"The effect of the Book of the Solar Eclipse, cover the Rose Vine!"
The red-covered book appeared on the field, its pages slowly turning. The red sun, gradually devoured by darkness, hung high in the sky, casting a cold and eerie light that revealed a sinister shadow.
Under this devouring dark sun, the vines seemed hypnotized, falling into a deep sleep and becoming a face-down Monster Card. At the same time, Mr. T's King Kong on the field also fell asleep, crouching down to become a face-down card.
The Book of the Solar Eclipse not only covered Yugen's vines to dissolve the triple attack but also covered King Kong preparing for the next attack. When King Kong flips, it can destroy any two cards on the field, akin to the powerful explosive card effect of the Sword Fighting Beast Caesar.
And because the Rose Vine was covered, the equipped target monster was lost, causing the Equipment Magic "Power of the Guardian" in Yugen's backfield to shatter into pieces with a snap.
"Just one card dissolved this formation, not bad, you don't seem that bad after all," Yugen laughed.
Mr. T was indifferent to his mockery, also laughing: "Oh, you still have the mind to tease and mock— is this the confidence of a King?"
He wanted to see if this person could remain just as composed when pushed to the brink.
"Activate the Magic Card 'Heaven and Earth's Treasure Scroll,'" Yugen said, "In a turn of Upper-level Summon, draw two cards from the deck. However, cards drawn through this effect cannot be used this turn, and if there is a cover condition, at least one card must be covered on the field."
Yugen drew another card from his hand.
"Cover one more card, end the turn."
Yugen followed with a smile, "The Book of the Solar Eclipse isn't just effective for covering monsters, right?"
Mr. T snorted, "During the end phase of the turn after the Book of the Solar Eclipse is activated, all face-down monsters on the opponent's field become face-up defense position. And for each monster affected by this effect, the opponent draws one card from the deck."
On Yugen's field, there was only the Rose Vine, thus the Rose Vine turned from face-down to face-up.
"I draw one card."
Yugen drew another card.
In fact, in the previous life's card player circle, this Book of the Solar Eclipse had a famous scene. It was in a final match of the Yu-Gi-Oh! world championship, where a player used the "Book of the Solar Eclipse," yet both players forgot to manage the flip at the end of the turn and the opponent's card-draw effect.
More amusingly, even the judge seemed to forget about it, until after many rounds of play, they suddenly remembered there was such a matter. But because many turns of the duel had already passed, reversing was no longer feasible, so both players agreed to let it be and continue as it was.
Though everyone takes Ousama's mis-speaking as a joke, in fact, mis-speaking has always been a traditional skill not to be missed in Yu-Gi-Oh!, even up to today's world championships, there are still cases of mis-speaking.
The essence of mis-speaking is nothing more than using one's speaking skills to convince the opponent. As long as you speak in a way that leaves the opponent speechless and believing your words, then rules become a mere cloud.
Modern games do have mis-speaking, albeit with higher difficulty than in the initial generation. The mis-speaker also needs to be extremely familiar with K language, knowing possible loopholes in rules and possibly controversial effect management.
As long as you can convince both the opponent and the judge simultaneously, you become the absolute rule. Although the difficulty is higher, essentially it is no different from the days when Ousama wreaked havoc across Duel Kingdom.
Mr. T said: "My turn, draw."
"Activate the Magic Card 'Pot of Greed,' draw two cards from the deck."
Mr. T drew cards, then squinted his eyes behind the sunglasses while thinking.
Later he said: "Flip the face-down 'Gravel Rock King Kong' once again, turning into face-up defense position."
The Cover Card flipped over again, the dark rock giant ape stood up again, roared twice, and pounded its chest with its fists.

"When King Kong flips, destroy up to two cards on the field!"
Mr. T paused for two seconds, then pointed his finger towards Yugen's field.
"Destroy 'Rose Vine' and the Continuous Magic 'World Tree'!"
At this moment, Yugen only mentioned that the World Tree can accumulate indicators through monster destruction, but did not specify the effect. Yet he instinctively felt this card was dangerous, perhaps a key to some combo, and needed to be dealt with first.
"Then at this moment, the Trap has already been activated," Yugen said, "Trap Card 'Pandora's Treasure Scroll'
The Cover Card in the backfield flipped open, at the same moment the trap bizarrely swapped positions with the World Tree locked by King Kong, appearing under King Kong's punch wind coverage.
"Pandora's Treasure Scroll can only be activated when a card in one's Magic Trap Area becomes the target of a card effect," Yugen said, "Transfer that effect's target to this card, and draw two cards from the deck."
King Kong's mighty punch immediately attacked sideways, forcibly transferred onto this trap. The punch originally heading towards the World Tree instantly smashed the trap.
Of course, simultaneously crushing the Rose Vine in the front field.
Yugen said: "I draw two more cards."
Meanwhile, a light indicator on the World Tree already lit up.
"Due to Plant Race monsters destroyed on the field, the World Tree gains a 'flower indicator.'
Failing to destroy the intended target, Mr. T frowned in displeasure, but then made another play from his hand: "Next, activate the Magic Card 'Double Attack.'"
This card allows discarding a monster from the hand, enabling a monster on one's field with lower Level than the discarded monster to attack twice in a turn."
Mr. T discarded a monster from his hand.
"I discard the 9-star 'Prison Fire Emperor' from my hand, allowing Gravel Rock King Kong to attack twice this turn!"
Yugen laughed: "Even with this, you still prioritize destroying my monster and Continuous Magic, do you look down on my Cover Card in the backfield this much?"
Mr. T snorted coldly: "Because there's no need.
Enter the battle phase. At this moment I activate this card..."
He raised his hand and yet another Magic Card was played.
"Activate the Magic Card 'Sealing Arrow'!"
This card can only be activated at the beginning of the battle phase, and during the activation, no other card effects can be chained to it.
Once this card activates, until the end of the turn neither player can activate any Magic or Trap Cards!"
Yugen understood: "I see. No wonder you disregard my Cover Card in the backfield..."
Mr. T wore a delighted expression: "Exactly, no matter what you cover, it's meaningless. In the face of the Sealing Arrow, your Cover Card is completely a sham.
Go, King Kong!"
King Kong roared, seemingly in response to its owner's command.
"Direct attack on the Duel King!"
The powerful fist of King Kong swept down, carrying the sound of moving through the air, like thunder, crashing down directly. The Sealing Arrows pinned the remaining Cover Card in the backfield into a hedgehog, pinning it down immovably.
The elegant Vampire Princess giggled lightly in Yugen's ear: "Do I have to help again, Master?"
"Yes, please," Yugen smiled, "I'll reward you well when we go back tonight."
Saying this, the card was already drawn from his hand.
"During the opponent's attack declaration, special summon 'Vampire Princess' from the hand in defense position."
The pale Vampire bearing an umbrella elegantly landed, lazily yawning.
"Master really knows how to use people."
