Chapter 1013 - Chapter 496: Mokgetsu's Daily Life

After leaving the Hokage Building, Mokgetsu returned to his house in the Main Konoha District.

He created a Shadow Clone to clean up the house, then Mokgetsu used Observation to start searching for Kushina's location.

Before leaving the battlefield, Minato had written a letter and asked him to give it to Kushina when he had the chance.

"Seems like my luck is pretty good." Mokgetsu found that Kushina was right on the shopping street.

If Kushina were indoors instead of in the Uzumaki Fuinjutsu house, it would be a bit more troublesome for Mokgetsu to find her.

Because not only is Kushina the Nine-tailed Jinchuriki, but she is also a Jinchuriki who is training to master Tailed Beast Power, where she lives is highly confidential and not easily accessible.

Even though Mokgetsu holds significant status in the Anbu, he still has to apply through Anbu to Sarutobi Hiruzen before he can go there.

But if Kushina is out shopping, it's much simpler; Mokgetsu can "bump into her" by chance.

After all, the Main Konoha District is not that large, and running into someone isn't unusual, it's not like he runs into Kushina every day.

Using Observation to constantly track Kushina's location, Mokgetsu strolled like a regular person, slowly approaching Kushina's location.

"This light red dress looks quite nice, it matches our hair color well."

When Mokgetsu reached the shopping street, Kushina was in a clothing store picking out clothes, and it's worth noting that Kushina wasn't shopping alone; by her side was Uzumaki Karei, who Mokgetsu had previously brought from the Land of Grass.

"Kushina, Karei, long time no see." Mokgetsu put on a surprised expression and raised a hand to greet the two.

Upon hearing the familiar voice, Kushina put down the light red dress in her hand, quickly turned around, and looked.

"It has indeed been a while, by the way, Mokgetsu, are you still studying Fuinjutsu? You were clearly in Konoha recently, yet you didn't come to me for guidance on Fuinjutsu." Kushina put on a stern teacher's expression.

Kushina can easily know whether Mokgetsu is in Konoha, because if Mokgetsu is in Konoha, she has at least one meal cooked by Mokgetsu every day.

If she doesn't eat Mokgetsu's cooking for two or three consecutive days, it means Mokgetsu is either out on a mission or has gone to the battlefield.

"I've been studying, but there hasn't been anything worth asking you about." Mokgetsu explained.

In fact, Mokgetsu's current skill level in Fuinjutsu is on par with Kushina's, and he's worried that his questions might confuse her.

All of Mokgetsu's other abilities come from the system, but Fuinjutsu is the one skill he genuinely has a high talent for and learned by himself bit by bit.

He just doesn't know whether it's a talent from his original being, or a change from the fusion of his soul after he transmigrated.

"Don't underestimate small problems; they can pile up and waste a lot of time. Besides, I'm not very busy." Kushina said, crossing her arms.

Having eaten Mokgetsu's cooking regularly, Kushina wants to repay Mokgetsu, as a good friend shouldn't freeload every day.

"Teacher Kushina is absolutely right."

Mokgetsu smiled and nodded, planning to discuss simpler problems with Kushina in the future.

"Lord Mokgetsu." Uzumaki Karei greeted Mokgetsu with a look of respect.

Karei is very grateful to Mokgetsu.

Mokgetsu not only saved her but also brought her to a peaceful place like Konoha to live.

He even assisted her in applying for subsidies, solving the most pressing issues of food and housing in a new place, truly helping her to the end.

"Why attach 'Lord'? Just call me Mokgetsu, it's like I'm some sort of bigshot." Kushina teased.

"But isn't Lord Mokgetsu indeed some kind of bigshot?" Karei looked confused.

"It seems like everyone in Konoha is talking about him, and some people say there's a high chance Lord Mokgetsu could become Hokage in the future."

Kushina was left speechless; upon thinking it over, it seemed true.

Mokgetsu is no longer just the Ninja School teacher at Chunin or Special Jonin rank from the past.

Nowadays, Mokgetsu's made a highly notable name for himself on the battlefield, served as a commander for the Ninja Squad, and achieved distinguished accomplishments multiple times in battle.

Considering Mokgetsu's achievements and strength for Konoha, it's fair to say he's a big shot.

The Sannin weren't as accomplished as Mokgetsu is at his age.

"We're all peers around the same age, no need to be so formal." Mokgetsu shook his head and laughed.

Adding titles to names is fine, but adding 'Lord' is something Mokgetsu isn't used to.

"Right, these formalities aren't necessary." Kushina agreed with a nod.

She knew Mokgetsu wouldn't care about these things; otherwise, he wouldn't keep making her meals.

A sudden thought hit Kushina as she scrutinized Mokgetsu.

"I haven't bought clothes for Minato in a while, and you and Minato are about the same size, how about helping me try on some clothes?" Kushina suggested with a spark of inspiration.

"I'm one centimeter taller than Minato, it'd be better if he tried them himself." Mokgetsu declined.

He's 1.80 meters tall, while Minato is 1.79 meters.

"A one-centimeter difference shouldn't matter, right?"

"Mainly, it's unnecessary; if nothing unexpected happens, Minato might return to Konoha soon." Mokgetsu explained.

With the Jinchuriki seriously injured and the squad suffering over eighty percent casualties, their battle practically crippled the Hidden Rock Squad in the Land of Grass.

If the Hidden Rock doesn't immediately dispatch more troops to the Land of Grass, Konoha's Ninja Squad could enjoy a period of rest.

By then, a ninja like Namikaze Minato, who's spent considerable time on the battlefield, could return to Konoha to rest.

"Really?" Kushina's eyes lit up.
