Yubel stood up again, her heterochromatic eyes gleaming with determination.
She had to win, no matter how strong the enemy was.
Because she had promised, in this life and the last, to protect that person's safety.
No matter what the cost.
"At this moment, I flip my Set Card, the Trap Card 'Gamble'!" The trap in front of Yubel flipped open, "It can be activated when the opponent has more than six cards in hand, while I have two or fewer.
Toss a coin and call heads or tails.
If I guess correctly, I draw cards from the deck until I have five cards in hand.
If I guess wrong, I skip my next turn altogether!"
"Skipping your next turn... that's quite a gamble." Lamor said, "Is it really okay to leave your fate to luck?"
"Stop talking." Yubel snorted coldly, "I'm betting on heads!"
The coin flew up, the reflected silver light trailing a long arc in mid-air, each spin seemingly stretched into an infinite slow-motion in Yubel's eyes, intertwining her fate countless times between life and death.
The coin landed on the ground.
"Hmm... it seems at least the Goddess of Fortune hasn't abandoned you yet," Lamor said.
The coin showed heads.
"The effect of heads, I draw cards from the deck until I have five cards in hand!"
Yubel's expression remained neutral as her hand refilled to five cards.
She had to win.
Yubel narrowed her eyes, scanning Lamor's backfield.
On the front field were three powerful magicians, but she knew they were merely a decoy. The real strength of the Spellbook lay in magical power, and the Set Cards in the backfield were more deserving of attention.
If her guess was right, she suspected that among those Set Cards in the backfield, there was an eighty percent chance of another "Spellbook of Fate".
The Spellbook of Fate, by banishing three Spellbooks from the graveyard, can banish any card on the field. And it's a Quick-Play Magic, so it can be used even during the opponent's turn, very fierce.
If she didn't crack this move first, no matter what she did next, no Summoning or Monster would lead to a win.
"From my hand, I activate the Magic Card 'Graceful Charity'," Yubel said, "Draw three cards, then discard two from my hand."
The two cards were discarded to the graveyard, and then a card immediately popped back out.
"One of the cards I just discarded to the graveyard was this one, 'Tactician of Dark World'!" Yubel said. "When this card is discarded to the graveyard by a card effect, destroy one Magic or Trap Card on the opponent's field!"
"Dark World?" Lamor raised an eyebrow, "So you're one of the King's guards, and you possess the power of the Dark World?"
The Dark World, also a part of the domain ruled by The Supreme King. It's said to be a dark world filled with despair and evil, where demons are bloody and brutal.
Yubel focused intently on the two Set Cards in the opponent's backfield.
The last turn the opponent used a "Spellbook of Fate," and at the end of the turn, they searched for a card through the effect of the "Spellbook of Judgment" and still have it in hand.
So there's likely no more than one "Spellbook of Fate" among the two Set Cards.
A fifty percent chance.
"The card I want to destroy... is that one!"
The Set Card was pierced as if by a black spear, splitting open, and before disappearing, it flipped over to reveal it was indeed a "Spellbook of Fate"!
Lamor calmly watched the powerful Spellbook being destroyed, "It seems your luck is really good today."
"Quick-Play Magic 'Burial from a Different Dimension', return the banished monsters to the graveyard," Yubel said icily, "I return 'Yubel' to the graveyard.
Then I activate 'Pot of Avarice', returning five Monster Cards from the graveyard to the deck, shuffle."
Five cards popped out one by one.
"I return 'Skelengel', 'Yubel', 'Tactician of Dark World', 'Phantom Skyblaster', 'Giant Germ', five cards to the deck for a shuffle!"
The cards were inserted into the deck, which shuffled automatically.
"Then I draw two cards!"
Seeing "Yubel," freshly shuffled back into the deck, now back in her hand, she couldn't help but smile slightly.
Indeed, perhaps only her bond with herself is truly at its fullest.
"Next I'm going to Special Summon this card, on your field!" Yubel raised a card, her tone rising sharply, "Grinder Golem!!!"
A heavy, massive mechanical monster dropped onto Lamor's field, its iron armor decked out with torture devices, with a menacing saw-toothed wheel right in the forehead.
The whole image looked like a mechanical version of "Lava Golem."

"That's right," Yubel said, "'Grinder Golem' can be Special Summoned on the opponent's field, and I can also Special Summon two 'Grinder Tokens' on my field. The Tokens have both attack and defense of 0, but they can be used as Tributes for a Tribute Summon." (Anime effect)

The two Tokens dissipated into golden dust, a vortex of darkness emerged, and with a sweep of its dragon wings, Yubel's alter ego stood proudly in the center of the field.

"Here we go again," Lamor said, "Such a persistent and troublesome being."
"Hell or the Other Dimension, no matter how many times I will crawl out," Yubel said coldly, "No matter how many times."
Lamor looked at the huge iron giant now on his field.
"Special Summon 'Grinder Golem' on the opponent's field, then use the Tokens as Tributes to Tribute Summon yourself. In this way, attacking 'Grinder Golem' with your alter ego forces 3000 points of damage onto the enemy... a remarkable combo."
"Then I activate Equip Magic 'Fairy of Zero' from my hand, equipping it to my alter ego!" Yubel declared, "The equipped monster's original attack becomes 0, but it can attack twice per turn!" (Anime card)
"Original attack becomes 0..." Lamor said, "But your original attack was already 0, what a cheat of an effect indeed."

This effectively grants two free attack rights.
"Feel my resolve, my wrath!" Yubel shouted, "Attack 'Grinder Golem' with my alter ego!"

"Then flip my Set Card, Quick-Play Magic 'Mystik Wok'," Lamor said, "Tribute 'Grinder Golem' to gain Life Points equal to its attack value, which is 3000 points!"

Yubel's alter ego's red eyes flashed, and the wild Wheel of Prophecy, influenced by Spiritual Power, suddenly went out of control and roared as it unleashed a Magic Wave, only to be blocked by an invisible barrier, absorbed entirely and then rebounded with even greater force towards its controller!
Boom!!!
Lamor's slender body was blasted back, sliding far before he managed to half-kneel and stabilize himself.

"It's not over yet," Yubel said, "The effect of 'Fairy of Zero', the second strike!"
Yubel struck again!
The Wheel of Prophecy resisted unwillingly but couldn't withstand Yubel's spiritual inducement, letting out another roar and firing a Magic Wave once more.
Lamor, still half-kneeling before he could stand up, was hit head-on by the backlash wave. This time, he was sent flying, slamming heavily onto the ground.
