Vivian's POV
Liam had abandoned me in the most vulnerable moment possible. My eyes had been closed, surrendering completely, and he simply walked away.
I should have recognized that his detached expression meant exactly what it appeared to be. Complete indifference.
He felt nothing for me.
A different kind of fire spread across my skin as I climbed out of the pool. Pure rage. Self-loathing burned through my veins.
Humiliation consumed my thoughts.
Pure hatred followed close behind.
I had allowed him to manipulate me once again. I had permitted him to convince me to submit to his desires, only for him to abandon me completely unsatisfied.
Drawing in an unsteady breath, I grabbed a towel from nearby, not bothering to retrieve my bikini from the pool water before marching out of the pool area.
I avoided my own bedroom entirely.
Instead, I headed directly toward Liam's room.
