Chapter 176 - Chapter 175: The Supreme Mentor

Chapter 175: The Supreme Mentor

Throughout the Nightfall's depths, cold and death hung over the air. The walls were etched with symbols, strange, impossible things.

The Great Wilderness Imprisoning Heaven Finger?

The Monkey King is born?

Heaven's diagram?

Francis stared at them. The Night Lords looked up at the ceiling, eyes darting nervously, whistling innocently.

'What the hell have you been doing?' He wanted to ask, but the words died in his throat.

"Never mind. Being alive is enough..." Francis muttered.

Sanguinius said nothing.

They entered the medical chamber. Cold stasis-field light surrounded a withered form.

Curze's emaciated body lay silent inside, the stench of decay thick in the air.

The light from Sanguinius gradually dispelled the surrounding aura of chaos. He spoke with genuine concern. "Is there any hope for him?"

Francis raised a hand. "Don't speak. Let me gather my thoughts."

The Goddess of Life had blessed him because of their brotherhood. To fully channel this power, he needed to deepen that bond further. Francis rehearsed in his mind, cycling through the motivational novel encyclopedia repeatedly, steeling his resolve.

The green light emanating from Francis grew stronger and stronger. The Night Lords beside him felt their old ailments begin to heal. Even their gene-seed increased! They even felt the glow of motherhood in each other!

Suddenly, Francis opened his eyes and thrust his hands forward forcefully. "Curze! I'm coming to save you!"

With a boom, countless green psionic energies surged out like a torrent. This power contained the essence of purity and life, standing in stark contrast to the filth and corruption of the warp.

The psionic energy crashed toward the stasis field like a violent storm, tearing a hole in the energy barrier before pouring into Curze's body.

Curze's body trembled violently. A burst of green light erupted from the withered form. Decaying scars and festering wounds healed at visible speed. Half of his body returned to its original robust state.

"Hehe, it's so nice to have such a deep brotherly bond~." The Goddess of Life sat in her cage, swinging her little feet, and looked at Francis with a smile.

Francis stared back at her.

He wasn't sure whether it was imagination, but the Goddess of Life genuinely seemed to enjoy this kind of drama.

"Goddess, could you put in a little more effort? This is only halfway done!" Francis grinned and shouted at her.

At that moment, Nurgle appeared before them, stepping in front of the Goddess of Life.

"Embrace chaos, Francis, and he will be healed," the Plague God intoned.

Curze's previously relaxed expression tensed up again. The remaining unhealed parts suddenly rebelled, dark energy turning into writhing shadows that resisted the holy spiritual energy.

"I have received Isha's blessing!" Francis gritted his teeth, cold sweat beading on his forehead, but his hands remained clenched tightly.

"Your persistence is futile, the Primarch will eventually return to Chaos!" Nurgle declared.

"I have received Isha's blessing!" Francis repeated.

"You will lose your brother, and only Chaos can save him!" Nurgle pressed.

"I have received Isha's blessing!" Francis insisted.

"As long as I am here, everything you do is in vain," Nurgle said.

"Isha has blessed me! She loves me!" Francis shouted back.

Nurgle paused, then spoke with venom. "The soup you made is terrible; the recipe she taught you is mine."

"What!" Francis snarled back. "She would be happier with me, old man!"

Stunned, Nurgle instantly severed the connection, causing violent fluctuations in the warp.

Francis unleashed his green psionic energy, instantly breaking through the corruption that hindered the healing. All wounds closed rapidly, and Curze's shriveled body gradually swelled. All corruption vanished, as if time had reversed, bringing Curze back to his original state.

"Whoosh whoosh whoosh~!" Francis collapsed to the ground instantly, feeling as if his body had been hollowed out.

The surrounding Night Lords were all excited. But after the excitement subsided, they discovered that Curze was still not awake. Their eyes held a mixture of surprise, confusion, and a hint of unease.

One of the soldiers couldn't help but break the silence and asked in a hoarse voice, "Primarch... why hasn't he woken up yet?"

Another warrior clenched his fist and muttered under his breath, "Is the Primarch really going to die?!"

"Could it be an illusion?" a third warrior wondered aloud.

A fourth warrior gripped his chain sword angrily, his voice filled with agitation. "Are we supposed to smash his head open and pull him out?"

Francis immediately stood up, pointed at that Night Lord, and shouted, "Throw him into space! He's a spy for Chaos!"

Following the direction of his finger, the Night Lord, whose hand was wrapped in bandages, flashed a hint of panic in his eyes. "I?! Hey! Hey! No! Ah!"

He was thrown out, and with it, everyone fell silent, not daring to speak again. Their gazes returned to Curze in the medical pod.

