Even though Harry repeatedly stated that his arm was fine and he could be discharged, Madam Pomfrey insisted that he stay in the hospital wing for one night.
"Your arm was twisted!" she said. "If you want to use your wand in the future... you must be certain it's completely healed before leaving."
And so, Harry had to stay.
The Gryffindor team returned in the evening, bringing cake, candy, and several bottles of pumpkin juice, seemingly wanting to have a cheerful party here.
As expected, they were kicked out for severely disturbing others' rest.
...
"I told you ten minutes ago, you always have to come back."
In the auditorium, Kael looked at Fred and George, who had returned unsuccessfully, and said with a laugh, "Even Professor Dumbledore would get kicked out for trying to hold a celebration in the hospital wing, let alone you guys."
"You have to try."
The two sat down at the Hufflepuff's long dining table and casually took the condiment dish Cedric handed over.
"Honestly..." Fred muttered as he peeled a potato, "If only two laughs could wake up Flint or Filch, that would be great."
"Especially Filch... maybe he would even thank us." George winked.
Filch was also in the hospital wing, but he was surrounded by thick curtains, completely shielding him.
...
Early Sunday morning, Kael was preparing to visit Hagrid.
This year, he had hardly gone to the cabin, having only visited once at the beginning of the school year. He hadn't had the time since—he had too many things to do, making up homework and learning magical texts, leaving no time.
On Friday, Hagrid sent a letter saying he prepared new cured ham and wanted Kael to come and taste it.
Kael agreed to go.
But it wasn't about the cured ham—he had tasted it once last year... so salty it was like eating a lump of salt.
He even once suspected it was salt, just turned into ham by Hagrid.
After leaving the auditorium, Kael ran into Hermione and Ron, who were hurrying by in the hall.
"Are you going to visit Harry?"
"Yes... yes, we're going." Ron said nervously, clutching a bulging bag: "This is... a gift for him."
A pungent smell came from the bag, somewhat reminiscent of flowing liquid grass.
Goodness, giving herbs as gifts... When did Harry become so fond of potions?
But Kael didn't point it out and chatted a little before leaving.
Hermione and Ron rushed upstairs, while Kael left the castle and arrived at Hagrid's cabin.
"You're busier than professors these days, Kael."
Hagrid took off his dragon hide gloves, feigning anger: "If I didn't write to you, would you not plan to come again?"
"Of course not, Hagrid," Kael explained. "I've twelve courses of homework to write and two clubs to attend..."
But he saw Hagrid suddenly smile.
"I'm kidding." He picked up a copper pot and poured some steaming pine nut tea into Kael's teacup, "I know you're busy. Professor Kettleburn told me you took twelve courses and write a lot of homework every day... I thought maybe you wouldn't make it today."
"One always has to relax a bit." Kael picked up the cup and blew on it.
"I'm glad you think so." Hagrid smiled, "Besides Kael, you're already excellent. Since Bill graduated, I've never heard of anyone joining multiple clubs like you, you're the first."
As he spoke, he took out the prepared ham sandwich.
Kael shook his head, refusing under the excuse of having just had breakfast.
Hagrid didn't mind, helping himself to another from the plate.
"What about your friends, the Weasley Brothers, Cedric, and Conna..." he asked.
"They're training." Kael said, "Conna and Cho are in the library doing magic text homework."
"Oh, that's good; they're in places with lots of people." Hagrid finished the last sandwich and downed a big cup of tea.
"You should join them, Kael, whether in class or doing other activities, try to be where there are lots of people."
"Are you talking about Filch's incident?"
Kael put down his cup, "I'll be careful."
"Being careful alone isn't enough." Hagrid said seriously, "Yesterday even a professor... oh, I shouldn't say."
"Professor?" Kael frowned, puzzled: "Did something happen last night?"
"Well... you'll know sooner or later." Hagrid glanced toward the castle and lowered his voice, "It's Charity Burbage; last night, Dumbledore found her in an empty classroom, and at that time, she was just like Filch."
Hagrid poured Kael another cup of tea, "Though Charity had been researching Muggle life in their schools, her strength had declined somewhat... I mean, she became less capable than other professors, but she's still an adult wizard."
Kael's hand holding the teacup suddenly paused.
He hadn't expected another attack victim so soon... and it was a professor.
No matter what Charity Burbage was still a bona fide Hogwarts professor, this was entirely different from Filch being attacked.
If a professor was hit, what about the students... it's possible Hogwarts might close directly because of this.
Let's see how Dumbledore resolves it.
Kael stayed in Hagrid's cabin until noon, before carrying a large piece of cured tebo pig leg back to the castle.
Hagrid insisted on giving it; he didn't refuse again.
Norbert had been eating beef shanks and pork chops from the kitchen recently, just right to change up its taste.
As fate would have it, upon entering the entrance hall, Kael ran into Hermione and Ron again, but this time Harry was with them.
They had just come down from upstairs, apparently heading toward the auditorium to eat.
"I can't believe there's such a magical place in Hogwarts." Ron exclaimed excitedly.
"Incredible." Hermione also said enthusiastically, "The things inside are more comprehensive than those in the Magic Potion Classroom, they even have automatic stirring cauldrons, using that can save us tons of time."
"Too bad there aren't potion materials... if it had bicorn horns and boomslang skin, we wouldn't need to go to Snape..."
"Harry!"
Hermione suddenly raised her voice, "It's almost time for lunch, let's discuss potion class homework later."
Harry paused.
Weren't they discussing the Polyjuice Potion, when did they mention potion class homework?
But under Hermione's hint, he quickly noticed Kael not far away.
"Oh, right, Hermione..." instinctively, Harry also raised his voice, "Those potion assignments are truly difficult, I'm starving."
They then quickly descended the stairs, seeming to just notice Kael, greeting him enthusiastically.
"...Kael, I didn't realize you were here too."
That lousy acting made Kael's mouth twitch.
Honestly, when the Niffler tried to deceive him with gold coins, its acting was far better than these three.
"I just returned from Hagrid's place." Kael forced a standard smile, "He gave me a piece of cured ham, do you want some?"
"No, thank you."
Harry, Hermione, and Ron shook their heads simultaneously.
Eat anything Hagrid gives you unless necessary... This was the lesson they learned last year.
