The notification chime from my phone cut through the quiet of my office. I reached into my suit jacket, expecting nothing more than another business update or meeting reminder. What greeted me instead made my breath catch in my throat.
A photograph of my wife. Vivian stood with her back to the camera, her silky hair gathered loosely in one hand, wearing the most delicate pink lingerie I had ever seen. The lace barely concealed anything that mattered, and her curves were displayed like an invitation I desperately wanted to accept.
Holy hell.
My fingers traced the screen involuntarily, following the elegant line of her spine down to where the fabric clung to her hips. This was bold, even for her recent attempts at seduction. Perhaps too bold for someone as naturally shy as Vivian.
