"Nonsense, I am the Dark Lord's most loyal servant, how could I possibly fear them," the person said in a shrill voice. "I'm just thinking more than they are, you see, didn't I just capture you?"
"Well, you're really lucky then," Kael shrugged.
"Alright, enough with the nonsense," the Death Eater pulled out a wand and stepped towards Kael gradually.
"How lucky, as long as I catch you, I can threaten Potter to hand over the prophecy orb the Dark Lord wants and claim the greatest credit..."
Perhaps because Kael appeared unarmed, the Death Eater became more smug, oblivious to the pair of ghostly blue eyes fixed on him from behind.
"You'd better stand still, don't move..."
"Poof!"
Before he could finish, he was suddenly sent flying uncontrollably backward.
A massive spear made of crystal ball shards appeared out of thin air, piercing through his body, sending him hurtling back to be pinned against a shelf.
Even Kael was startled, having no idea how this "spear" had appeared—instinctively, his wand slipped into his hand from his sleeve, as an orange eye flickered within the box.
"You should be at Hogwarts now, not here."
A familiar voice came from behind, allowing Kael to finally breathe a sigh of relief.
He turned around with a slight surprise, spotting Diana standing not far behind him.
"I got the news that Death Eaters might come to the Department of Mysteries, along with Voldemort," Kael said, not loosening his grip on the wand. "I brought Dumbledore, he should be able to help you."
"Do you think I need help?" Diana shook her head.
Kael instinctively glanced at the Death Eater pinned to the shelf.
"Uh... should I go back now?"
"Forget it." Diana sighed, "Outside the Department of Mysteries is even more dangerous now."
She waved her wand again, and the crystal spear transformed into a small crystal figure, dragging the howling Death Eater into the darkness, his destination unknown.
"Didn't your father tell you?" Diana approached and said, "The Unspeakables are absolutely safe in the Department of Mysteries, even if Voldemort turns it inside out, he won't find us."
"Uh... never." Kael shook his head.
Diana squinted her eyes, a cold glint flashed and passed.
Kael realized he might have ratted on Chris once, quickly chuckling to change the subject, "Mom, aren't you concerned about the Death Eaters?"
"Why should we be?" Diana asked back.
"Shouldn't these be very important?" Kael glanced at the ruined Hall of Prophecy, almost completely dismantled with no intact prophecy orb left.
"Oh, this, just a simple spell can restore everything back to normal." Diana waved her wand, and the knocked-down shelves returned to their positions, once again filled with prophecy orbs.
"Only those involved in the prophecy can retrieve the corresponding prophecy orb in the Department of Mysteries," Diana explained. "Other than that, the rest of the orbs cannot be destroyed, and even if they break, they recover. Additionally, they can't hear the true content of the prophecies."
"I see." Kael suddenly understood. No wonder the Death Eaters were tearing the place apart while no one from the Department of Mysteries showed up; they simply didn't care.
The two talked for a while longer, Diana noticed Kael frequently glancing towards the door opposite them.
"Want to go help?" she asked.
"Yes." Kael nodded, "Since I'm here, I should do something."
"Are you sure?" Diana said, "There aren't few Death Eaters this time, a Wampus Cat won't be much help."
"Besides, for some reason, I can't assist you."
"Oh, it's okay, I don't just have a Wampus Cat," Kael said, opening his box.
A shadow dashed out, rubbing its head excitedly against Kael's hand.
"Nundu..." Diana's eyelids twitched.
But that wasn't all,
Another large black figure struggled to emerge, a three-headed giant dog.
The Three-Headed Dog, Fluffy, previously borrowed from the Forbidden Forest during Care of Magical Creatures class, was now brought along by Kael.
Fluffy had become much larger now, almost taller than Kael with just one leg.
Diana also saw a scaly head poking out from the box but seemingly disliking the cramped space, it retreated after snorting two puffs of fire.
A Fire Dragon... and by its appearance, a Norwegian Ridgeback.
"Where did all of these come from?" Diana rubbed her forehead, asking.
"I borrowed them," Kael said, "Didn't you tell me not to confront Death Eaters directly and instead use my advantages? So, I prepared these."
"Oh, I also have a Basilisk, but its gaze makes no distinction between friend and foe, so it's too dangerous to release it here," Kael confessed.
Diana rubbed her forehead even harder.
She did have that intention before, but hadn't expected Kael to take it to such an extent.
"What's wrong?" Seeing Diana speechless for a while, Kael initiated the question, "Isn't this enough?"
"Put the Nundu back." Diana said irritably.
A Basilisk is dangerous, but a Nundu is safe? It could wipe out the entire Ministry of Magic far more efficiently than a Basilisk.
"Oh." Kael obediently held the struggling Nundu, forcing it back into the box.
Diana watched with a heart full of apprehension.
She finally decided to stop speaking and simply pointed to a door on the right.
"Go through there, keep moving forward, and you'll find them."
