Chapter 79 - Chapter 79: Grouped Instruction

Namiashi Raido returned to the group looking sullen.

He wasn't upset about losing, because Shisui's displayed strength was truly formidable; he was no match.

But he felt frustrated about losing; a formal Genin like him was defeated by a student who had just entered Ninja School, and he lost so cleanly and decisively.

"This Uchiha Shisui is too strong, he even defeated a formal Genin. Even if Kakashi were to face him, he might not do better, right?"

"There's also another possibility, it's the opponent..."

Upon hearing the Ninja School students nearby discussing him, Namiashi Raido felt even more humiliated.

As soon as Namiashi Raido returned, he saw Asuma's face filled with an uncontrollable smile.

"Asuma, do you know something?" Namiashi Raido asked, looking at Asuma suspiciously.

He thought about it carefully, and something seemed off.

Previously when Asuma brought them in for special training, he mentioned that Mokgetsu was his tutor. So, it was possible that Asuma knew about a genius named Uchiha Shisui in Mokgetsu's squad.

"What do you mean, know what?" Asuma played dumb, saying.

"How would I know that first-year student was so impressive, taking you down in just a few moves."

Hearing Asuma's words, Namiashi Raido felt like he was hit again; being taken down by a first-year student in just a few moves was indeed embarrassing.

"Everyone, quiet down." Mokgetsu pressed his palm downward, signaling everyone to stop discussing.

"We have students from first to fourth year here, as well as some graduated Genin. You're all from the same village, and I hope you can get along harmoniously."

"Soon, I will conduct a strength test and then divide you into groups for special training. There are a total of three groups: A, B, and C, and each group will receive different special training." Mokgetsu answered the question Namiashi Raido had earlier.

With so many students from different grades and some graduated Genin, Mokgetsu couldn't teach everyone the same thing, so he chose to teach them in groups.

After all, it's all within the same training ground; he could teach one group and then move to another group, with the assistance of Shadow Clones, treating the three groups as three students.

The strength test was also quite simple: letting students demonstrate their basic ninja skills in Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, and shuriken throwing, and then the teachers would score them.

Mokgetsu called over some teachers from different classes, and within one class session, more than three hundred students' scores and specific groupings were completed.

Mokgetsu positioned Group A as the group at Genin level, prepared for graduated Genin and outstanding Ninja School students; the main special training contents are chakra control, physical strength, and Taijutsu, along with Instant Body Jutsu.

Group B consists of outstanding students within the school, primarily focusing on Three-Body Jutsu, chakra control, physical strength, and Taijutsu.

Group C consists of ordinary students in the school, with similar content to Group B but with lighter teaching and relatively less training volume.

Mokgetsu glanced at Group A's roster and immediately saw many familiar names.

Obito, Shisui, Might Guy, needless to say, and then Asuma, Yuhi Kurenai, Shiranui Genma, Shizune...

For those who made it into Group A, aside from Shisui, most of them were either Genin or students ranking in their fourth-grade year.

As for Group B, Mokgetsu only saw three acquaintances, one is Ebisu, another is Gekkou Hayate, and there's Nohara Rin.

Ebisu's performance was a bit awkward; he was quite good compared to others in Group B but was somewhat worse than those in Group A, and Gekkou Hayate had just entered his third year.

Anko, Hagane Kotetsu, and Kamizuki Izumo, these three hard-luck brothers, were placed in Group C because the assessment for excellence and regularity followed the fourth-grade standard.

Though the three could control lightning in their first year, by fourth-grade standards, they were just ordinary.

First, Mokgetsu went to the area where Group A was located and said:

"Those of you who have completed the water-walking and tree-climbing training, stand on the right; those who have only completed the tree-climbing training, stand on the left; those who haven't completed any, stand in the middle."

Most people moved to the left, a few stood on the right, and very few stood in the middle.

Immediately afterwards, he had those standing on the left try tree-climbing again and those on the right try water-walking.

Looking at the students in training, Mokgetsu roughly understood the level of chakra control among the Group A students.

Obito, Asuma, Shisui, and Might Guy no longer needed to practice water-walking, but the others still had to practice.

"What you have done doesn't count as completing the training, it's just learning a little bit." Mokgetsu said to a student who was climbing the tree.

Immediately, Mokgetsu had Obito demonstrate what it meant to complete tree-climbing and water-walking training.

Obito rushed up the tree, and with his feet firmly attached to the branches, he spun 360 degrees over a dozen times with his soles firmly adhering to the branches.

Immediately afterward, Obito performed on the water's surface, freely sprinting under the interference of the Water Dragon Bomb.

"Only at this level can it be said that you have completed the training." Mokgetsu pointed at Obito and said.

"Currently, only Asuma, Shisui, and Obito among you can achieve this level."

Namiashi Raido refused to believe it and went to challenge it but ended up drinking water before making it to three minutes.

"Can Asuma do it?" Namiashi Raido felt that Mokgetsu might have overestimated Asuma's strength.

"Raido, don't underestimate me. My chakra control ability is quite strong." Seeing that his good friend didn't believe him, Asuma also went down to showcase his skills.

"Why does it feel like Asuma has secretly become stronger..." Namiashi Raido wondered as he watched Asuma's steadfast performance amidst the waves.

"Asuma, you seem to have gotten better." Yuhi Kurenai said honestly.

"Haha, it's just average, really, it's all basic skills." Hearing Yuhi Kurenai's praise, Asuma's smile couldn't be erased.

He suddenly felt that all the water he drank during Mokgetsu's training wasn't in vain.

"Chakra control ability is a ninja's required course. I hope all of you will be able to stand on the right side in two weeks' time." After demonstrating a few times, Mokgetsu said to the students in Group A.

Next, Mokgetsu went over to Group B and asked the same question again.

However, the situation in Group B was different. Only Ebisu stood on the right, most were in the middle, and a small number were on the left.

Mokgetsu had them display their chakra control ability; they were much worse compared to Group A. Except for Ebisu, he had everyone else undergo tree-climbing training, while Ebisu continued with water-walking practice.

As for Group C, Mokgetsu didn't continue asking; instead, he directly began teaching Taijutsu to Group C.

The training plan for Group C involves physical strength training and Taijutsu practice in the morning, followed by Three-Body Jutsu training in the afternoon. Once these two catch up, they can proceed with chakra control training.

Mokgetsu left a Shadow Clone in each group while his real self roamed between the groups, demonstrating and correcting any student's incorrect training.

Soon, the morning passed, and Mokgetsu also announced the end of class, entering lunch break time.
