Kael found it hard to describe his current feelings. He had just fallen asleep for less than ten minutes when someone shook him awake.
"Fred, George, you better give me a reasonable explanation." Kael sat up from the bed, rubbing his face, trying to wake himself up a bit.
It was truly amazing, he could actually see Fred and George in his dormitory.
As for Mikel and Ryan, their beds were empty. They were probably still in the common room playing wizard chess. Kael remembered they said they were going to play all night today.
"I know you guys are about to graduate and can't bear to leave everything at Hogwarts, wanting to save sleeping time to look around more, but I'll be back next year..."
Kael couldn't help but say, "And this is the Hufflepuff dormitory. How did you even get in here?"
"Of course, Cedric brought us in," Fred said with a mischievous smile.
"Never mind that." George said, "You've been to the headmaster's office, haven't you?"
Kael nodded, "Yes, what's up?"
"So, has the Order of the Phoenix had any activities recently?" Fred asked in a low voice.
"I haven't heard of any." Kael thought for a moment. "Why are you asking?"
"That's strange, then." George said puzzledly, "If there's nothing going on, why did Harry and the others leave the school?"
"Leave the school? What do you mean?"
"They just flew away into thin air." Fred explained, "We were just discussing the opening of Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes when we looked up and saw Harry flying up in the sky."
"And Hermione and Ron," George added.
"They seemed to be riding something, but we couldn't see it." Fred said, "I guess it must be Thestrals."
"What?" Kael instantly became wide awake.
He didn't expect that even after Dumbledore had spoken so clearly, Harry still believed in that dream of his...
No need to think about it, his target must be the Ministry of Magic, after all, Kael heard him mention that place when he was outside the headmaster's office before.
And this is simply a trap. Harry going means that the Death Eaters would go too... or they are already there, waiting for Harry.
"Damn it, when did this happen?"
"Should be about two hours ago." Fred thought for a moment and said, "We were just arguing about the opening's activities, and only remembered this when we got here on our night stroll... Wait, Kael, where are you going?"
Under the puzzled gaze of the Weasley brothers, Kael jumped straight out of bed and rushed out of the common room.
When he reached the eighth floor, he just happened to meet Dumbledore standing at the entrance of the Gryffindor common room.
"Professor..." Kael quickly ran over and repeated the news he had just heard.
"I already know." Dumbledore's face looked a bit grim.
"Just now, I received news that Sirius is safe, and I was about to tell Harry about it, but I seemed to be a step too late.
"I guess they must have left when I was destroying the Horcrux..."
"What do we do now?" Kael asked, "Should we also go to the Ministry of Magic?"
"I'll go," Dumbledore said, "It's safest for you to stay at the school."
"No." Kael shook his head and insisted, "They're going to the Department of Mysteries, and my mother is there."
Dumbledore hesitated for a moment. He wanted to tell Kael that there was actually no need to worry about Diana's safety, but he couldn't utter the words.
Because if he were Kael, he wouldn't just feel reassured by a few words from someone else either.
"It's okay, Professor." Kael said quickly, "As long as the opponent isn't Voldemort, those Death Eaters are no match for me."
"The Death Eaters aren't as weak as you think, Kael." Dumbledore said seriously, "They were once the most outstanding wizards and also personally experienced brutal wars."
Kael didn't say anything, he just took out his suitcase.
"Um... alright then."
In an instant, Dumbledore was convinced.
"Grab my hand." Dumbledore said.
Kael immediately grabbed his arm.
Suddenly, Fawkes flew over from not far away and grabbed onto Dumbledore's shoulder.
After a familiar whirl of spinning and tumbling, the corridor with portraits vanished and was replaced by a deep, dark passage.
"Are we at the Ministry of Magic?" Kael tried to suppress the nauseous feeling in his stomach and asked with his eyes open.
"Yes, this is the entrance to the Department of Mysteries." Dumbledore looked at the black door at the end of the passage and said deeply, "I think we're not too late. They should still be inside."
Kael hurriedly took two steps forward, but when he turned back, he found Dumbledore still standing there. He had already taken out his wand, looking coldly at the other side of the passage.
"You're indeed here, Tom!"
As Dumbledore's words fell, a tall and slender figure wearing a black hood appeared at the end of the passage.
"Ah, Dumbledore..." Voldemort's snake-like red eyes looked unusually eerie in the darkness.
Kael felt a chill all over his body, but now there was no time to think about it.
Dumbledore and Voldemort almost simultaneously raised their wands, and a bright red and green light burst in the narrow passage.
Taking advantage of this moment, Kael pushed open the black door and slipped inside as fast as he could.
As soon as the door closed again, the sound of explosions outside abruptly stopped, as if nothing had happened.
