Chapter 746 - Chapter 684: Who Said I Came Alone? (Part 2)

"That's not necessarily true." A faint voice came from above everyone.

Bellatrix instinctively looked up and only then realized that a person had appeared before the topmost door, without anyone knowing when.

But in the next second, her gaze landed on the creature beside this person, a creature with a completely black body.

It wasn't just her; everyone else in the room saw it too.

"Kael?" Mr. Weasley's look of disappointment flashed briefly in his eyes; he had just thought it was Dumbledore.

But when he realized what was happening, he immediately shouted, "Run, you're not..."

Before he could finish his sentence, he suddenly couldn't make any sound.

Because he saw the animal, which looked like a leopard, next to Kael, step forward and lift its neck.

Harry also looked up, not recognizing the animal, but saw its neck swell like a pufferfish, and then a hazy purple smoke quickly began to spread around.

It was as if the pause button had been pressed; the room suddenly fell silent. Everyone, whether Death Eater or Mr. Weasley and the others, stared wide-eyed.

In the next second...

"Damn it, why is there a Nundu in the Ministry of Magic!"

"Run..."

"Do you want to kill everyone?"

"Stop, stop it now!"

"No, Kael, stop!"

The room instantly fell into chaos,

Antonin Dolohov no longer paid attention to Moody, and ran to the other side of the room without looking back.

The other Death Eaters also abandoned the incapacitated Hermione and Ron, scrambling to follow him as they tumbled.

Even the maniacal Bellatrix began to instinctively retreat.

"Ron, Hermione..."

Seeing the Death Eaters retreat, Harry wanted to step forward to grab the unconscious Ron and Hermione, but Mr. Weasley caught him firmly.

"Don't go over there, that's Nundu's toxin, you'll die!"

Harry was stunned for a moment, then struggled even more fiercely.

"But they're still there... I have to save them..."

"...It's too late, Harry!" Mr. Weasley said painfully.

The purple smoke spread quickly and had already engulfed Ron and Hermione lying on the floor as they spoke.

Mr. Weasley bit his lip tightly and dragged Harry backward.

He couldn't understand why Kael would direct the Nundu to kill everyone.

Why would he do such a thing!

Mr. Weasley's nails dug into his flesh, desperately hoping the Kael in front of him was fake, someone in disguise using Polyjuice Potion, but reason told him it was impossible.

Because besides Kael, Chris, and Newt Scamander, he couldn't think of anyone else who could command a Nundu.

Several Death Eaters immediately cast the Bubble-Head Charm on themselves.

"It's useless..." Kael shook his finger, "Even if the Nundu's toxin is on your clothes, it can seep into your body."

For a moment, the Death Eaters ran even faster.

However, Lupin in the crowd, upon hearing this, suddenly looked up at Kael, seemed to realize something, and let out a long sigh of relief.

He stopped running and stood there, allowing the purple smoke to engulf him.

"Remus..." Sirius yelled, eyes wide with tears.

Now Mr. Weasley not only had to hold Harry but also had to spare a hand to pull Sirius back.

"Remus... Let me go, Remus hasn't come over... I have to save him!"

"Shut up, Padfoot, don't embarrass yourself."

A familiar voice came from within the smoke, and Sirius blinked in confusion, looking at Lupin, who was unscathed inside.

"You, you're okay?"

"Of course, you saw it didn't you?" Kael also walked over.

He took out his wand and waved it; the same kind of purple smoke drifted out from the tip.

"I just changed the color of the Smoke Spell, that's all... You didn't really think I was going to kill everyone, did you?"

"Sorry, Mr. Weasley." Kael turned his head and said, "Only by making the Death Eaters feel a mortal threat could I rescue Ron and the others who couldn't move... It was the most effective way."

"Ah? Oh, yes... it was, indeed." Mr. Weasley also realized then, his face turning as red as if a layer of paint had been applied, "You did well, thank you."

"Professor Lupin..." Kael looked at Lupin again, "When did you realize it?"

"When you said the Nundu's toxin could enter the body through the clothes." Lupin said, "As far as I know, its poison mist isn't that terrifying, and also, the color was slightly off."

"It's more noticeable this way." Kael said with a smile, "You truly are one of the most popular Defence Against the Dark Arts professors at Hogwarts, unlike some people..."

Kael glanced at Sirius, whose face was still tear-streaked, pursed his lips, and imitated his earlier tone, saying, "Remus... I have to save Remus... You don't trust me at all."

Sirius' face was so red it was scary, wanting to find a hole to hide in, and Mr. Weasley was almost the same.

"So that Nundu..."

"Of course it's fake too." Kael said loudly, "What do you think? My Transfiguration Spell isn't bad, right?"

"Amazing." Kingsley said sincerely.

Seeing the Nundu just now, that kind of fear from the bottom of the heart felt way too real, not like a product of Transfiguration Technique at all.

And because of this, he turned to flee instinctively... and believed the Death Eaters felt the same.

"You dare to trick us!" An angry voice shouted.
