The Hydreigon, having dominated this region for countless years, held treasures in its lair that Natsuhiko couldn't help but believe existed.
"Leave this to us."
As Ono spoke, she summoned her Kommo-o, patting the thick scales on its body, "Awu."
The Kommo-o had just emerged from the cramped space of its Pokeball and couldn't help but take a deep breath.
Then it nodded slightly towards Ono.
The next moment.
"Roar——!!"
A roar accompanied by the violent tremor of its own metal-like thick scales echoed throughout the entire canyon, a terrifying and imposing sound.
The Dragon Energy surged wildly, making Latios envious.
This roar from the Kommo-o, among Dragon-type Pokémon, was a blatant taunt, a Dragon-type Pokémon's move to seize territory, claiming its domain.
Such an audacious act could not be tolerated by the Hydreigon, the absolute overlord of this area.
"Roar——!!"
The answering roar of the Hydreigon echoed, and dust storms rolled in with the cry.
Compared to the Kommo-o, this sound was even more imposing and carried with it a sense of Anger.
How many years had it been?
How many years since the Hydreigon had heard such a declaration of war?
And yet, it was so close to its own dwelling.
Soon.
In the distance of the canyon.
A shadow flew out from the cliffside.
Accompanied by the wind waves from its three pairs of wings.
It flew towards their direction menacingly.
The scales of the Kommo-o shivered and quivered violently with the sound.
Its expression was extremely serious, and its fists were clenched unconsciously.
Not only the Kommo-o, but also Natsuhiko's Pokémon, whether it was Beedrill, Alakazam, Togekiss, or Aegislash, were all tense.
Though the target had always been the Hydreigon during this time.
Yet, when they really faced it again, the pressure came like a tidal wave.
"Just follow what I taught you earlier," Natsuhiko said to Ono, and then had no time to worry about her anymore.
To Natsuhiko, the presence of Ono and Kommo-o was not an absolute necessity.
Pokeballs flew out one after another.
In the red light.
Snorlax, Bewear, Oranguru, Audino, and the newly captured Hatterene were all summoned.
This battle, Natsuhiko held nothing back.
However.
Audino, Steelix, and Hatterene hadn't had much practice with Oranguru and Snorlax.
Natsuhiko also hadn't had the chance to give them much battle experience.
So the most critical part of this battle was still relying on the four main Pokémon.
As the Hydreigon approached, they were already preparing.
Each using techniques to enhance their abilities.
"Roar——!!"
The Hydreigon recognized Alakazam and Beedrill almost instantly.
Its face filled with a sinister look.
The anger from not having captured them the last time surged forth.
It approached at an even faster pace.
"Audino, Foggy Arena."
"Buduo!"
Towards the Hydreigon, Alakazam's Psychic Arena had little effect; Audino's "Foggy Arena" was key to restricting the Hydreigon.
Here it comes again!
That feeling, like being submerged in water, feeling restricted everywhere.
The Hydreigon had learned from last time.
When it got close enough.
The three heads glowed with red, blue, and yellow light simultaneously, launching a Triple Attack with different additional effects raining down.
The ground it passed over turned to dust.
"Oranguru, Illusion Space."
"Snorlax, Instant Amnesia."
Two more commands rang out.
A black transparent space barrier expanded, coincidentally enveloping the Hydreigon and numerous Pokémon.
Alakazam's psychic power surged, instantly switching positions with Snorlax.
Like a wall, Snorlax braced its belly, clearing chaotic thoughts from its mind, and its Special Defense Ability soared.
Boom!!
The "Triple Attack" hit Snorlax directly, and its heavy body was pushed back repeatedly, leaving deep grooves in the ground.
"Ka-mu!"
Snorlax cried out in pain.
Even with the blessing of "Instant Amnesia," and though it excelled in Special Defense, the Hydreigon's anger-infused "Triple Attack" almost knocked Snorlax unconscious with pain.
Fortunately.
Audino's timely "Healing Fluctuation" helped alleviate Snorlax's pain.
And Snorlax, not daring to hesitate, once more performed "Instant Amnesia" under Natsuhiko's command.
Thanks to the existence of "Illusion Space," its speed increased significantly.
Meanwhile.
Snorlax's blocking of the attack provided Beedrill enough time to close in on the Hydreigon.
Bzzzz——
Alakazam's eyes emitted psychic energy again, incredibly, one more time executing "Illusion Space."
It's well known that the "Illusion Space" technique, if executed before the previous space's duration ends, would cancel it.
At the instant when "Illusion Space" vanished.
Beedrill, clad in rainbow energy, soared into the sky.
Amidst golden electric arcs, the Super Beedrill appeared, further increasing its speed, targeting the Hydreigon.
But the Hydreigon, having not fully adjusted to the new "Illusion Space," suddenly experienced a speed change, causing it to lose control and charge forward, colliding directly with the oncoming Super Beedrill.
