Chapter 3 - Instant Transportation

Roxza was standing right behind Beck with the tip of his fingers at the back of Beck's head, trying to intimidate him while showing off his instant transportation skill. Although the other thing actually happened on Beck as he was totally excited then instead of feeling intimidated.

Beck was trying hard to keep his expression hidden by looking straight down with his face flat looking at the ground, hidden from the elder in front of him, and from both strongest Roxza and Vratvah behind him. Cool down, Beck... I know you're excited but they'll think I'm some kind of freak if I keep grinning like hell...! He tried as hard as he can to loose his grin.

"Listening to your case just now," The elder continue talking. "I think that you came to this planet wasn't entirely just an accident nor it was a coincidence. I think... That you, yourself have the ability to instant transport. And it was activated when you were in dire situation just like what you just did very recently and arrived here, on our planet."

Beck's eyes open wide as one finger lifted and pointed at himself, surprised. "Me? Ability to instant transport?" He was doubting himself but at the same time, he was also believing it fully. But of course he doesn't voiced out about that.

"I can have Roxza trains you on how to use your instant transportation ability. And I'm sure that you have a life to return to on earth, am I right?"

The realization of him being missing since early evening hits him like a truck. "Oh, shit...! That's right!" His family might be worrying about his condition right now. Because unlike before, it was only in the middle of the night when he was Dreaming.

"Then, I suppose we should start it as early as possible. How about right now?" The elder gives a smirk.

"Well, yeah I suppose... Need to get back quick."

"Alright now. Roxza, please do continue. Train him on how to use his instant transportation ability properly."

Upon listening to the elder, a grin was shaping on his face underneath the mask. "Sure, elder~" He was looking down onto Beck with a bad intention that even Beck could feel the bad vibe coming from him. The hair at the back of Beck's neck were standing straight, feeling goosebumps from him.

An end of a staff was stumped hard onto the ground. "Alright now, stranger. Let's make this easy, understand?" Roxza shouts at Beck at a broad empty field not far from the camp.

Nah, his voice seriously sounds a little bit feminine... Is he actually a she behind that mask? That question have yet to be removed out from his head.

"To actually be able to control your instant transportation ability, first, you must have a strong mentality." As he was talking, Beck was keeping notes in his head on how to do it. "To get a strong mentality, you must endure some harsh beatings first."

"Beatings, yes... Wait, what?" Not even giving Beck enough time to question the statement, Roxza begun his beatings session. On end of his pole was struck onto Beck's belly. "Agh!" He fell on his butt.

"Get up, strangers. It just started!" Some light chuckles could be heard from underneath his mask.

He just giggles, didn't he...? He's really enjoying this, isn't he??? Beck was beginning to be terrified of the training.

But out of sudden, it was like a switch was flipped with enough pressure being put onto, it felt like there was a slight force was pulling him back. So, he turned his face around to look at what is behind him but suddenly, he was right outside of his school.

"Eh...." Roxza, along with Vratvah was dumbfounded by the disappearing of Beck.

"What– How???" Beck was totally confused himself. "I'm at school again but outside... Then, that means... That monster before can't get me now... Yes!" He shouted quietly. But then, the dark sky remind him of the time. "Shit! I'm late! Super late!" Steps were opened wide and quick as he run to reach home as quick as possible.

The doorknob was twisted roughly as he push the door open and entered his home.

"Beck!" The sound of Martha shouting his name from the living room struck his ear, startled him bad. "Why did you came home late? Where did you went to?" Her voice was incredibly eerie to hear.

"Well, I... Uh..." His mind went blank for a moment before he decided to spit out the truth. "I was... Supposed to have a detention class, but the teacher that was supposed to watch over me, got sick. Therefore they changed my punishment to help the cleaners cleaning up after school..." Just some part of it though. Not the entire truth of what happened because... Yeah, who would believe it. Even worse, Martha might actually thought that he took some kind of drug and got high.

But even with all the story he had told, Martha is still giving an expression as if she's waiting for the next part of the story. "And then?"

Shit, yeah... That's too short. He thought. Well, let's make up another excuse, shall we...?

"Then, I went to Henry's for a while to talk about our homework. Not too long then, I... Went home, here... Now."

For a short moment, it was completely silent in the living room. Beck was already sweating on his head.

Right after the moment of silence, Martha released a sigh. "Go to sleep. It's getting late already." She got up and walk towards the kitchen. "Make sure to notify me first if you ever have to be late again. And don't you dare drugs!"

Beck was kind of taken aback by that. "Why would I do drugs?" He literally can't find a reason for himself to do it.

"How would I know? Ask yourself."

Beck was taken aback yet again, confused. He walks up the stairs with the sense of confusion in his head, onward to his room.

Back on Laynt, Valenicry tribe. Roxza was just telling the elder of what happened to Beck, about his sudden disappearance.

"I see... He jumped again. Here I am, can just hope that he doesn't ended up somewhere worse." The elder voiced out her worry.

. . .

The sun has risen as the sunlight shone through the window and bashing on Beck's face. He was woken up by the sunlight, but just just decided to turned over and cover his face from it.

"Wake your arse up!" Martha pulled Beck's blanket off of him. "Even it's weekend, doesn't mean you should be sleeping all the time. Go do something else." She told Beck before leaving the room.

Beck, with his sleepy face and heavy eyes, was just staring at the wall blankly for a short moment before stretching his body and yawned loudly. And continue on staring at the wall for another while.

The faucet was turned and Beck jumped into the shower, taking a cold shower in the morning. Brr... That was a mistake... So frickin' cold... He went to the sink to brush his teeth, but his arms were freezing cold to even pull it away from his body. It took him 5 minute of nothing to finally manage to bring his hand to grab the toothbrush. Now I understand why some people don't even take shower... But I must say that it's a gross habit. So, make sure to take a shower at least once a day, readers.

Soon after he finished his shower and put on his clothes, he went down in hurry. "I'm going out."

"Sure. Careful out there." Robert Allen, his father said.

And, he's out. Training time!

Just behind the neighborhood, there is a woods thick enough for a bear to live at. But there's never been a sighting of a bear or any kind of deadly animals there. So... It's safe.

After taking a little walk from his home, Beck looks to his surrounding to ensure that there's no eyes looking at him as he enters the woods. Fortunately for him, the road was empty. He steps into the wood casually and quickly running deeper before anyone spots him.

There was no need for him to get so deep into the woods. So, he stops after running a while. His eyes was thrown to the back, ensuring that there's no one follows behind.

Good. Now let's start the training for real.

He observe his surrounding for a moment, to look for a comfortable spot for him to meditate. Found a spot, and he quickly laid his butt and sit cross legged with both hands on his knees. He close his eyes and concentrating on improving his focus towards mastering the art of instant transport, also known as teleportation.

I can feel it... I can feel...

"The cringiness of this thing." He let out a sigh. "What am I thinking... This isn't some kind of Chinese manhua. Cultivating by sitting leg crossed? Do it in action is the right way!" A message to himself so that he won't just sitting around, and eventually fall asleep. "Guess now, I have to learn Roxza's way."

A pocket knife was brought out from his pocket as he uses it to carves a mark on one of the tree. Aight. This will be the thing that I need to get through.I hope I didn't get to somewhere unknown again...

Took a while for him to make a visible mark to differentiate the trees. "Aighty. Now we're ready."
