Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The Potential of Might Guy and Obito

"Hey, how's the situation, bro?"

"Not good. My annoying cousin actually threatened me, saying that if I spill the beans about him, he'd tell Mie next door about how I wet the bed when I was three!" Kotetsu gritted his teeth, cursing his cousin's despicable behavior.

How could their business drag little Mie from next door into it, ruining his shining image? Truly repugnant!

"I've got a plan. Take advantage of being young and use playing as an excuse to mess up your cousin's room. Even if you made the mess, if it's not cleaned up in time, your cousin will be the one to suffer. Do this a few times, and let's see how cocky he can be!"

After thinking for a bit, Izumo came up with a brilliant idea.

Kotetsu's eyes immediately lit up, stating that with Izumo's strategies, he could definitely be as unbeatable as the First Hokage with Tobirama's strategies. If successful, he'd definitely treat them to snacks.

As Mokgetsu walked into the classroom, he overheard this conversation between these two schemers, and couldn't help but smile.

"Let's start the class!" Mokgetsu walked to the podium and directly began the lesson.

"Chakra is the prerequisite for using Ninjutsu, produced by the combination of physical energy and spiritual ability."

The students below listened attentively, as this was a crucial foundation.

While explaining, Mokgetsu occasionally released Chakra himself for everyone to feel, peppering in jokes and stories during the lecturing process to keep the class from becoming dull, complemented by questions to deepen memory.

The four classes quickly flew by, and as they neared the end, Mokgetsu looked at Anko, who was grinning and constantly asking questions, and decided to give her an assessment.

[Name: Mitarashi Anko]

[Potential: A]

After considering for a moment, Mokgetsu assessed all the students in the classroom.

[Name: Hagane Kotetsu]

[Potential: B-]

[Name: Kamizuki Izumo]

[Potential: B-]

Mokgetsu was surprised to find that, except for Shisui, only four students in the entire classroom had potential rated at B or above. Besides Anko, the three he assessed, there was only one student he didn't really remember who also got a B-. The rest were all C-rated, with some at C+ and others at C-, and even some with a D.

Seeing this, Shisui's talent seemed too strong, overshadowing everyone else.

Anko's potential also somewhat surprised Mokgetsu. He recalled that Anko wasn't particularly strong in the original work, but the assessed potential was several levels higher than the two gatekeepers.

However, Mokgetsu had no immediate plans to take Anko as a student since he couldn't accept unlimited students. He only had four student slots available—one already taken by Shisui, leaving just three.

Although young Anko was cute, Mokgetsu expressed that being handsome was of no use—would Danzo let him out of Root for that reason? Clearly not.

[Lesson completed, settling account]

[Evaluation: A]

[Reward obtained: Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu]

"This Ninjutsu is quite nice, but unfortunately, it doesn't benefit me much right now," Mokgetsu thought to himself.

As a Ninjutsu that protagonist Naruto uses from start to finish, Multiple Shadow Clones is certainly a very practical technique, useful for both combat and cultivation, provided you have enough Chakra.

Only Mokgetsu was currently short on Chakra, so there was nothing he could do.

After lunch, when Mokgetsu walked into the office, several teachers were giving advice to Iketani Isamu, who was about to go on a blind date.

A tall and thin male teacher advised:

"Be sure to tidy up well before meeting and dress a bit formally, so you won't be mistaken for a slob."

"Sugihito, you're underestimating me. Although I haven't dated, isn't that just common sense?" Iketani Isamu confidently replied.

"I think what you should focus on the most is not to brag like this during the chat," Ueda Aya said, shaking her head as if already foreseeing the outcome.

"Just wait and see, Ueda," Iketani Isamu retorted after hearing Aya's remark, immediately making a bold statement.

"Hmm, I'll wait and see," Ueda Aya responded nonchalantly, quickly turning to talk with Mokgetsu upon noticing his entrance.

"Teacher Habu, you're amazing! I happened to pass by your class today and found the atmosphere impressive. It's hard to believe it's your first time teaching."

Mokgetsu shook his head modestly, "Not at all, it's all thanks to your great experience and the students behaving well."

Although she knew these were modest words, who doesn't like being praised? Aya's face lit up with a smile, and then she shared some of her snacks with Mokgetsu.

Upon witnessing this, Iketani Isamu instantly felt what it meant to be treated differently. Despite having been colleagues with Ueda for two years, he rarely tasted her snacks.

Internally grumbling about Ueda Aya, Iketani Isamu quickly greeted Mokgetsu as well—if this time's endeavor succeeded, he'd remember Mokgetsu's class coverage favor for a lifetime!

Mokgetsu cheerfully responded to everyone, exchanged a few pleasantries, and then picked up the brush and ink he had prepared to begin practicing calligraphy.

Practicing calligraphy in downtime was one of his rare good habits from his past life, developed after taking a calligraphy course in university.

Ninja School's lunch break was fairly short, leaving little time to find a place for cultivation.

Feeling it was about time for the lesson to resume, Mokgetsu tidied up and headed to the classroom to prepare for class.

Ring, ring~

At the sound of the bell, Mokgetsu coincidentally walked into Classroom 4-2.

"Hey, isn't it supposed to be Teacher Iketani's Konoha history class this afternoon?" A student questioned upon seeing it was not Iketani Isamu who walked in.

"Teacher Iketani has something this afternoon. I'll be taking this afternoon's class," Mokgetsu explained, standing at the podium.

As soon as Mokgetsu finished speaking, a hurried figure rushed into the classroom.

"Whew, sorry, teacher! I was late because I helped an old lady on the way," Obito explained, hands on his knees, panting heavily.

"Sit down and listen to the class," Mokgetsu nodded, then glanced at the students, assessing them all.

[Name: Nohara Rin]

[Chakra: 300]

[Potential: A-]

-

[Name: Might Guy]

[Chakra: 600]

[Potential: S]

[Evaluation: Suitable for Taijutsu cultivation, recommended for mentorship]

-

[Name: Uchiha Obito]

[Chakra: 650]

[Potential: S]

[Evaluation: Six Paths Bloodline, has Space-Time talent, recommended for mentorship]

Classroom 4-2 was similar to his Class 1-1; besides these three familiar faces, only Uchiha Tekka had an A-grade potential, with most others rated C or D.

After checking the talents, Mokgetsu inquired about their previous lessons and started teaching.

For students used to teachers who just read from textbooks, Mokgetsu's teaching style was a pleasant surprise.

Obito even remarked directly, "Teacher Mokgetsu, your lessons are great, much better than the others. If you keep teaching, I might actually pass."

"I'll be sure to tell Teacher Iketani, along with your tardiness," Mokgetsu said with a chuckle. Unlike other teachers at the Ninja Academy, he had been systematically trained on how to teach.

Obito immediately wore a grimace, hastily pleading for mercy, knowing Iketani Isamu was their homeroom teacher.

Obito's antics added a dose of merriment to the class atmosphere once more.

During the big break, Mokgetsu activated Perception Ninjutsu and, after confirming all was well, called Might Guy and Obito outside.