Judging from their half-trained state, it was clear that the vast Night Lords had very few apothecaries. Francis looked at Sanguinius again.

"Don't look at me. I don't cure diseases! I'm just transportation right now," Sanguinius said, hurriedly waving a ribbon several times.

Francis sighed. In the end, he had to do it himself. What you see in your dreams is determined by you!

"As long as we give the patient enough stimulation, the patient will wake up from the deep hallucination!" Francis announced. "Listen to my order, go and grab any death row inmate!"

The Night Lords nodded frantically, like chickens pecking at rice, and quickly sent men to bring the death row inmate over.

The death-row inmate, brought closer, was equally bewildered. "I... I just committed a robbery. How did it become an interplanetary crime? I'm innocent, Judge JUDGE, where are you!"

The death row inmate immediately collapsed to the ground, his voice even reaching Curze's dreams.

On the massive mountain of skulls, Curze held the boy's head and began to whisper, "Blood sacrifice..."

Upon hearing this, the colossal figure atop the brass throne rose to his feet, ready to claim his Primarch! He finally...

Before he could think any further, a voice suddenly reached the ears of the dull-eyed Curze.

"My lord, I'm innocent! I'll just rob someone!"

"..."

In that moment, Curze roared, his eyes wide.

"Justice!" In an instant, space shattered, and Curze returned to reality.

Khorne. "..."

Curze then punched the death row inmate in the head, instantly releasing the pent-up breath in his chest. That was exhilarating! "Haa~! Long live justice!"

The surrounding Night Lords were stunned for a moment. The next second, their fanatical emotions swept through the entire room like a volcanic eruption.

"The Primarch has awakened! Our Primarch has awakened!" a soldier roared, his voice echoing throughout the cabin. He swung his chainsaw sword high; it clanged loudly.

"To celebrate the Primarch's return, we must do something!" another soldier suddenly shouted.

"Yes! Music!" another agreed excitedly.

A soldier pulled a huge speaker box from the wall. Accompanied by the mechanical creaking, several soldiers carried out strangely shaped musical instruments: a jagged electric guitar, a bass made of bones, and a giant drum kit modified from an Imperial war drum.

"Death rock, celebrating the return of our Primarch!" an excited soldier yelled, then slammed his foot on the speaker switch.

The piercing electronic sounds and frantic drumbeats instantly filled the entire cabin!

Sanguinius stared in shock.

Francis looked nervous.

"You taught them this, too, didn't you, Francis?" Sanguinius stared straight at him.

Francis looked flustered and touched his nose. "I don't knowwhat you are talking about. How would I know! Maybe they like this stuff, and I didn't do anything!"

Curze. "...."

Seeing that they were still staring at him, Francis quickly changed the subject. "Curze! How could you be so careless as to be corrupted by chaos? You almost turned into a chaos pawn!"

Upon hearing this, Curze's face immediately darkened. "They're Imperial assassins! They wanted to kill me! Dont you get it, Francis? Father wants to kill me, too!"

Upon hearing this, Sanguinius exclaimed in alarm, "Don't make wild guesses, Konrad. Father is not the only one who can command assassins. Father loves us! How could he hire someone to kill us?"

Curze's face darkened further, and although he didn't speak, his attitude was obvious.

"How about this!" Francis said brightly. "You come back with me, and I will establish a religion, the Supreme God of the High Heaven, the Supreme God of All People, the Supreme Emperor Church. We just happen to be missing the position of Grand Master of the Divine Court. How about you help your brothers out?"

Francis patted Curze on the shoulder, and the other looked at him with a bewildered expression, then turned to Sunguinius, "What... religion cults? Since when?"

Sanguinius looked at him blankly, as if something was wrong.

"It is the Supreme Heavenly Divine Authority, the Supreme God of Universal Salvation, and the Ultimate Imperial Cult!" Francis explained enthusiastically. "If you find it hard to remember, just call it the Divine Emperor Cult! From now on, we are not only the Primarchs, but also the divine children of the Supreme God of the High Heaven, the Supreme God of Universal Salvation, and the Supreme Emperor's Church!"

Francis looked at them with a serious expression, while their faces were full of confusion.

But it wasn't over yet. Francis continued, "I will temporarily assume the role of Pope, and you will be the Supreme Master of the Tribunal. Sanguinius is the Archangel of Judgment in my church! I haven't figured out the doctrine yet. You'll have to wait until I have time to write a book of divine pronouncements. Hehe, not bad, right!"

Curze stared in shock. "!!!"

Sanguinius gaped. "!!!"

Khorne, still watching from the warp, recoiled. "!!!"
