Chapter 1158 - Chapter 1100: Thousand Gold

The brief skirmish ended, and the remaining Vampire naturally took on the task of directing the crowd and providing information.

Of course, it was evident from the recent encounter that the Vampires of this dimension weren't very friendly to outsiders. A whole bunch of Vampires would rather be defeated in cards than reveal a word, so it seemed quite difficult to force them to speak.

"Leave it to me."

It was Yubel who spoke. After the battle ended, she actively appeared and drifted into view in front of the Vampire.

The Vampire showed a surprised expression.

"When they said you betrayed the Supreme King, I didn't really believe it," he said angrily. "You are a disgrace to everyone."

"I didn't betray him; I just found the best arrangement for him... Of course, you wouldn't understand this, and I have no obligation to explain to you."

As Yubel spoke, her differently colored eyes simultaneously shone with a red glow.

It was a soul-captivating and dangerous light, like two unstoppable swords slicing through layers of obstacles directly to the deepest part of the opponent's heart.

The Vampire stopped struggling the moment he saw the bizarre light, his expression became dim, and his gaze turned hollow. He stared blankly at Yubel, as if his soul had been extracted.

"Tell me," she began to ask, "how do we leave this dimension and go to the Supreme King Castle?"

The Vampire paused for a moment before slowly turning his body and lifting his pale finger to point in a certain direction.

"Head that way... towards the castle."

"Castle?" Yubel asked.

"Her Majesty the Queen's castle," he said.

"Is the entrance to a higher dimension inside the castle?"

"Yes," said the Vampire, "it is the only entrance to the dimension where the Supreme King Castle is located. Her Majesty the Queen guards it personally. To go to that dimension, you either get her approval or conquer the entire castle."

Yubel and Youyu exchanged a glance, after receiving a signal via their eyes, she turned again to ask, "Is there no other entrance?"

"There is no other in this dimension," the Vampire said, "but perhaps you can detour to other dimensions. In other dimensions, there may be roads leading to the Supreme King Castle."

Yubel looked at Youyu again.

Youyu thought for a moment, then shook his head quickly: "No detours needed. Our time is tight, the less trouble the better. Since the target is right in front of us, let's storm straight ahead."

It's just a castle, right? Doesn't sound too difficult.

The red glow in Yubel's eyes extinguished, and the Vampire suddenly collapsed like a puppet with its strings cut.

Yubel turned to Youyu: "I understand and don't oppose your decision, but I must remind you, even in my memories, the lady here was quite formidable..."

"Are you saying I might not win?" Youyu asked.

"...I'm just saying be a bit careful."

Yubel was resigned. She wanted to be alarmist and say that even if you underestimated her, things might go awry...

...but on second thought, she herself couldn't believe such a statement, so she simply refrained.

By now, they had nearly spent an entire day in this Other Dimension. In the Winged Beast-Type dimension, they fought relentlessly and immediately rushed through many roads to reach this new dimension where another fierce battle took place (ten minutes of total destruction of the opponent).

Even though the silly players had endless energy, not everyone was like that. Especially some students whose physical stamina wasn't ordinarily outstanding, who were already quite fatigued by now.

Youyu thought for a bit and quickly made a decision.

"Let's rest here for now," he said, looking at Yusei beside him, "Yusei and I will first scout around."

In a new environment, surveying the geology and terrain, confirming the presence of any outposts or ambushes is essential.

The reason for choosing Yusei to accompany him was simple: because only the two of them had vehicles.

When they charged into the Dimension Gate by riding their vehicles, the D-Wheel naturally came along. Although they hadn't been riding them while traveling with the main group, the D-Wheel had been in the rear, and the silly players were pushing it.

It looked like they were doing the hard work, but in reality, this task was a prized one. The silly players vied eagerly, like little children who had never seen the world. One of them reacted quite dramatically, jumping onto Yusei's D-Wheel, touching it twice, then immediately fell stiffly to the side, shouting something like "Ah, I'm dead"...

Youyu and Yusei rode their D-Wheels off, while the remaining people simply found a few buildings to rest in.

This whole town had already been emptied out, so vacant rooms were the least of their worries, finding a few wind-sheltered houses to rest in was quite easy.

However, those excess-energy players clearly couldn't truly rest obediently.

As soon as the group settled down, the silly players immediately began to act.

They quickly split into teams of threes and fours with acquaintances, quickly dispersing to conduct a carpet-style sweep of the entire town.

Under the pretense of "exploring the map."

Even if any corner of the town concealed a Vampire poised to strike, they certainly couldn't escape their search.

The president of "just a sandbag" who got obliterated in the last dimension also managed to catch up with great effort, eagerly joining the map-exploration team.

This time, his teammate was the local Nora Tatsu.

Although they belonged to different guilds, having spent considerable time together on the Duel Academy island, the sandbag president and Tatsu shared a decent personal friendship.

After all, wealthy people always tended to find common ground.

The two ambled along, chatting and wandering, seemingly getting farther and farther from the main group.

Meanwhile, the sun that had just peeked over the horizon had somehow disappeared again. The sky felt like a dark heavy curtain pressing down, suffocating them.

Fog enveloped the streets. Suddenly, thick fog was omnipresent, as the visibility dropped to the point where one couldn't see their own hand.

At first, neither realized the seriousness of the situation until, after walking for a bit, the sandbag president suddenly asked: "Hey, do you think we've been going in circles?"

"Huh?" Nora Tatsu looked at him strangely, "I thought you knew the way, I've been following you."

"What? I've been following you!"

The two stared wide-eyed at each other, realizing the oddity of the situation.

It seemed they were lost.

"Darn it, can't you manage? Such a small place, yet you can't find your way?"

"Is it my fault? You didn't remember either?"

"I didn't notice it because I thought you would remember..."

"Shush, wait a minute," sandbag president interrupted the pointless argument, "there seems to be someone over there."

They quieted down and looked in that direction simultaneously.

He wasn't mistaken, there was indeed someone in that direction.

In a specific small area, the fog seemed to be gradually thinning. A transparent-like shadow emerged from behind the dense fog, with a small body, holding a black umbrella, like a flower symbolizing death.

She slowly emerged, with skin paler than health, her eyes as red as blood, with tear marks at the corners.

The two players' eyes almost popped out.

It was the Vampire Fraulein.
