Tenjo Hikari laughed heartily.
Two blasts, not bad.
Though not as "stable" as the negation, the blasts can disrupt Tenjo Hikari's strategy— for example, if Tenjo Hikari had dueled Caesar and drew a Cyber Dragon, the situation could have been different.
Different strategies have different countermeasures, and negation and destruction each have their pros and cons.
Unlike Caesar's negation, Manjome's strategy is to recycle and destroy the advantage tactics of cards. Moreover, Manjome's Trap Cards are also different from Caesar's Traps.
Cyberdark Invasion is entirely aimed at interference, while Manjome's Ojama Pajama Party and XYZ Hyper Cannon incorporate protection and recovery beyond disruption.
"I activate the Field Spell Card, Fusion Recycling Plant!" Tenjo Hikari raised a card, which was automatically recorded into the Duel Disk. Immediately, the interior of the massive spaceship underwent a frantic transformation, turning into Tenjo Hikari's usual fusion junkyard.
"Discard a card from my hand, and add one Polymerization from my Deck to my hand. I discard my Metalfoes Fusion and add Fusion Substitute from my Deck to my hand."
Tenjo Hikari saw that the opponent's destruction effects had been used up, finally allowing him to use this card openly.
This is also the advantage of Manjome's destruction, as Manjome can disrupt Tenjo Hikari's field at any point.
"The effect of Metalfoes Fusion in the Graveyard returns the card to the deck, shuffle, and draw a card— oh!" Tenjo Hikari's eyes lit up.
He was pondering what cost to pay to deal with those two Monsters, and was pleasantly surprised to draw a card that could efficiently destroy them.
"That Ojama Pajama Party can protect Light Attribute Machine-Type Monsters on the field from battle and effect destruction by banishing Ojama Monsters from the hand, field, or the Graveyard. It allows your Ojama Monsters to be discarded and even banished for protection in the Graveyard, and when Ojama Pajama Party is sent to the Graveyard, it can Special Summon all banished Ojama Monsters.
It's really troublesome, so Thunder, even leaving you interference, I can't let you have that card—
Activate the Normal Spell Card, Shaddoll Fusion!"
Tenjo Hikari flipped the card in his hand and showed it to Manjome.
The corners of his mouth kept lifting, "When your opponent has a monster that was Special Summoned from the Extra Deck on the field, this card allows Fusion Material Monsters to be sent from the Deck for a Fusion Summon.
I send Shaddoll Dragon and Light Attribute Monster Gaia the Magical Knight from my deck to the Graveyard."
"Uh... Light Attribute, Nephilim?" Manjome's expression was serious.
Tenjo Hikari raised his hands, clasping them together and said, "Darklord and humans, divine messengers and central controllers—all gathered into one!
Come forth!
The Fallen Stature!"
Tenjo Hikari waved his arms downward.
"LV 8!"
"El Shaddoll Construct!"
A purple aura emerged in the sky, and the divine light formed by puppet strings made the place shine even brighter.
With the new Duel Disk enhancing the figure, the Stature becomes massively majestic and far more realistic, scaring some Spirits watching into frantically flying backward.
El Shaddoll Construct, LV 8, Light Attribute, Fairy-Type, Attack Power 2800.
"Effect activation—" Tenjo Hikari snapped his fingers, "When Nephilim is successfully Special Summoned: send 1 Shaddoll card from your Deck to the Graveyard; the effect of Shaddoll Dragon, if this card is sent to the Graveyard by a card effect: target 1 Spell and Trap Card on the field; destroy that target."
Tenjo Hikari pointed to Ojama Pajama Party: "Destroy that troublesome card."
Manjome clicked his tongue.
Snap—
Ojama Pajama Party shattered on cue.
"Then, the effect of Nephilim allows me to send Shaddoll Beast from the Deck to the Graveyard." Just as Tenjo Hikari finished speaking, the card representing Shaddoll Beast had already been converted into data and sent into the Graveyard via the Duel Disk.
Quite good.
"The effect of Shaddoll Beast: when this card is sent to the Graveyard by a card effect, draw 1 card."
After drawing the card, Tenjo Hikari surveyed the items in his hand.
Excellent. He drew the card he wanted for dueling Manjome.
"Battle, El Shaddoll Construct attacks XYZ-Dragon Cannon!" Tenjo Hikari chose not to target the stronger XYZ Hyper Cannon, as during Manjome's turn, the unrestricted discarding of hand cards for destroying cards posed a greater threat.
Nephilim raised his hand, countless puppet strings reached out to XYZ-Dragon Cannon. The Dragon Cannon leaped out from the spaceship, dodging the strings frantically in the sky. Both sharing equal attack power, neither could defeat the other.
However—
"Nephilim's effect activates when battling a Special Summoned monster: destroy that monster at the start of the damage step!"
Finally, amidst the Dragon Cannon's desperate evasions, Nephilim's puppet strings firmly bound it and destroyed the Cannon.
Watching the Dragon Cannon turn into fireworks in space, Manjome felt a slight regret.
Yet, it was merely a regret.
Only two turns have passed, their Duel has just begun.
"Main Phase Two, set a card face down. End the turn, and at this instant, the effect of Fusion Recycling Plant activates. During your and my End Phase, target 1 Fusion Material Monster used for Fusion Summon this turn in your Graveyard; add that target to your hand." With interruption and protection, he couldn't entirely clear Manjome's field.
Tenjo Hikari manually opened the Graveyard, taking out a card: "I choose Gaia the Magical Knight."
Gaia?
Manjome pondered.
Gaia... does he plan to summon the Dragon Knight?
