Marinelle was in utter shock, she used her hands to cover her hanging mouth.
Sage's eyes were closed, only her lips moved.
Marinelle could feel her heart banging hard against her chest. She placed her hand on her chest as if to calm down her fast beating heart.
What was this weird place?
Why were they humming like that?
Marinelle's head was a mess at that moment, she didn't really understand what was going on.
Everything looked creepy and strange around there.
Marinelle stood up straight, her legs shaking from nervousness.
She backed away and broke into a run, not stopping till she reached her room.
She entered her room and bolted the door behind her, she was panting so heavily.
Why on earth would Sage be engaged in something like that?.
What even surprised her more was the fact that Vesper was present there too.
Marinelle thought Vesper was more of a reserved person, was she pretending?.
Does this mean that Vesper and Sage knew each other but we're just pretending not to earlier?.
She was overthinking, many things were running through her head at the moment.
She was dumbstruck, even after several minutes, she couldn't still get herself.
She took deep breaths to calm herself down.
"Are you alright?" She heard someone say.
She was startled for a moment, she looked around and saw Luna seated up on her bed, rubbing her sleepy eyes.
"Did I scare you?Relax, it's just me," Luna said, smiling a little.
Marinelle looked at her and didn't want to talk to her. What if she's one of them?
"Are you okay?, won't you talk to me?" Luna asked clearly confused as to why Marinelle was mute, when she was right in front of her.
Marinelle just walked to sit on her bed, her hands on her chest still trying to calm her fast beating heart.
Marinelle kept staring at Luna then there was a knock on the door that shifted their attention from each other.
They listened carefully, and the sound came again.
"I think someone's knocking," Luna said fearfully.
" What do you want us to do?" Marinelle asked in a frightened face.
"Open of course to know who's there" Luna said and was standing up to the door when Marinelle grabbed her by the hands and pulled her towards herself.
Luna fell on Marinelle's body causing them both to be in a very compromised position on Marinelle's bed.
They stared deeply at each other lost in thoughts.
Luna's face went beet red like a tomato, Marinelle looked deeply into Luna's eyes lost in thoughts.
It happened all of a sudden, Marinelle's eyes turned white and her head immediately went up.
She stayed like that for a full 28 seconds before her eyes turned back to normal.
Marinelle looked at Luna with a fearful expression and so did Luna.
Luna just witnessed Marinelle's eys turn white.
Marinelle on the other hand, just saw many things in a flash about Luna, it was like a vision.
She saw Luna in a dark cave, a black piece of closed cloth wrapped over her nude body.
She was in her subconscious mind and was just moving forward, her head up straight walking deeper into the cave.
Vesper and Sage were on the other end of the very dark cage, hands stretched out, it was like they were trying to call out to Luna.
Luna gasped and put her hand on her mouth. Yes! Marinelle had special abilities.
She hasn't told anyone, not even Sage, her Best friend.
It'll be a disaster if Luna goes about yapping it to others.
Marinelle pushed Luna to sit on the bed gently.
"Mari....your eyes…. just...now they….." Luna tried to say Still shocked.
"Luna I know you're scared but you have to trust me. You can't tell Vesper or Sage any of this" Marinelle said to her desperately.
"But why?" Luna asked.
"I'll tell you the details later but right now please just keep your mouth shut and act like everything's fine okay?" Marinelle asked again, trying to make sure Luna was going to keep her word.
"Fine I'll keep shut, but you better give me an explanation".Luna said with a shaky voice.
"Fine," Marinelle said secretly, pleased that Luna didn't blow her cover. She needed to find out what Vesper and Sage were doing.
The knock on the door was louder this time. Marinelle and Luna both looked at each other. Then marinelle stood up and went to the door.
"Who's it?" She asked in a cold and firm tone.
"Open up Marinelle, it's me" A familiar voice came through.
It was sage, Marinelle snorted within her. Done with your little meeting?.
With an approving nod from Luna, she put her hands on the door knob and turned it to the left, opening it.
"Why are you outside Sage?" Marinelle asked, trying to act surprised.
"I went to pee" Sage smiled and lied through her teeth.
Marinelle couldn't help but compliment Sage for being a full time expert liar.
She lied so well with even blinking or batting an eyelash.
Heaven knows how many times she has lied to Marinelle and covered it up with her sweet face.
"Me too" A cold voice emanated from behind Sage.
Sage entered the room and Vesper followed behind shoving Marinelle a little bit as she entered the room.
"I thought you and Vesper didn't get along that well?" Luna asked with a serious face leaning on her bunk.
Marinelle smiled a little, maybe Luna also noticed that something was off about them.
For a second Sage didn't speak nor did Vesper. Luna put her hands over her mouth and gasped, she wanted to say something.
Marinelle held her breath in anticipation for what Luna was about to blurt out.
She would understand if Luna wanted to ask them about what she told her not to tell them.
It was really hard to keep such a secret.
Sage turned to look at Luna, Vesper stopped dead on her track not moving.
"Wait a minute!, I hope it's not what I'm thinking?" She asked, staring directly into the sage's eyes.
"Well I wouldn't know what you're thinking except you let it out" Sage said to Luna walking closer to her.
Luna equally walked towards her and said to her "...".
