Chapter 299 - Chapter 118: That Stone, Is It With You? (4)

"If you want to get in touch with some knowledge earlier, you can come to my office to find me." Professor McGonagall was very pleased with Ian's attitude and gave Ian the privilege to knock on her office door.

"Thank you very much."

Ian immediately bowed slightly.

He actually had plans for the practice of Animagus, certainly not this year. After all, regardless of who supervises him, it is safest to enhance his Transformation Technique level as much as possible.

Otherwise, the scene of becoming half animal and half human... is indeed a bit too frightening. You know, such a failed magic transformation could very likely be irreversible for life. Just look at a noseless, hideously ugly face, and a much dimmer intelligence to realize how terrifying it is.

Just as Ian was about to walk towards the impatient Snape, Professor Sprout descended to his side. The Hufflepuff professor was quite satisfied with Ian's help to Hagrid.

"Why didn't you come to our Hufflepuff? I remember you always being very low-key in class, but I secretly saw you help several Hufflepuff little wizards during class."

Professor Sprout echoed what Professor McGonagall thought.

Her praise, however, made Ian's gaze dodge slightly, making him feel a bit guilty.

"You actually saw it..." The little wizard was somewhat worried that what Professor Sprout saw was him sharing some sensitive knowledge with a Hufflepuff little witch during class.

Insights on cultivating mutant biting cabbages from the Forbidden Book Area in the library.

Wasn't this considered too dangerous?

Ian just wanted to help his classmates unlock epic-level achievements.

This should also count as being helpful, right?

"It's time to go!"

Snape couldn't help but speak to Ian, thinking that if Ian continued to enjoy the praise like this, who knows what more shocking things could happen in the future.

"Yes, I think we should head back as well." Dumbledore raised his hand to look at the watch on his wrist, which was actually an ornament transformed from a broken Time Converter.

"Stay put when you get back, don't wander off." Professor Flitwick specifically reminded the little wizards from his academy, as he had also noticed that Ian tended to be a restless one.

"We should also get to our work." Professor McGonagall turned the direction of her flying broom, looking toward the deep Forbidden Forest, and flew out with a wild flying posture.

Professor Sprout and Professor Flitwick followed closely. Although they might be facing one of the most dangerous Dark Wizards in history, the three heads of houses obviously felt no fear.

As the three heads disappeared into the forest, Hagrid yelled, refusing to wait for himself either. He went straight into the depths of the Forbidden Forest, carrying the stretcher Ian had conjured up.

Indeed, he made quite a commotion wherever he went; Snape was not being unfair in this regard.

"Prince! I recall warning you not to cause me trouble again. Look at what you've done! You dared to brazenly provoke the Black Demon King!"

Once everyone else had left, Snape immediately started to berate Ian furiously. He seemed to have pent-up anger in his heart for a long time and now unleashed it all on Ian.

"What? So eager? So keen on making a splash, telling us, telling everyone, that you will replace the past Black Demon King?"

"I've never seen such an arrogant little brat like you!" Snape roared angrily in front of Dumbledore, with a tinge of lingering fear in his tone.

"I don't want to be the Black Demon King, uncle." Ian looked up at the black bat in front of him; his sincere tone somewhat improved Snape's expression.

At least this statement was in a good direction.

"You should be grateful that the Black Demon King's situation wasn't good! Otherwise, I think I would only be able to collect your corpse... No! Perhaps the Black Demon King wouldn't even leave you a corpse!"

"He knows better than anyone how to devour a child!" Snape seemed to want to frighten Ian with such sinister words, and Ian immediately pretended to be shocked, showing an incredulous expression.

"The worst didn't happen, so everything is fine, Snape. You don't need to be too harsh on Mr. Prince. He at least showed his courage in protecting others during a critical moment." Dumbledore, leading the way toward the school's castle, spoke softly in Ian's defense.

"He could completely notify us after driving that guy away, and see what he did, chasing that guy for dozens of kilometers in the Forbidden Forest!"

Snape still felt somewhat indignant.

"I was indeed a bit reckless." Ian immediately admitted his mistake. Choosing not to ignore Snape's performance, he already knew how to calm Snape down.

Sure enough.

Snape's expression turned from cloudy to somewhat clear.

"You must be confined, cleaning those foul-smelling toilets." Of course, he insisted on punishing Ian to teach him a lesson.

"..."

Ian believed this definitely wasn't the kind of confinement Hogwarts should have, but he also understood that Snape, as one of the heads of houses, indeed had the authority to impose such punishment on him.

"No magic allowed! I'll be watching you!" Snape's continued emphasis disrupted Ian's plans. To this, Dumbledore offered no assistance to Ian.
