Three cats slipped through the estate's gate at dusk.
Small. Unremarkable. The kind of strays that wandered Obsidian City's alleys in dozens, too common to notice. They moved through the courtyard entrance one at a time — silver, black, gold — and padded across the stone toward the main house with the specific, purposeful gait of animals that knew exactly where they were going.
The estate's concealment formation closed behind them. The layered ward that Yinxin maintained across the entire property — the formation that hid dragon auras, masked essence signatures, and made the courtyard invisible to anyone outside its boundary — settled back into place.
Inside the ward, the cats changed.
