Vivian's POV
Heat coursed through my body as I surfaced from the most intense dream of my life. My heart hammered against my ribs while phantom sensations lingered on my skin. In the dream, Liam had been there with me, his hands claiming every inch of my body with a possessiveness that left me breathless.
But something had been wrong. His eyes had been cold, empty, even as he moved against me with devastating precision.
"This is what you wanted, isn't it?" His voice had been cruel, detached.
The memory of those words sent a chill down my spine as consciousness fully returned.
My eyes fluttered open to unfamiliar surroundings. Cream-colored walls stretched up to an impossibly high ceiling. Floor-to-ceiling windows dominated one wall, their heavy curtains partially drawn to let in streams of golden morning light. The bed beneath me felt like a cloud, with sheets that probably cost more than my monthly rent.
This definitely wasn't my cramped studio apartment.
