One of the underground markets belonging to the Dark Web.
As Yugen said, Sogawa was indeed a friendly person. When he got to the interrogation room, he was straightforward and answered every question with full cooperation.
But having said that, Yugen found that everyone he met was actually like this. Even those who initially showed a tough stance and did not cooperate would generally ease up after exchanging a Dark Duel.
Perhaps this is what they call the charm of dueling. No wonder everyone in the animation said they use dueling to make friends.
Yugen, or rather Revolver now, arrived at the entrance of this underground market. This was the address Sogawa had provided, where he took the commission this time.
This wasn't his first time at the underground black market of the Dark Web. They say unfamiliar the first time, familiar the second; now he's quite experienced. However, last time he came with the intention to buy information, while this time he came with a clear objective from the beginning.
This time, he's here to stir things up.
Yugen stood before the thick door, reached out and knocked a few times.
The door quickly opened.
A guard with a fierce face appeared at the doorway. He looked at the person outside, with the white trench coat and dark glass mask, such a distinctive appearance...
The guard's pupils contracted in surprise.
"You... Revolver!?"
"Oh, seems like I'm quite famous." Yugen smiled, "That's good. I have something to discuss with your manager, let me in to chat."
"They all say you're a lunatic, and you really are." The guard shook his head incredulously, "You trashed the place of the Dark Web, and now you're on the wanted list, dude.
And here you are voluntarily coming to the doorstep, truly a madman... I can't let you in, dude. If I let someone from the wanted list in, my job would be over, go back."
With that, he slammed the door shut, leaving Yugen outside.
Well, to be fair, this guard was already more polite than Yugen expected.
Therefore, Yugen decided to spare this guard's life at least later.
"Thousand Gold, can you help me open this door?"
The Vampire Princess floated out, shook her head, then looked at him wistfully.
"If you let me taste a bit of your blood, I could give it a try."
Yugen was taken aback, and then realized she meant her Attack Power was only six hundred, pretty useless. However, if her master let her suck blood, she could temporarily boost her Attack Power.
Because the silence seemed so powerful, Yugen thought all Elves were like 'the neighbor girl growing up, pulling mountains and overpowering the world.'
"Uh, alright. Then Soga?"
The Artificial Human rigidly appeared overhead as soon as her master called her name, her palms crossed, and she fired a telekinetic energy ball.
Boom!
The door was violently blasted open.
Behind the door, the guard was knocked to the ground by the shock wave, and through the swirling dust, he watched Yugen swagger in, stunned for several seconds before muttering.
"You truly are a madman..."
...
...
Deep in the underground market.
A boy, roughly in his teens, was tied to a chair with his hands behind him, his face blue and swollen, obviously having suffered a tough time.
A man in a suit circled the chair slowly, his voice gentle yet laced with danger.
That man was the manager of the Dark Web market here, Unabara Ryusuke.
"Your old man is certainly a tough one, kid."
Unabara Ryusuke circled to the back of the chair, pressing his hands on the backrest, his head popping out from the boy's shoulder.
"The Dark Web is interested in your club, which should be an honor for you. Frankly, normally the Dark Web doesn't deal with clubs of your level, nor holds much esteem for your local business.
The reason we're giving you this chance is purely because I personally admire your old man.
He made a name from scratch without any background, founded the Dark Duelist club, and developed a black market business locally. Very commendable. The spirit of striving hard is what I appreciate most.
But your constant refusal of my goodwill, that I can't understand."
The bruised boy shook his head.
"Dad says that's... cough cough... is proof of his struggle with his original brothers, it binds them together. It's not about the money; he can't sell it..."
"Ha."
Unabara Ryusuke laughed dryly, then shook his head with regret.
"That's truly unfortunate, means he thinks our friendship doesn't match up to his original brothers?"
"No, it's not like that. He just... uh ah ah ah!"
Strong current coursed through the chair and the boy, causing him to nearly convulse.
A moment later, the current stopped. The boy was pale, sweating profusely, panting heavily in the chair.
Unabara Ryusuke dragged a chair in front of the boy and sat down with a smile.
"Well, I think you certainly can help him change his mind, right?"
The boy hadn't recovered yet, unable to speak due to the paralysis from the electric shock. But he nodded desperately.
"I... I'll try my best..."
"Try your best?"
"No, no, definitely, I definitely will persuade him," the boy said pitiably.
"Oh, how would you talk to him then?" Unabara Ryusuke smiled.
"I'll tell him... Mr. Unabara's friendship is more important. From now on the club will be yours..."
"Hahaha, see, aren't you quite smart now?"
Unabara Ryusuke laughed heartily, patting him on the back.
"Then from now on, your dad and I are brothers, you can call me uncle..."
As he was saying this, the door opened. A woman with a full peach-shaped figure strode in quickly, wearing high heels.
Unabara Ryusuke frowned unhappily: "What did I say? I'm discussing important things with my good nephew, don't interrupt for anything..."
"I'm really sorry, sir, but we have trouble."
The woman said urgently, handing over a tablet.
Unabara Ryusuke took it, immediately realizing it was a live surveillance video from their market.
A man was barging in through the front door. His side blurred silhouette seemed to have an Elf in accompaniment, yet the blurry resolution didn't show what the Elf looked like, only the market security team was thrown into chaos.
Even several Duelists stood to fight but were promptly defeated in three moves. The man was unstoppable, with screams following in his wake.
Unabara Ryusuke frowned: "Revolver?"
He's heard of this guy. A newly appeared Duelist, a madman. Previously there's been talk of another Dark Web facility being wrecked by this man, and now he's on the Dark Web blacklist.
If the Dark Web doesn't bother him, yet he's proactively come to stir trouble.
Push his luck, isn't he?
"Sir?" the woman asked cautiously.
"Hmph."
Unabara Ryusuke handed the tablet back to the woman, glanced at the boy tied to the chair behind him.
"Keep an eye on him. I'll personally go meet with that Revolver."
