes in the Main World, some weren't even human, but for various reasons, most chose to turn a blind eye.

Some due to changes in the timeline, some realizing the Wall of Origin was cracked, but they found the future was completely shrouded in mist, seeing nothing clearly, not daring to take any action.

As Earth emitted a strong white light, Laughing Bat and Su Ming of course noticed in the Bat Cave while cross-checking their musical tastes.

Brother Eye, originally monitoring the Challenger Mountain, now lit up the entire cave with its naturally bright screen.

Su Ming could also feel many positive thoughts emerging in his mind, ideals like sacrificing oneself for others and acting with righteousness. He knew these were the thoughts of those heroes, conveyed to him through the resonance of X Metal.

But what use did he have for these heroic ideals? His work as a mercenary had nothing in common with those ideals.

He shook his head to toss out these thoughts, quietly watching the Laughing Bat in front of him.

If the Laughing Bat claimed he hadn't noticed such a major commotion, it would blatantly be lying, hadn't the Robins beside him begun scratching the walls?

This kind of silver energy vibration was like poison to all dark creatures, black energies within this wave would suffer greatly.

Call it suffocation, call it poisoning, it felt as if the entire world rejected them.

Sure enough, the Laughing Bat, who had been rapping, also stopped, his smile widened, he put down the nonexistent air microphone and quietly looked at Su Ming.

The two, each harboring their own concerns, could no longer keep up the facade.
