Monday, after Obito finished washing up, he quickly created a Shadow Clone and said:
"You go to school, or else you'll be late."
"Heh, you want to trick me into taking the exam so you can slack off? You think I don't know today is the final exam?" the Shadow Clone sneered.
Being Obito as well, he could guess what his original body was thinking without a second thought.
"Anyway, you're the one who usually goes to school, so the theory exam is up to you." Noticing that he couldn't bluff his way through, Obito clearly stated his stance.
"Going to school is to give Teacher Mokgetsu face, but you can forget about the exam." The Shadow Clone also stated his position; doing the test papers was out of the question.
"If I take the exam, we'll both suffer, but if you take it, only one of us will." The Shadow Clone analyzed rationally.
Obito felt persuaded for a moment; it seemed reasonable.
Obito had to dispel the Shadow Clone and then grumbled, "Damn Senju Tobirama, this Shadow Clone technique is not useful at all!"
With the clone exam plan failed, Obito had no choice but to have breakfast and head to school for the exam.
On the way, Obito encountered a few familiar first-year juniors because they were Mokgetsu Squad students and had attended summer training together, so he remembered a few.
"Good morning, Obito-senpai," Kotetsu, Izumo, and Anko greeted Obito.
"Good morning to you too." Obito smiled and greeted back.
"Obito-senpai, you seem a bit unhappy today. Did something happen?" Izumo asked.
"Could it be because of today's exam?" Kotetsu speculated.
"Sort of, I'm not very good at theory exams." Obito nodded.
"Oh, Obito-senpai, you're also not good at theory? Me too." Anko seemed to have found a kindred spirit.
"Those theoretical concepts are so hard to memorize. It's normal not to be good at them." Obito felt a sense of familiarity with Anko, as if seeing his own reflection.
"Actually, we also..." Kotetsu and Izumo tried to join in.
"Obito-senpai, don't let these two trick you. They're great at theory; they got perfect scores the time before last, and in the last exam, they scored ninety-eight and ninety-seven." Anko mercilessly exposed their lie.
"Perfect scores? Are you geniuses?" Obito was shocked. How can people actually get perfect scores? Shouldn't the human limit be sixty points?
"No, no, just a bit more revision than usual," Kotetsu admitted. Shisui was the real genius.
"They're too mean, always bullying me for scoring low on theory." Anko said with her hands on her hips and cheeks puffed out.
"Obito-senpai, how much do you usually score? It should be over eighty, right?" Anko asked, thinking Obito must perform better than her, only scoring seventy-eight.
"Uh, how much do you usually score?" Obito felt this kindred spirit wasn't quite right, and the sense of familiarity vanished instantly.
"Don't laugh when I tell you, Obito-senpai. My scores are terrible and keep dropping. I only got eighty the first time, and last time it dropped to seventy-eight." Anko sighed.
In Mokgetsu Squad, not many score as low as her, so Anko felt that scoring below seventy-eight was unlikely.
"I think I see someone familiar up ahead; let's chat later." After hearing this, Obito scanned the area and quickly jogged forward.
"Guy, wait for me." Obito didn't want to stay near Anko and the others any longer; every extra second felt like a Kunai piercing his heart.
Eighty points are terrible, more revision and a perfect score. After hearing this, Obito nearly fell into the illusion that exams are easy. If he hadn't scored over seventy, he'd almost believe it.
"My first exam was only twenty points!" Obito compared his initial score and silently screamed in his heart; if he got eighty, he'd advertise it by sticking the paper on his shirt.
"Another morning full of youthful spirit." Might Guy raised a thumb with a hearty smile to Obito.
"Guy, are you confident about this exam?" Seeing Guy in high spirits, Obito asked.
"Right, today's the exam." Guy's raised thumb suddenly drooped, and his smile froze.
Seeing Guy like this, Obito breathed a sigh of relief and smiled contentedly. This felt right; those first-year juniors were not normal at all.
…
On the first day of the theory exam, Mokgetsu, although not invigilating, wandered around the exam hall several times. On the second day, Mokgetsu went to the second exam hall for Class 4, which was Obito and Rin's class.
Mokgetsu primarily went to see Rin's performance in the practical exam.
Among Mokgetsu's students, Rin was the weakest and couldn't match Might Guy and Obito. She wasn't even a match for some of the students in their class.
Now Mokgetsu taught Rin the Monster Strength Power technique and strengthened her Taijutsu. He felt that Rin's performance should be better and she wouldn't lose to anyone but Might Guy and Obito now.
Rin became Mokgetsu's disciple during summer training, so it's been almost five months now.
"Teacher Mokgetsu." Ueda Aya greeted Mokgetsu, as she was responsible for Class 4 Year 2's invigilation this time.
"Director Mokgetsu." The other invigilating teacher, not as familiar with Mokgetsu, added his title.
