Chapter 1155 - Chapter 821: Failed Memory Extraction_2

Because there was a lot of content, Kael took a long time.

From evening to late at night, and then to early morning, it was clear that during this time, Professor McGonagall had many questions, but she held back without interrupting Kael.

"So you're saying that Dumbledore not only repaired the Time Turner taken from the Chamber of Secret, but also used it to go back a hundred years?"

Professor McGonagall rubbed her forehead, the information she just received was overwhelming, and she needed to sort it out properly.

"That's right." Kael nodded, "No one has seen Professor Dumbledore during this time because he doesn't exist in the current timeframe."

"Wait a minute, that's not right."

At this moment, a female headmaster suddenly spoke: "If it's a Time Turner, Albus should have returned ages ago. That's a kind of... balance of time."

"It's because of time repulsion, as both Professor Viktor and Nicolas Flamel have said." Kael explained, "After all, it's an object from a thousand years ago. Although it was barely repaired, there are bound to be issues."

"When did this happen?" Professor McGonagall asked in a deep voice.

"A month ago, at midday during Lupin and Tonks' wedding." Kael said.

"So, Dumbledore has been missing since then?" Professor McGonagall aimlessly paced around the Headmaster's Office, muttering quietly:

"Leaving without a word... Didn't he consider what would happen if You-Know-Who attacked the school with the Death Eaters at this time?"

"I guess he must have thought about it." Kael said, "Or he originally intended to leave and return quickly, but didn't anticipate getting trapped in the past, unable to come back."

"Why are you only telling us this now!" Professor McGonagall turned to look at Kael, speaking harshly.

"Exactly." Phineas in the portrait chimed in, seemingly unwilling to miss a chance to add fuel to the fire, "Since you knew about it, you should have informed us about Albus's whereabouts immediately instead of..."

"Please be quiet, Headmaster Black." Professor McGonagall frowned, unceremoniously interrupting him.

Phineas's tone halted as if feeling offended, but looking at Professor McGonagall's eyes, he said nothing further, silently closing his mouth and standing aside.

"This was Professor Dumbledore's request." Kael explained, "He anticipated that he might get trapped, so he asked me to keep it a secret until he came back and then discuss it."

"If that's the case, why are you telling me now?" Professor McGonagall had regained her composure, "If it's meant to be secret, don't tell anyone, that's the safest."

"There's no need for that now." Kael shrugged, "I haven't finished yet; the time repulsion Dumbledore is experiencing can't be solved by himself. If no one helps, he might be stuck in the past forever."

"What should we do?" Professor McGonagall asked.

"No rush, we still need to wait patiently for a while."

Then Kael told her what happened after going to France, including the flaws of the Time Turner he heard from Professor Viktor and the solution Nicolas provided when he later met him.

"...That's it, so I came back first."

Kael spoke for about an hour, feeling parched, but finally, he explained everything clearly.

"The current issue is that Professor Dumbledore can't resolve the time repulsion alone; he might not even realize he's being repelled and is simply repeating things he's experienced countless times.

"Without help, he might never return, but if Professor Viktor's solution succeeds, he might return the same day, so this matter no longer needs to remain a secret.

"Saying it is to prepare the school... in case he really doesn't come back, at least someone knows why."

"That won't happen." Professor McGonagall took a deep breath, "He's Albus Dumbledore, after all."

"Yes." Kael smiled.

"What do we need to do?" Professor McGonagall asked.

"Not you all, just me." Kael tapped the table, and a fresh glass of lemonade appeared beside his hand. "Once the Time Turner is fixed, I will use it to go back in time and help Professor Dumbledore correct his incorrect path."

"No way!"

As soon as Kael finished speaking, Professor McGonagall immediately objected: "We know nothing about time travel; even a wizard like Dumbledore is trapped, let alone you.

"In any case, leave it to us professors. You're just a fresh graduate who can't and shouldn't take such risks."

"No, Professor, it has to be me."

Kael sighed, "Though I don't want to take risks either, but there's no choice. We've encountered too many things, and only I know what exactly happened."

Kael vaguely guessed that Dumbledore should already be back by now, otherwise, there's no way to explain the Time Turner sent to Beauxbatons suddenly appearing out of nowhere.

And the person who witnessed and knew all the details from start to finish is him, only he knows what to do when.

This is what he thought of while at Nicolas's estate.

"Still, no." Professor McGonagall insisted: "You can tell me everything that happened in detail... No, I remember there's a Pensieve here, I will teach you the Charm to extract memories, as long as I personally experience it, there will be no problem."
